Have you ever heard, “what does it matter?” I am only…. Fill in the blank, a stay at home mom, an insurance agent, an event planner, an office custodian, an assistant, a waitress, a fast food drive through employee, a farmer, a lawn mower, a caretaker…. The list goes on and on. The world has gotten really good at making us believe that the things we do don't matter. IF we don’t have a degree, or if we didn’t get that promotion, or if we JUST stay at home with our kids, OR maybe you got the job-but it’s not as important as you thought it sounded on paper. We have ALL felt like what we did, didn’t matter at some point in our life. We have all said the words - “What’s does it matter”
**I will give you another scenario that I myself have personally experienced… “I don’t want just a job - that job isn’t that important. I don’t want to spend my days doing something so insignificant.” But friend, can I just tell you that maybe that VERY job is the one that God wants to put you in to sanctify you in a way that you wouldn’t be sanctified in otherwise. I know, I know that is really hard to picture, and it’s hard to accept. But, here’s the bottom line: the only way to get past that is to MAKE IT MATTER.
Friend, I want to take us on a journey together studying all the ways that we can “Make it Matter” and that may look different in each episode. We will walk through topics from depression to the happiest moments in life, to getting new jobs and losing jobs… to how to really love people - we are going to spend time with the Lord and each other and “Make it Matter.” Let’s get on FIRE FOR JESUS TOGETHER - LET'S MAKE IT MATTER! When we give Jesus our firsts in the morning, throughout the day, and at the end of the day, there is an overflow of Him, there is an aroma that flows in and through you. The world will see this and smell this fragrance of Him on you. They will see your joy and your peace that you are carrying around.
How do we practically do this? When you wake up, before your feet hit the floor… practice gratitude - “Thank you God, for waking me up, for the breath in my lungs.”

Hey Friends! We are back! Welcome back with me! I am so excited to walk through this shift with you as the Spirit leads me in it. The Lord has called me to shift “Entrusted By Him” to Jesus at the Centers and so here we are!
What is it all about? The Lord began to reveal SO much to me as I began my third postpartum journey…that I wasn’t really Jesus-Centered. I wasn’t leading a life in my home and in my church and in the lives of those around me that I was Jesus-Centered. Only SOME parts of my life was Jesus-Centered (I compartmentalized Jesus) and ultimately what that meant was that I wasn’t Jesus-Centered at all!
**You can do all the things, but if JESUS isn't at the center of it all, it isn't Jesus.

- We pray for the Holy Spirit to guide our minds so that we can pray in His name-
The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. -1 Peter 4:7
- We pray to be in communion with God - (think eternity on my eyeballs)
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” -Revelation 21:3-4
- There is power in the prayers for a righteous person - This just means a person who is following the Lord and has surrendered their life to Him.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. - James 5:16
- There is power in prayer as it builds your relationship with our Heavenly Father -
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7

Quinn Kelly is a wife, mother of four, blogger, speaker, podcaster and licensed marriage and family therapist that is committed to encouraging others in their relationships and life.
She originally graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism but after working for a year after college, she felt she had missed her real calling for helping people so she went back to school and received her master's degree in marriage and family therapy.
Shortly after beginning her therapy practice, Quinn started her blog called Sanctification and Spitup -- a place where she could combine her love of writing with her love of encouraging others all into one. This blog allowed her writing to be published on sites like Today Show’s Funniest Parents, Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, Family Share, Love What Matters and Mother and Baby Australia.
After beginning to speak and teach groups in the Houston Area, Quinn felt called to lead her own conference and thus began the Renew Faith Conference, which led to three conferences with over 900 combined women in attendance.
From those conferences, the Renew You Podcast was birthed -- a podcast created to encourage others to find renewal in their everyday life through therapy and faith in a fun, fresh and engaging way. Waiting on the Lord when he tells us to “Be Still” can be very challenging for us as we are naturally sinners and want to not be patient and gentle in the waiting.
We need to have the “Lord, Here I am, and I am quiet” attitude in the abiding of the Lord, because he is sovereign and ultimately the one in control. We need to have a Psalm 46:10 attitude. His eternal plan for the world and his children is SO RICH, that when we choose to not be patient in the due time, we tend to take matters in our own hands because we are in a rush to get what we want, we forget to slow down and see the entrustments in front of us that were supposed to be tended to along the way.
We were never called to hustle in the things God created us for, but we were called to obey in the things God created us for. He even calls us to wait in the gifts he places in our lives.

