In the Philippines, a [video of a dancing bride went viral] (https://www.facebook.com/leticiasgardenresort/videos/1483802145783690) as she nailed a surprise dance number for her groom. Well, my girls and I do not intend to go viral but if there is one thing that my girlfriends and I know, it's too give it OUR ALL when we dance, especially when we were doing it for @brokemancode. With me are my fellow Hiver friends and BFFs @proteancreator, @anneporter, and non-Hivers Nanay Juli and Ara Babe. The concept was originally crafted by Fit&Fab Pole and Aerial Performing Arts Owner Nanay Juli, who did the costumes as well Fit&Fab Closet. The choreography was conceptualized by Fit&Fab Pole Fitness coach @anneporter and all I had to do was make sure my girls were well-fed during practice.
Initially, we wanted this to be a surprise. I had to make up excuses for Fred not to notice why I was busy most of the time. Wedding planning is not an easy task, but the moment my girls agreed to do a dance number with me, my heart was filled with excitement! All of the stress from wedding planning was replaced with delight and thrill from being able to share the stage with my girls. I love these girls so much, they all had to sacrifice just to make this happen. I remember one time when we had to practice at 6:00 am sharp, my dad asked "Why so early?" To that I answered "Because my dancers are business owners. They open their shops at 9 am!" Someone also had to cross islands just to practice and I can imagine how much of a hassle that is! Someone allotted her work time just to finish the routine and someone had to skip family time just to polish the steps! I am indeed the luckiest bride in the world.
Thankfully, Fred also felt like he was the luckiest groom at that time to have witnessed goddess energy :) right before his very eyes. Hope you like our performance too!

Last March 16, 2023, a fellow Hiver @proteancreator, and I had the honor of being in a panel with powerhouse women. They come from the fashion industry, social entrepreneurship, architecture and internationally-recognized organizations.
We had the chance to share about Hive and how we came to know the Web3 space through it. Here's the clip of my sharing. In case you also want to view the rest of the talk, here is the link: https://tinyurl.com/56e2wrba.

Kudos to @hiveph for running an entire year (or more?) of Hive Onboarding. Since this is (probably) the last Onboarding Webinar for the Year, I decided to promote it on Instagram, Meta and Twitter.
I've been wanting to make a promotional video like this since last month but somehow, my worries got ahead of me.
"My camera's not that good enough."
"People will not watch this."
"No one will show up."
"People will think this is networking."
lol
I just let all these thoughts run through my head and did the video anyway. I was on my way to a client meeting and my client moved the time last minute so I thought, "Why don't I make a video now?"
At the end of the day, the Onboarding Webinar was a success. I had an inquiry, but she didn't show up. Hivers liked and shared the promotional video on Twitter and most importantly 1 Hive is still 1 Hive!
I'm happy I did this :)

Put a finger down if you're a female with body image issues. Put another finger down if you wished you had that girl's butt or her height or her boobs or her nose. Put a finger down if you've guilt trip yourself for eating too much at dinner. Another finger down if you've dreaded weighing yourself on the scale. By now, I only have one finger left - my pinky finger.
I really like this video of me and the Fit & Fab Studio girls because it shows just how different our bodies are. This was taken during one of our sexy jazz dance classes, it was such a fun time. The dance steps weren't perfectly executed but the way our different bodies moved to the beat of the music looked beautiful. Everybody's body looked beautiful. I guess it took me a recorded dance video to see it. Being in the studio made me realize how stretch marks and unshaved armpits didn't make you less of a woman. They are perfectly normal. It also made me realize that dance doesn't discriminate, it welcomes people of all sizes and shapes.
Remember the one finger that I didn't put down? I'm using it to pinky swear. I promise to myself that I will take care of my body in the best way that I can. I will not bully and take it for granted. I will nourish and clean it until I no longer can.

Our pole studio's trademark has always been the summer recital. Due to the pandemic restrictions, we had to adapt. This was my piece for our first online recital. Hope it didn't show that I was shaking inside! Even if I've done this for a couple of times already, it still feels as nerve-wracking as the first time.
