Why is it so difficult to speak in front of a group of people? It can even be tough for me - someone who speaks on the radio every day! It's a type of adrenaline that's a bit different. To this day we still don't know who banged on my grandparent's window March 6th 1963 at 9:30pm. They were alerted about Norwich's Mohegan Park Spaulding Pond Dam bursting. As millions of gallons of water came barreling towards them they unknowingly got in the car with their 3 sons heading to what they believed would be safety. Instead Margaret 'Honey' Moody was torn from her family by the waves. Pebs retells the story she has heard over her lifetime about her Guardian Angel and Grandmother that has become a part of Norwich's history.
