In honor of Black History Month we are joined this week by Academic Advisor, Head Advisor of Black Student Union, and friend of the show Cornell Bondurant! He discusses his journey to RVC, how he came to be the advisor for BSU, what being an advisor means to him and all of the events being held for Black History Month. We also ask him the question that's been on all our minds: would you rather have to breathe like Darth Vader or talk like Yoda?

On this week's episode, the Admissions Team is joined by two of our Peer Mentors Judy and Oge! They give us their perspectives as current RVC students and talk about things they've done to help themselves succeed. Our question of the week this time: What fictional character do you resonate with the most?

Amanda is the Getting Started Center Coordinator and tells us all the ways her department helps new students through events and resources. One of the biggest contributors to success in college is the support of those you surround yourself with. In this episode the Admissions Team talks about how they broke out of their comfort zones to make friends in college and qualities to consider when building new friend groups.
College and life are already stressful as it is, but 2020 has caused even more of it. Today we talk about how we all dealt with stress during our college journeys, and hopefully this makes your day a little less hectic. Just know you're not alone, and we're here for all of our Golden Eagles :)
