In this episode we talk with author and mentoring guru Alex Allison about engaging with disabled audiences across a variety of subjects including publishing and entrepreneurship.

Alex is the head mentoring guru at the social entrepreneur mentoring and speakers organisation Expert Impact. What is less known is that Alex is a published author of fiction including the novels ‘The Art Of The Body’ and ‘The Prodigal’ and even less known is that he writes Youtube video scripts and acts as mentor to the winners of the Perito Prize short story competition. We cover off two distinct topics in the podcast. The first is looking at engaging with disabled social entrepreneurs and second, rooted in his literary experience, is about engaging with disabled literary audiences.

A Perito Prize Story Episode:
The Perito Prize is the global short story competition all about accessibility and inclusion. We will feature a short story every now and again on the podcast to make a fun change and to celebrate the work of the authors right around the world who write about inclusion and accessibility.
In this episode we are treated to a reading by Margarita Meklina of her own short story 'The Spirit Can't Be Confined'. Margarita asked Maja Elliott to produce the accompanying music and the result is a stunning production that really brings the Perito Prize 2019's 2nd place story to life.
