Something must chase humanity out of poverty Something must chase humanity out of lack Something must chase humanity out of gluttony

It’s in the ideals of what is to come, that we see That we need more than we can think as we foresee, The danger in being an island without counsellors  The longer we stay in this place, we become oblivious

Some wear the coat of honor like a badge of wealth Some tear the coat of honor like a bridge of death

Heaps of treasures, cannot save mankind at the end Heaps of pleasures, cannot save mankind at the end Heaps of insurances, cannot save mankind at the end

A storehouse of wisdom and understanding is foolproof  Even in the days of pain or struggle there’s a leap of hope  In those who beget understanding and wisdom  As they will suffer less

No one will know, until we can make up our hearts In the wells of spring in Africa never foster shame We are a people of huge resilience in a pool of arts No wonder some think we’re to be hidden from see

No one will know us by the names of our countries If we can take up the same new beginning of history We can finally tell stories where no upholder cries Everyone will see a cohesive Africa with a new story

We can finally tell of how we managed to conquer Not because of wars amongst our brethren from afar But we can sing melodies of hope in one manner We will finally take out the roots of discord and soar

Into the blues of hope they will see the African skies And we will watch the rest of our story in full shades

We enlighten the one who is far, But keep the one close, in bondage

We are to be broken by distance, If we can’t call closer to home

We work against the neighbor, But try to reach out to internationals

We take each other for blood brothers, Yet we still shift each other for money

Monuments can be built in one day, If we can foster communities of love

We make fun of our shortcomings, And take pride in our heritage of uniqueness

Pride is enshrined in our multitude of languages, While customs divide us from understanding us

No trust can be given, if I can’t accept you No wells filled with money can ever buy trust

So many ways we attribute to being us But was it the way we are to be called?

The African unity expressed in this day, Sadly, is not the same in living color of today

Hate against a continental brother or sister is sad Some inflate with love, but some spread cold tad

If I don’t come with love, division is an agenda for me Sadly, no one ever wins alone in a world of self-made

The glory is in individualism and not in unity The backdrop of Africa was inseparability

A unity that was inseparable was conquered by slavery A mind divided from humanity is enchained in misery

No wonder it takes only one man to bring all to a fall No wonder we still allow the same people to decide all

We are yet to learn that manmade ideas are not ours We are yet to free ourselves from inflating men’s mistakes

Ours is not to mind the land from each other But to protect each other and love one another

Mentality needs to be reestablished, not with old roots But we need to plant our seeds in springs of new pots

How many times will we allow oppression in? The cost of civilization is burning history untold Hidden agendas make for never ending twofold

When will we express our viewpoint? The master parades as the savior of desolate Africa The evil eye of the master is hidden behind the mascara

How can we learn to unite for our own solutions? Proverbial sayings show the history of a very bruised people Unity is seen as a loaded carriage of wealth for Europe

What makes people fight against each other for bread? Our natural worth is seen in our natural reserves No wonder man gives us food in exchange for resources

How angry are we for knowledge? We can fight with might, but the enemy knows the acts If it’s unrecorded, it never existed, but we still want arts

When will we serve the majority? According to our democracy, the majority rules But our enslavement is in the hands of the elitist

When will be tire of the system? We abhor the enslaver, but we still apply the ideas We suffer pain for our inability to create new systems

Costly wars are as grass in a green park Wars starts with the need to suffocate Others believe that it can just end

While others seek vengeance for pain It costs to be at war with a State Deception is laced with propaganda

Hero mentality is the root of exploitation Sufficiency is the control sold to nations But all in all, people get pictures of wars

Beyond imagination, our ways were advance Now we have allowed nations to rule Africa Taking freedom of movement in exchange for jobs

Barrels of lies are in ‘opportunities for the people’ It’s nothing but vain repetition of cycles of poverty Holding the resources to one king, but never sharing

If there is freedom in anything, it will be taken by force If force doesn’t work, subtle strategy will rule the foe If the strategy is not enough, disease will get debt inside

If the raging force of a roaring lion doesn’t work, Best believe that doves will be distributed for steadily gains By any means necessary— stories will be sold as war invades

Like the towers of Babel Confusion divides us well Barriers are innate in our speech

Casting our pride on our tribe We sell those we hate easily For we can’t see our own reflection

The more we see, we open up But most of us stay the same In one place, until we depart

Language is rooted in preservation But it’s also the impolite delight of belittlement, Especially to our own brothers and sisters

How can we stand against another continent? When there’s too much pride in heritage Instead we compete for prestige

No wonder it never takes much to conquer us We respect billionaires more than our own people We leap to the knowledge of pride in us and fight Ourselves

Other nations fought hard to erase the wisdom

The oldest people of origin still survive today

Africa will wake up when it unites for same

Division has long divided Africa of its senses

The boarders made Africa a tribe of clusters

No one wants to acknowledge that we are one

Ideologies and formation of evolution erode us

People cry ‘foul’, while pushing their own agenda

The trees can speak of how many times trust is broken

Branches are not enough to tell of broken promises

Lies are told daily and fed to the people like bread

Our staple meal is how can we sell Africa for more

Enriched by our knowledge of self, but not of our people

Peace is traded for acceptance with the rest of the world

At the expense of trading one oppressor for another

The lesser of two evils always manages to take Africa

For a joy ride around the world,

While its heartbeat fades away.

