About Dave Willis
Co-founder & Head of Whiskey Production, Dave is a co-founder and heads up all facets of whiskey production. As kids growing up on a working farm, Dave and his brother Will made cider from apples that grew on the property. It wasn't long before an appreciation for cider lead to an appreciation for hard cider. That lead to experimentation with apple brandy, which they crafted using a small one-gallon still. Dave proved particularly adept at the science of fermentation, distillation, and aging. He has overseen the research, development, and launch of their award-winning spirits and, in 2017, shifted roles to focus exclusively on whiskey production.

After “If it ain’t Baroque” barrel, one of the stave flavors was retired and we were “grandfathered” in to continue to use. This meant that only L&K could produce this expression!
Well all good thing come to an end and the retired staves have run out so, this will be the last barrel.
In all that time the stave combination was not made public…

Their story.
In 2006, when Andy and Charlie Nelson drove to a small town in Tennessee to see a butcher, what they found was their destiny. In passing, the two mentioned stories they’d heard about their family’s whiskey business. The butcher, located on Distillery Road, pointed them to the local historian, who proudly showed them two perfectly preserved bottles of Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey produced by their great-great-great grandfather. Time stood still and from that moment on, the brothers have dedicated their lives to resurrecting their ancestor’s top-quality whiskey appreciated by aficionados everywhere.
Artfully crafted in the heart of Music City, our spirits can be found nationwide. From Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey, which uses Charlie and Andy's great-great-great grandfather’s original recipe, to our latest expressions of Nelson Brothers Whiskey, their family is continuously growing, always building on the traditions of great American whiskey.

Back in 2000, John Glaser was working for a large UK distiller when he realized that there was so much that hadn’t yet been explored in the world of Scotch whisky. An American living in London, he decided to do something refreshingly different and bring the joys of Scotch whisky to more people in exciting new ways.
So, he started Compass Box, an inventive company based on the long-lost model of the Scotch whisky blending house, but with a forward-looking approach and an unrelenting desire to create deliciousness.
Originally working from his kitchen, Compass Box has grown over the years and now has two dedicated Blending Rooms in London.

To celebrate the launch of its first set of limited edition releases from the “Nikka Discovery” series in the US – Single Malt Yoichi Non-Peated and Single Malt Miyagikyo Peated - Int'l Business Development Manager, Emiko Kaji, will be leading three rare Nikka Whisky virtual masterclasses in the U.S. The masterclass will include tastings of Single Malt Yoichi Non-Peated Limited Edition, Single Malt Miyagikyo Peated Limited Edition, Single Malt Yoichi, Single Malt Miyagikyo and two surprise samples, as Emiko introduces us to the “Nikka Discovery” series, limited editions designed to showcase the depth of Nikka’s whisky-making process that it has practiced since 1934.
