It seems lately our society is becoming more and more polarized. We are entrenching ourselves so strongly in our beliefs that we’re forgetting our humanity. Social media is feeding us a steady diet of extreme sensationalized viewpoints that only divide and tribalize us in an effort to profit off our fear of “them”. Whoever “they” are for you.
In my new podcast, I sit down with a friend who is for all intents and purposes, “Them”. According to politics, religion, society, social media, the news, Rodney is supposed to be my enemy. Funny thing is though, we are actually good friends. How does that work?
That’s what I’m setting out to find. Through a series of genuine respectful conversations, I’m interested in building bridges over our differences. I feel that if society keeps heading down this divisive path, our communities, way of life and our country is headed for darker times.
