An eating disorder is a mental health condition where you use the control of food to cope with feelings and other situations. Unhealthy eating behaviours may include eating too much or too little or worrying about your weight or body shape. Eating disorders affect up to 5% of the population, most often develop in adolescence and young adulthood. Today's guest Alida Gjoka says that with awareness and a shift to a more conscious way of being, people can recover from an eating disorder. She shares her journey of developing an eating disorder and how it helped her cope with anxiety, stress, pressure and seeking attention from her parents. In Part 1 of our conversation Alida shares very vulnerable and raw how it affected her life, her relationships, why she actually developed an eating disorder and what helped her to heal. We hear more about her journey to awareness and a more conscious way of living. She also talks about the significance of Yoga and Meditation offered by Sadhguru, which helped her tremendously. She shares that eating disorders can be very serious conditions affecting physical, psychological and social function. Types of eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder, other specified feeding and eating disorder, pica and rumination disorder. Although the term eating is in the name, eating disorders are about more than food. They’re complex mental health conditions that often require the intervention of medical and psychological experts to alter their course.Join our conversation what you need to know – and what you can do – about eating disorders. Let's explore it together ❤️🙏🏼

In todays episode we have Rob from Netherlands where he grew up in a small village having difficulties with authorities. Then he started to develop what the doctors call an "Auto-Immune Disease" and he was told that he would not be able to get rid of the Chronic Ailment and had to take medicine for the rest of his life. He then went ahead, changed his diet and he says that his immune system fully functions now. After 2 month he already went without medicine and was free of symptoms. This experience created cracks in the matrix. There was an alternative way. He was very drawn to get to know more about the power of the mind and started looking into stoicism. He also speaks about meeting Wim Hoff, traveling with the Trans-Siberian Railway, his experience of living with monks, Vippasana, traveling to Mt. Kailash and visiting the Isha Yoga Center in India. I really enjoyed listening to his story and feel that anybody that listens to it will leave the podcast determined and inspired to look a little bit deeper within themselves.

In this Podcast we have Julius who was born and grew up in the Philippines and later in life came to the US.

In his words: Unknowingly, basketball was just a doorway to some level of realization for me because the intensity of sports, there is no way u can play a game without absolute involvement. It is through sports i first experience moments of meditation, where my mind and identity disappears, Or in others words, the sense of “me” dissolves for a moment, its through this experience i realize there is something bigger. When you're really truly devoted and involved, only then life can touch and penetrate u to the very core of who u are, otherwise, life will be superficial. Just a small clip from a long talk with @stevankospetin. From passion, spirituality, meditation, mind, yoga etc are some of the topics we talked about and how relevant it is regardless of what u do. If u think this is relevant or relatable to u, u should tune in.

She talks about the differences she noticed in ehr body and her mind once she started practicing both of them on a regular basis. Her longing continued to be very strong so she decided she needs to research more and was drawn to Sadhguru's videos. Glued to her screen she decided that she wanted to meet Sadhguru and be in his presence. That's when she did Inner Engineering and her journey to India started. She speaks about her experience of staying at the Ashram, being part of Sadhanapada, volunteering, making food choices based on Ayurveda and of the importance of Living Foods. She also speaks about the freedom she felt when discovering the origin of happiness lies within. The two of us happened to work at them same Department (Language/Translation) and due to her background we also talk about the similarities between Ancient Cultures.I hope you enjoy this episode! I really did 🙏🏻

In todays episode we have Sheetal from Bombay sharing her journey of Self-Transformation.

Sheetal and Me met at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, India. Both of us were part of the 7 month residential volunteering program: Sadhanapada. This episode is very raw and honest. She shares that being on the spiritual path is not always love and light and how she struggled going through the program with imprints and memories from her past as well as emotional ups and downs and much more. She realized that other's reflect her own insecurities and are often mirrors of her own state of consciousness. She burned out doing everything to be successful and liked by others. Eventhough she was doing something that she thought was good for herself: Fashion-stylist and teaching Yoga, she still burned out due to the amount of work she tried to manage without any balance. Balance in body and in the mind. This is her journey of being a Fashion-Stylist to becoming a Life-Stylist. Yoga as a way of being, as a way of living.

I hope you enjoy this episode! I really did 🙏🏻
