!!! Throughout the episode there are small laughs that I make. That is because it is my reaction/defense when I misread or come across something intense. It always has been. I am in no way trying to imply that any of the topics discussed are amusing to me or that I’m unsympathetic. Just want that to be known because it is hard to edit them all out since they’re so short. I would also like to WARN that this episode will have discussion of the deaths at the Houston Astroworld festival that took place on 11/5/21. If this is something you’d like to avoid hearing about, please listen til 44:35, then skip to 60:49!!! Credits for the videos/topics I covered in order of discussion: @kinggwilliamss @thetashib @kylmasters @jociefit @thetruthsocial @defnoodlesspicy // My memory is not the best, so when I stated 3/8 were minors in the Travis Scott incident, I was incorrect. 2/8 with confirmed ages were minors according to the CNN article that I referenced during that segment. // As always, thank you for tuning in to my podcast. I hope you enjoyed and/or found this informative and will stick around to hear what I discuss next. Until then, be safe.

Today I discussed my history with perfumes, candles I recommend from B&BWs, D.S & Durga, and well-known inspiration perfume line Dossier. Heads up, the banging noises are not from my mic, they're from me putting stuff on the table that the mic is attached to and the mic mount shaking causing it to give feedback. My apologies I shall try and remember not to do this in the future.

I'm back again reading hilarious Yelp reviews that I've found. This time reading reviews from places I enjoy including both local businesses (that shall remain nameless), and chain restaurants. Just for fun, I also included what I order from these places. Let me know if what I order sounds good, and or what you think of these places.

Short essay by me. Being 20 is so lonely. It's a constant state of "what's going on," and being overwhelmed with stress and sadness. At least for me. For some reason I thought with time my life would get easier and I'd "grow into myself" and find my group of friends and finally have someone. Thus far, that's not the case. I just feel even more isolated and it's harder to make friends now because there isn't a place I'm at consistently where we'd have to interact. Online school has just made this even worse. My relationships with friends fell out because I was staying home while they continued to go out and do things. I got a bit left behind and now it's hard to catch up. I often ask myself, do I even want to catch up? What's the point? Looking back through my friendships, they've never been mutually fulfilling long term. Someone always cares more than the other, and that someone is always me. I just feel like maybe I don't have a place here. Maybe there aren't any friends for me. Maybe I need to accept that and start building my life solely around me and stop looking for companionship. There are a lot of maybes, and not many, if any answers. I guess that's what your 20s are.

Short essay by me.
Public schools teach socialism then slowly transition us to capitalism as we get older. In kindergarten, we were taught that if you don't have enough for everyone you can't eat. We're taught everyone gets something. That everyone gets the same amount. Sharing is caring.
How does all that change in the span of 12 years? The alphabet didn't change. How to count didn't change, so why did how to care for each other change?
In high school, it's impressed upon us kids that it's normal to see other people have less than you or even nothing. At lunch, kids who had no money in their account got the sandwich and that's it. Or sometimes they'd get completely turned away. At that point it doesn't matter that they're a kid and who's a part of the class, a part of the school, a kid who's hungry. Money is the motivator. In kindergarten, kids who didn't bring snacks to share still got to eat everyone else's snacks. That didn't last long.
I struggle to understand why they taught us to share when we live in a country that is so opposed to sharing. Why did they say everyone gets some, if not everyone gets something? It just seems like a pointless lesson.
Could it be because they felt bad corrupting kids from a young age? I don't know. All I know is that lesson did not hold true in the way that 2+2 did.

Short essay by me. Then a cover of the song American Privilege by Allen Stone (made clean because this is a clean podcast). On a Saturday, I heard this song called American Privilege from a randomly curated Spotify playlist, and I loved it. It’s vulgar, it’s honest, it’s raw and it really encapsulates the mind of Americans. It hits home in a lot of ways. I was like “Yeah, we are privileged. Most of us don’t care about the children working hours a day to make our fast fashion that we complain about when shipping is more than 3 days.” I listened to the song a couple more times that night really processing what was being said. Thinking I understand the meaning and it’s intention perfectly. Also feeling a bit good about myself because I make an effort to be socially conscious and consider how my actions affect those kids working to make clothes. The next day, I got ready to go grab some lunch for the family, and when I came out to get in my car I was embarrassed because it was covered in a thin layer of dirt. I hesitantly got in my car trying to decide whether or not to go to the car wash first because I don’t want the judgement of people with their nice clean cars. I just went to the restaurant. Somewhere along the way I put on the song. And this time it hit me that he’s singing about me. It is totally a privilege for me to be driving a semi new car and be embarrassed to drive it because it’s dirty. Think about that. I’m an American young adult living with my mom who bought me this car as a coming of age gift, and I’m embarrassed to be driving it because it’s dirty. Most people couldn’t even dream of having their own car, let alone a new one. Some people don’t even have running water. That made me hear the song in a completely different way. Yes I’m an American who’s generally conscious about what I have. I do try to give back to the community. I do charity work. I buy homeless people food. All these things that make us as people feel better about ourselves, but there’s no escaping the fact that we are immensely privileged. That’s exactly what the song is about. We do things and go places and buy things we don’t need because we can. We don’t have to think about every single thing we do. We don’t have to rub pennies together every time we want In-N-Out. That’s the American privilege that he's singing about. That’s what he’s getting at. The fact that we are so carefree with the choices we are able to make. I’m glad I heard the song.

