What should be the two most straight forward votes of the season become rather interesting as T-Bird is throwing everything at the wall in her attempt to stay in the game. Lex is in danger at both occasions here, but manages to stay in the game thanks to his relationship with Tom, and a clutch immunity win. The chess match between Tom and Lex is coming to a head here as T-Bird's final plea might be all the Lex needs to win this endgame. Eventually, we do see the eventual boots of Kim P and Teresa in these two episodes, as the Boran four has secured a spot in the finale.

It's time for the first swap here on Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island! The swap produces some really interesting dynamics on both tribes. We really only see the Zamba camp this episode though, as the initial 6-3 tribe breakdown turns into a very dynamic 3-3-3 split, which each faction looking to combine with another. Mike leads the charge in staying Vuna strong, but eventually Anela and Chappies form closer bond, ending up with Mike going home in this episode. We see a lot of rewards being won, knowledge being shared and a great example of why logical, cerebral strategy isn't always the way to go.

We are approaching the endgame here on Survivor: Africa, as Tom and Lex are competing for numbers in these two episodes. We also see the uncomfortable reward with Frank and Brandon, a fun Survivor Auction, and Frank's game-ending rant.

We have arrived at what is, in my opinion, the focal point of Survivor: Africa. Today I talk about "Smoking Out The Snake", the ninth episode of the season, where they are coming from the vote-off of Clarence and the Boran tribe has a 5-4 advantage. After Lex received a rogue vote from T-Bird at the last tribal council, he goes on a witch hunt to find out who voted for him. He is convinced it was Kelly, and after letting her know this, she flips to the other side, but unfortunately for her Brandon also flipped, resulting in Kelly's elimination here.
Listen along as I talk through Ethan's iconic reward, Lex's blunders and my rant about Brandon's gameplay. Join me next time as I talk through episodes 10 and 11, "Dinner, Movie and a Betrayal" and "We Are Family".

It's merge time here in Survivor: Africa! Here is the episode where production tries to psych out the castaways by making merge a day later, which does nothing but make the episode a bit slower. The game has been shaken up, and Survivor has found a way to make the pre-merge less stagnant. It's time for the first ever swap here in Survivor Africa, and we will analyze here how the players in the game handle it. "The Twist" is an iconic episode of the show, but "I'd Never Do It To You" is a great follow-up as we see the other side of the coin over at Samburu, leading to the downfalls of Silas and Lindsey. I'll talk through the twist, Ethan's decision to throw the challenge, whether he should've thrown the second one too, and the blunder by the Samburu three. I continue my Survivor Africa rewatch with the third and fourth episodes, as we some memorable immunity challenges, dangerous predators at the Boran camp, and heavy conflicts at Samburu. I'm continuing on with my re-watch of Survivor: Africa, as I get into the second episode of the season, "Who's Zooming Whom?". In this episode, we get to see some of the tribe dynamics now that they have settled into their camps. At Samburu, there is a line in the sand as the older generation is preparing to go to war against the younger generation. Boran, who loses both challenges in this episode, starts to solidify an alliance with Ethan, Lex and Tom, while the others compete to prove themselves the most useful to the tribe. This does not go well for Jessie, who ends up being the weakest link.