The Pinnacle of Africa Ding-Dong!

Rise to the turbulent sounds of Africa

Sunsets are previews of scenes of the best movies

Enchanting echoes of lands with vibrant skies

To this day, tourist marvel at the wilderness

Much of the West, still thinks it’s a country

Click licks!

Surround sound soothes the people with discord

Broken hearts emerge because of sellouts

Exchanging change for our livelihood is the norm

Watch out for sleeves shaper than a sword!

The suits shout sounds of freedom all the time

But selling the land is part of the package deal

Speak not of the people’s freedom!

It’s an illusion that invades the poor of sleep

It takes manmade ideas to change a few

But so many are still in chains of Africa’s massacre

I speak restoration onto things that are stolen

I speak revival onto things that are destroyed

The enemy came only to steal, kill and destroy,

But the Lord came, that we may have life

And life in boundless abundance.

Life brings everything that the enemy killed

Restoration is the restitution of everything stolen

Revival brings back what the enemy destroyed

God hates death, for there's eternal life in Him

God's favor puts back our blessings in us

God’s intention is to destroy evil, but not His image

We must feel God's love to know how alive we are

We must see God's gift to know that we have enough

We must hear God's voice to know that we are blessed

To follow God's way is to take up the cross and be alive

To follow God’s presence is to know that we are loved

To follow God's voice is to feel His presence in us

Put God first and everything will follow you

His presence is a magnet for blessings

His love covers a multitude of sins

There's no fear where love abides.

We are carried through the pain

We are loved through our past mistakes

We are taken care of, even when we don't deserve it

We are loved through the shame of our carnal ways

We manifest the Spirit of God when we are about

Our Father's business in Christ Jesus, as He is,

So Am I

The spoils of this world never last a lifetime

One moment there’s plenty,

Then there’s no slice of bread to spare.

At the door of poverty there’s no fuss

Things become simple when the time is

Drawing to the end than the days left to live

There is comfort in knowing that the curtain

Can close anytime and no one is spared a call

Working to acquire heaps of rags is futile

At the end of this life we leave it all behind

No one can take what they never came with

We all depart as naked as we once were in birth

All the gold in the Queen’s castles can’t rival

What death has for all of us, at the end of this life.

But there’s a promise of eternal life through the

One and only King,

God can save all who come through Jesus

Stranded in a foreign land

Turned into a slave for the king.

Little did you think of freedom.

Four hundred years seemed

Like eternity in an abandoned island

Pharaoh’s land is God’s planetary

Nothing is out of reach for the God of gods

Even if kings’ rule with metal.

The order of their tight grip crumbles

Like the books on a secured library

It all comes to an end some day

Who knew that Moses, would lead?

God had a plan to show kings,

That there is only one king, who rules on earth

God is above the earthly way

The blood on the doorpost motions

Peace with God, but demise,

For those who are outside the covenant.

In the wild, the enemy tested the people

As they were ruled by their emotions

It was the shadow of what is, and was to come

As the people failed to enter the promised land

Flooding with milk and honey

The struggle was a glimpse of a ray of hope

In the Son of God, who escorts us back home

As the Son of Man is crucified for our sins

We are all afflicted in his death for us, and by

Our own hands, we are all guilty, and have fallen

Short of God’s glory; and only the blood of the

Precious lamb of God can allow us to enter in His

Rest…

‘My child, if there is unforgiveness in you, let it go!’

Remember to leave the temple and be reconciled with your brethren

Blessings are taken away just because we forget to hope in peace too

In all that we ask for in the Lord, let us always remember that all is well

For those who trust in God, despite the adversity of visible circumstances

The secret to answered prayers lies in forgiveness

The Scripture says, ‘Obedience is better than sacrifice’

We are ought to obey God’s Word, since it lives as we breathe

We are ought to leap in God like similitude, as Jesus Christ is in heaven

The life we get is from the Father’s heart, and we are His heartbeat

Let your spoken arguments be pleasing to the Lord, above all else

Let your heart be the pulsation of the righteousness of our Lord

By the unction of the Holy Spirit

Let the peace that surpasses understanding pass right through you

Race pass the fortified walls placed by the enemy in God’s love for you

In all you do, let the grace of God be in giving love and forgiving all

Then mountains will surely be moved and into the sea will they all fall

Why would I stand as if I am crushed?

What made me lose faith so quickly?

One moment I was moving like there is no mind

But in a storm, all I could see was the wind

I never paid it too much heart in the heat of the day

But as soon as I was in a storm, all I saw was the harshness

Little did I know that trouble was approaching

When I stood beside the Lord in the whirlwind.

