We were married in 2000. On our podcast we discuss our life journey: being in business together, making plans, having experiences, achieving accomplishments and dealing with setbacks. How we keep moving forward and continue to grow with each other physically mentally and spiritually.
This podcast, "#104 JTP - Conversations with a Coffee-Drinking, Fantasy-Loving, Martial Arts Master," delves into a variety of topics, often tied together with humor and light-heartedness. The discussion kicks off with a talk about coffee preferences and video recording quirks, quickly transitioning into casual chatter about how the hosts perceive and interact with their surroundings.
An interesting part of the dialogue involves exploring various societal archetypes and fantasies, with references to the allure of characters like the French maid, nurse, and librarian. The hosts speculate on the motivations behind these fantasies, offering their own perspectives, though they clarify they don't have professional expertise in this area. The conversation continues, touching upon the realm of martial arts, with the hosts reflecting on their decades of experience.
They discuss the role and perception of women in martial arts and wider society, highlighting the importance of individual characteristics and drive. Later on, they recount personal stories, like a humorous tale of a snow blower mishap and discussing past relationships, which adds a sense of relatability to their banter. They end by reflecting on the archetypes they discussed earlier in the podcast, bringing the conversation full circle.

The podcast is casual and includes some off-topic exchanges. While discussing relationships and the importance of work ethic and self-care. Jon talks about his experience as a single father, his love for martial arts, and his practical nature when it comes to dating. He emphasizes the importance of vetting a partner's work ethic and self-care rather than just their appearance or material possessions. How to Work with Women and all Their Thoughts and Emotions
Jon shares how #realmenarebuiltforwomen and can help them with their thoughts and emotions. Using the computer analogy, women have multiple thought windows open at a time with emotional pop-ups surfacing as well. Guys, as we know, operate in one window at a time. This is the analogy used in the book For Men Only by Shaunti and Jeff Feldhahn, and rings true for Jon and Tara. Listen for real-life examples, roots of common issues, and solutions.

I am into speaking what I want. Which a lot of people in metaphysical realm would say that's casting a spell, you're spelling a word, you're sounding it out. You're speak trying to speak into existence what you want. That is true. I am very much against people trying to use any kind of force or will or magic or anything like that on other people, or even on other situations. I mean, you know, people would say, Well, do you pray for things? And then they would say that that's a spell, you're casting a spell. And I believe in the power of the word. And I believe in the power of the vibration of the spoken word. And, you know, I've had people say things that maybe I won't get into right now, but that I've had to work to dissipate, and that type of thing.