I really felt God calling me to talk on this topic from a different angle this week - cause here is the thing we can be called to be teachers or shepherds but we are also called to be students and I never want anyone listening to this podcast and think I have arrived … cause there's no way - no one has. Discernment is a Gift that we are entrusted with as christians.
What does “being entrusted” really mean? You are a manager of something God has gifted you with. SO, as a result of being a christian we have been given the gift of discerning God’s voice. How we retain the discernment and what we do with what has been discerned matters now and it matters for ETERNITY.
Hebrews 5:14
But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

Salvation in Christianity, or deliverance or redemption, is the "saving [of] human beings from death and separation from God" by Christ's death and resurrection.
In Acts 16:31 it says:
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
In Acts 4:12 it says:
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
So we see what a gift our salvation is, we talked about in the last episode the gift of the gospel….well the gospel is what led us to this gift of salvation. It can be put in simpler terms ….The bottom line is that Jesus did for us something that we could never do for ourselves. — “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
Something else we have to remember is because this was a gift given to us by God, it is now an opportunity for a relationship with him. To know him intimately. A relationship to grow, build, and receive the ability of discernment. How do we do this? How do we grow and build a relationship with the Lord? In practical terms, time, effort, an abiding attitude, submission, surrender, faith, ultimately trusting him, putting him OVER every single thing & person, studying his word is how you will get to know his character, his love for you, his will for you but not just for you but for the ultimate plan of His kingdom. Will you understand everything? NO, but you can in James he tells us we can ask for Wisdom for the glory of the Lord, not just for our own personal gain in knowledge. We are called to be women of God, and that means falling so in love with Him that we know his word inside and out. THAT IS NURTURING our salvation.

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL? - The word Gospel means “Good News”
The gospel is profound but simple. The Gospel is the telling of our brokenness (Genesis 3) through our sins and God’s goodness and mercy, and this gracious gift he gives through his only son, Jesus that results in an “in awe” response. We are saved by grace only through faith and that means rest in that and in the grave Jesus Christ showed us on the Cross when he was crucified for our sins so that we could have a relationship with God.
Ephesians 2:8-10 - who we are is this
Notes here - We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God - Romans 3:23 and for this the wages of our sin is death as it says in Romans 6:23
And so with the sin from the beginning and then the fall, God wanted to buy us back away from the death of sin and so he sent his ONLY son to live here on earth a perfect life to die for us on the cross for our sins to be fully written off. He paid the bill for us.
Jesus was tempted in every struggle like we are and he chose righteousness and chose holiness, he lived sinlessly. He was tempted but still chose to resist it all for the sake of us that we would have a relationship with God and a seat at the table of Eternal life in Heaven.
LET'S look at Ephesians 2:8-10 this is the gift of God of Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our salvation to be possible.

What does the Bible say about Stewardship?
According to scripture, God created Earth for mankind and we are now stewards of His creation. This means it is our responsibility to look after and take care of this world. We should accept this responsibility and appreciate God's gift of creation for being our home. Our stewardship of creation involves the caretaking of the environment and animals as well as our families and communities. Charles Bugg defines stewardship in the Holman Bible Dictionary as "Utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation."

1 CORINTHIANS 4:1-5
This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. 2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. 3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 4 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
NOTES - We are called to stewardship - everything FROM God, we are called to steward faithfully. FAITHFULLY - that means we are instructed to take this seriously - He also says we are not to compare each other in these entrustments, not to judge in our stewardship … Comparisons in these matters are pointless. So Maybe your conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove we are right. It is the Lord himself who will examine us and decide. we are called to not make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. Because HE is the only one who can say “Well Done”

The LORD has called us to steward the things well that he has deposited in our lives. This is EVERY good deposit God has put in your life. That is what you are entrusted with. So my hope is that we steward it well for His Glory, not for your own performance level. God isn't after our performance, but he gives us wisdom when we seek him to be entrusted well.SOME VERSES THAT SHOW US WE ARE ENTRUSTED WITH PRECIOUS GIFTS BY GOD -

- 13 Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 14 By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.

- The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. - He gave work as a gift and called man to take care of it - that is an ENTRUSTMENT

2018 was one of the hardest years of my life and I am so thankful to get to pour it all out right here on this podcast to show everyone how GOOD God is ALL THE TIME, through it all!
He is with us through it all all the time.

I can't believe how God has used this story already and I can't wait to see all the people he touches in the future with it. I know his plan is good and I just want that for your life too.
Depression & Anxiety are some of Satan's best friends, and we don't need them or want them hanging around, so I encourage you to seek wise counsel just like God calls us to in Proverbs.
Proverbs 11:14 says:
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
There is Hope in Jesus sister, seek him.
You guys, this episode was a little difficult to get through, but I pray it encourages someone and it leaves you learning more about the Character of our amazing and loving God.

The Entrusted by him podcast has been in the making (in my heart) for a long time! But I was committed to obeying God's timing and had NO IDEA what this "podcast" God called me to was going to be about. Fast forward almost 5 years later, I see.
This is a podcast out of obedience and I am so thankful to share who God is through my tiny little puzzle piece of his infinite puzzled out plan.
So here is the Entrusted By Him podcast's very first episode, and I couldn't jump into this podcast without shining light and all the glory on who he is and how he has changed who I was to who I am now. It's all because of him. The great and mighty, powerful LORD.
I hope this podcast encourages you and points you back to Christ every time. After all its not about us, it is about him and it always has been. Our entrustments are straight from him, they are GOOD DEPOSITS so lets stand and steward them all well sisters.