But when He was resting, I chose to be restless and I panicked

Like I had no confidence in His assurance to safe me

The ship could sink, and I would drown without His consent

Little did I think of the Lord when He was resting on a cushion

I was more concerned about my own life, I never thought that

My head would stay above the water, if the boat folded into the sea

Therefore, I still can’t see passed my own illusions, I still fade to fear

Oh no, what do my feelings say?

Oh no, what do my instincts say?

Oh no, that gut locater seems to be off today

I can’t look to the past for the lessons of how to hope in faith

I didn’t look to the One who said

‘I will never forsake you, nor leave you’

Why won’t you believe that He won’t leave you standing in the storm

Or drown to your demise

Even if you do drown

How about believing that all things work together for our good

Especially, for those who trust in the Lord when the storm is raging on

Life is given by the Lord; men think they can take what belongs to Elohim

But God restores the joy not because we have what we lost now

But simply because, we now understand and accept His wisdom.

Rejoice oh faithful servant

Rejoice child of God

Believe in His promises

Yes, and Amen.

In Christ Jesus our Lord we have faith.

You have spent enough time in the wilderness

Now it's time to move forward

Let your heart rejoice in the expectation of what is to come

Let all the troubles melt away like a burning candle

But always keep the light in your heart to correlate with the words you speak

Keep your hope on the promised Word of God

Abide in what God can do for you.

Seek adventure once again, experience a glorious life like never before.

Keep your mind, soul and heart on the promises of God

Say Amen to Abba's promises

Say Yes to Yeshua's righteousness

For the promises of God are Yes and Amen

It is so, for those who believe in truth and in spirit.

Don't let the confusion create division amongst all who are called

Seek the truth, and correct with the same compassion that God shows to you

We have all fallen from the apex of God's standards

No one could do better than Adam and Eve,

So, God, the Father gave us His one and only begotten Son

He died for us and showed us what grace is,

When He took all our sins in His marvelous sacrifice as our sin offering

In all this, God's love manifested to all nations

On Grace upon Grace we are saved, and live with Christ now

Remember that love will prevail when all fails

Ensnared to the mischief of our own desires

Wilding out to the cravings of our own selfish ways

We fail to see the fall of taking in everything

No one seems to wall in the ending result

This has caused men and women their freedom

Yet it’s still seen, as a casual affair, that’s fun

There’s no laughter in pain when the safety belt is unhinged

No one seems to position the end game with insults

It takes too much time to recognize the truth while in the mud

But, no one sees that the walls are caving in from the inside out

There are things that need to be reeled in, when there’s no rout

To follow in clear stairways, it all seems to end in misery of blood

It takes God to rid us of impulsive rebellion in our desires

All the wilding out is a cry in discomfort of God’s right ways

We are offered a freedom to do as we please, but not everything

Is good for us, we are to sleepout on the side of caution

And in God always consult

It takes being broken brothers to know that love is lost

We stand on the accord of what we hate the most

To know that something is missing from us

No one knows how to sing along to the rain

It always moves to its own melody,

yet special to all of us

My love language changed when I didn’t get my way

I stood at the brink of dying, because I forgot God’s beatitudes

Even if I never get to be who I thought I would be,

I can’t lose hope in the main purpose of loving others

I can’t reflect God’s ways, if I stick to being right in me

Giving up a seat at the table is not punishment in any way

To say, ‘you love', it must always partner up with your actions

To submit your ways is a sign of humility, because you know

That giving up your agenda is how you surrender to God’s ways

When you move without your specifications and demands,

You learn compassion and peace speaks, you passed love for all

When you surrender all to God, you forgive all in kindness as you fall

When the building crumbles, there is no harbour of hate in sight of us

When bodies continue to move forward the foundation of love is in us

Then we know that God’s love is us

In this day, I am grateful that I can persist once again

Even if there’s no warmth felt in anything, I do gain

Something that can’t be touched by the naked eye

As I see what I never thought could be, I still try

Yesterday was terrible to put any confidence in

Tomorrow, that might never be seen within my grasp

Today is what I can put something in, without sinking in,

Even if I never know what the outcome is, I still endure

Now is the time to take hold of dreams that died

With the ashes that made me quiver when I fell

It’s not that I didn’t try, but it’s the intimacy

Of rolling the course longer than the crash of a trial

How do you stay in a position of hope, when all fails?

No one can dictate what we can hope for in our day

It’s a choice we make when we remain very gracious,

From the hardest knock to our goals from the unknown

Every Word that God speaks is an action

Nothing can be refuted if it’s said by God

The confirmation of it is an affirmation for us,

But the prevention of punishment from happening is

Forgiveness for those who heed God’s precious Word.

How does faith await those who are keen to move by it?

Listen to the voice crying out in the wilderness,

For the One who is for us is greater than all.

In Christ Jesus I am redeemed

No weapon conspiring against me shall prevail

I stand on the brink of hopelessness and shout,

“God is with me!”

The love endures when I am about to give up in dismay

The Word echoes in my mind and inspires me to motion forward

We stand according to His Word

We withstand everything according to His grace

We stand in His Word, only by hearing it, in faithfulness
