My own personal study notes, slides and presentations on the Isaiah chapters that are in both the Bible Old Testament and the Book of Mormon. We are counciled by prophets and the Savior himself to study and learn from the words of Isaiah. They parallel our times and are written for our day so that we can see and prepare for what is coming. Isaiah outlines how Zion is built and society collapses at the same time. The righteous must pass through this difficulty grow and prove their willingness to follow the Lords way.
Isaiah is called to make a public announcement to all those who will hear him. He announces that the attack of Assyria is "Imminent" and we only have a short time before they invade. Good news though. If we "fear God" and follow, we will have a sanctuary. Can you see who the modern day Assyria is?
Whether you are an end-times prepper or not, Isaiah gives us a good reason to have emergency food and water storage for what is coming. He also condemns corrupt government officials and walks us through this part of the collapse of our society's leadership, spirituality and supply chain system for commerce. But wait! He also reminds us that there is a safer way thorugh all of this. Follow Jehova and his prophet leaders to safety.
King Ahaz is faced with civil war when Isaiah confronts him. Assyria is also on the verge of attacking and invading Ahaz's country. Can you see the paralells to our day?
