On this 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas, 26 July 2021, it gives me immense pleasure to narrate the heroic story of Naib Subedar Sanjay Kumar who showed unparalleled bravery in defeating Pakistani army units who had captured Point 5140 and 4875 in an act of deceit.

If you are a beginner in Samskritam, please read this summary for an easier understanding of the story: Tenali Rama went to the forest in search of a herb🌿. There, some tribals caught him! Their leader gave him a challenge, to tell a sentence. If the sentence is true, then they will cook him in hot water and eat. If the sentence is false, they will fry him and eat him!😲 Tenali Rama told, “You will fry and eat me" as his sentence. The leader could not decide if that sentence was true or false! If that sentence was true, then they should cook him in hot water. Then the sentence becomes false! If false, then they should fry him, but then the sentence becomes true!😉 Accepting the defeat, the leader freed Tenali Rama and gave him the herb.
ಗಿಡಮೂಲಿಕೆಯೊಂದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ತೆನಾಲಿ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿನ ಜನರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ನಾಯಕ ತೆನಾಲಿ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ವಾಕ್ಯವೊಂದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ವಾಕ್ಯ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿ ತಿನ್ನುವುದಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತಿನ್ನುವುದಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆಗ ತೆನಾಲಿ ರಾಮ “ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಇದು ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ನಾಯಕ ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳಗಾದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಸತ್ಯವಾದರೆ ತೆನಾಲಿ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ನೀರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿ ತಿನ್ನಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುಳ್ಳಾದರೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತಿನ್ನಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ವಾಕ್ಯ ನಿಜವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸೋಲೊಪ್ಪಿದ ನಾಯಕ ತೆನಾಲಿ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಮೂಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