On this episode of 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢, I did something I’ve yet to do on this podcast: I did an episode about a hot social issue and offered my perspective/statistics to back up my point of view. I know that there is no “right” or “wrong” opinion, and I don’t mind if people disagree with some of what I said, but I hope that people can hear my opinion and it opens their eyes to the reality of POC (specifically impoverished POC) in the U.S. All I ask if that you make your Veganism intersectional and include the needs of POC in your advocacy. Read more, share more, do more. We can all do better to fight climate change and play an individual or collective role to better the world. The point is, as it stands, for many people that role cannot include going vegan. For the sake of 2045 and on, we need to make changes now that allow for more POC to go vegan if they so choose. Let me know if you liked this episode, or if you’d like a part two on environmental racism. If you did like it, please share and follow the podcast for more! Thank you for the support.

In this episode of 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢, I rehash some of my most intense (disturbing) nightmares, and go over some of my real life experiences that ended up being nightmarish. Warning as this episode contains discussion of mortality and violence (not in graphic detail). If you have any hilarious/weird/disturbing dreams, feel free to submit them and they might be featured in a future part 2 of this episode. This is a new series I’m starting on my podcast called “HilariousYelpReview,” where I read reviews that I’ve scoured the internet to find, in funny voices. Luckily for me, the internet is full of people willing to share their terrible customer service experiences through this app called “Yelp.” This idea spawned from me reading the app in my free time for a forced laugh when I was feeling down. Seriously, try it, I guarantee it’ll change your mood. The idea to turn it into a podcast came from the podcaster “rSlash.” He’s also a YouTuber that reads various Reddit posts. Since he doesn’t read reviews, I figured I’d do that since I already do it. I hope you found this concept funny. Definitely check out rSlash!! Also, feel free to submit reviews you’d like me to read in the podcast via Reddit on the “r/hilariousyelpreview” page. Cheers!

I’m finally spilling the tea on that bad haircut I got a while back. For the sake of privacy and respect, I made this an audio-only story so that I could do my best to conceal the identity of the cutter. I find this story quite funny and in hindsight, it’s a hilarious picture to share. I hope you enjoy hearing about my months-long unintentional M’Baku cosplay! Please stick around as I’m starting a new series very soon where I read hilarious Yelp reviews! Thanks for supporting the “Thinkopedia” podcast.

I’m back! In today’s episode of Thinkopedia, we’ve entered Season 2. My plan is to do 1 episode for the Self Care Series or SCS a month, and 2 light-hearted episodes about random thoughts and/or ideas that are more relatable. Since right now I’m planning for 3 a month, I’ll be hopefully posting once every 10 days. This episode includes discussion about grooming/abusive relationships and how to recognize them, how to practically practice self love, the way Gen Z is approaching mental health, and love v. lust. This is a pretty diverse and serious episode, but I think it’s worth the listen. If you enjoy the podcast, share it with friends. Remember to be kind to yourself and others! In this episode of “Thinkopedia,” I discussed my experiences working retail (as my first job) and working fast food. I was very honest and gave advice on how to succeed in those positions. Although I didn’t give the names of the places that I was employed, this advice applies to most retail or fast food places. I hope you enjoyed this episode and/or learned something!

We cannot excuse ourselves of responsibility because we believe the person we elect president will do all the work for us. Social responsibility is real. Homelessness is a problem. We can change it. We can make someone’s life a little easier. Please join me in the fight for homeless rehabilitation and support. Google resources specific to your area and donate or volunteer, when and if, possible. This generation has the power to make a huge impact, but we have to get to work. I believe in us, and I believe this is a cause worth fighting for. Thank you for listening, and your endless support! Stay safe, and do well for yourself AND others.

Is social media giving us a false perception of what we should be doing with our lives during quarantine? I think so. On today’s episode of “Thinkopedia,” we’re diving into quarantine and health. Content warning: this episode contains brief (nondescript) mentionings of depression and suicide due to suicide prevention month. If you are feeling suicidal, please call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at (800) 273-8255, and know that you ARE loved and needed!
