This week marks the 50th anniversary of the UN’s infamous Soviet-inspired “Zionism is a form of racism” resolution (3379) adopted by the General Assembly on 10th November 1975. In his famous speech then-US Ambassador to the UN Patrick Moynihan condemned this resolution as “an obscenity”. It's currently Pesach. The Jewish people celebrate God’s liberation of His people from oppression in Egypt. Today, the Jewish people need to be liberated from the oppression in the United Nations. The United Nations works on the principle of “one state, one vote”. There are 193 member states. UN General Assembly Resolutions require a simple majority. Important issues, including many of those on Israel/Palestine, require a two-thirds majority – ie. 129 votes required.A majority of UN member states hold to official policies that are anti-Western. A significant number of states do not even recognize Israel’s existence. And some (such as Iran and Turkey, and states in their sphere of influence) officially seek to eliminate the Jewish state.

The Israeli-Hezbollah war in Lebanon rages. According to the IDF, 1200 Hezbollah fighters have been eliminated in ground operations since October 2023. Israel’s Air Force continued this week its strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. The focus has been on locations for weapon manufacturing as well as storage of Hezbollah financial assets. Suburbs of Beirut and the ancient coastal city of Tyre have been a special focus of Israeli attacks. The Bible speaks clearly about a conflict in the last days before the coming of Messiah, between the nations of the world and the God of Israel, in which the physical city of Jerusalem plays a central role. On 7th October 2023, the non-state organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) invaded Israel. Oct. 7 seems a long time ago. But for many Israelis it feels like yesterday. We speak with Neta and Santiago, who together survived the October massacre. They lived in Kibbutz Kfar Aza in the south of Israel. The kibbutz was invaded and destroyed by Hamas terrorists and many of its residents were massacred or abducted.
