Niki Olsen is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist and coach who uses mental health skills and a spiritual perspective to reduce anxiety, overwhelm and guilt in women by enriching their connection to themselves and God. The Meaningful Minutes podcast aims to help busy Latter-day Saint women learn simple actionable tools to feel more confident in their efforts toward spiritual growth, more inspired and closer to the spirit in 10 minutes or less.
Fear doesn't always look like fear. Sometimes it looks like overthinking the same decision for the hundredth time, researching something to death or praying about it again hoping it will finally feel different. Most people don't even realize fear is what's happening. They just feel stuck, and start wondering if something's wrong with them for not having peace yet.
This week I'm walking through a simple skill for making decisions when fear is in the driver's seat: name it, separate it, choose anyway. There's a free companion worksheet linked below, use it right alongside the episode.

You've spent your whole life quietly wondering why some things feel so much harder for you than they seem to for everyone else. Scripture study won't stick. Prayers get lost in fifty other thoughts. You forget things you swore you'd remember, and the shame shows up before you even understand what happened.
This week, therapist Brittney King, LPC joins Niki to talk about what ADHD actually looks like in adults, and why it usually has nothing to do with how hard you're trying. There's a reason your brain works this way, and it's more treatable than you think.

How do you know when a family relationship needs stronger boundaries, more distance or possibly no contact? When family relationships are tied to faith, loyalty, traditions, and belonging, it can be hard to separate Christlike love from the pressure to keep everyone comfortable.
In this first LDS Therapy Insights episode, I am explaining how to look for repeated unhealthy patterns, why a difficult relationship is not automatically a toxic one and the many levels of boundaries available before full cutoff. You’ll also learn why forgiveness does not require unlimited access and how to seek personal revelation from a place of clarity instead of guilt.

If you've been praying and the answer is just...silence, you're not alone. A lot of LDS women are doing everything right on the outside but quietly feeling disconnected from God. And the hardest part? They feel guilty even admitting it. Like maybe if they had more faith, they'd feel something.
In this episode, Niki talks about the real reasons prayer can start to feel difficult and why that disconnect has way less to do with worthiness than most people think.
Plus: Niki's new 10-day prayer practice to help you start reconnecting through simple, intentional moments.

Have you ever prayed, gone to the temple, or begged Heavenly Father for help and felt absolutely nothing? No peace, no comfort, no emotional reassurance. And then immediately wondered what's wrong with you spiritually? In LDS culture we talk a lot about "feeling the Spirit" and those experiences are real. But many of us have accidentally started believing that emotional feelings are the only evidence the Spirit is present.
In this episode, Niki unpacks the many ways the Spirit actually works, especially for women who are emotionally overwhelmed, numb, burned out, or grieving. Grab the free companion reflection guide linked below to use alongside this episode.

Some experiences just stick. No matter how much time passes, or how hard you try to move on, they keep showing up in how you feel about yourself, your relationships, even your ability to hear God. And the frustrating part? You can't just decide to be over it.
In this episode, Niki sits down with therapist Allie Allen LCMHC to unpack why painful memories get stored wrong, how anxiety makes it nearly impossible to tell the difference between worry and a prompting, and the therapy tool that has people saying, "It doesn't bother me anymore."

You wake up already feeling behind. There are a hundred things in your head, you're trying to be present, you're trying to pray, and your thoughts are still louder than everything else. You're not failing. Your mind is overwhelmed, and when your mind is overwhelmed everything feels harder. There are specific patterns that show up when you get to this place, and once you can see them, you stop fighting yourself all day long.
In this episode, Niki walks through the 4 mental health skills that change everything when your mind feels chaotic. The third skill she teaches is the one most LDS women have been quietly battling for years and didn't realize they could interrupt.

You love God. You want to feel Him. But your mind is loud, life feels heavy, and you feel stuck in your own head. If that's you, please hear me. That doesn't mean you're failing spiritually. It doesn't mean God left. It means you're human.
This week I'm walking through why the still small voice gets so quiet when your nervous system is overloaded, the four "noise voices" that drown it out. You haven't drifted. You're buried under noise. There's a difference.

As an LDS therapist, one of the most common things I hear from women is, "I feel torn inside."
There' is a part of you that wants to be calm and faithful, and another part that's anxious, or exhausted, or just done. Both can be true on the same day. That's not hypocrisy. That's being human.
In this episode, I sit down with JoAnna Bethea, an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor and the very first therapist to join me at Aligned Counseling. JoAnna walks us through Internal Family Systems, the modality she uses with her clients, and shows how it weaves beautifully with the gospel and with the Mind Body Bridging work I already teach.
She shares her own story of a four day anxiety attack the week her youngest son finished his last high school sport, and how that hard season led her into the most freeing work she's ever done.
If you've ever felt torn in two, this one is for you.

She specializes in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and weaves it together with Mind Body Bridging and the gospel of Jesus Christ to help LDS women heal from anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, and the quiet identity loss that often shows up in motherhood and empty nesting. She is also the heart behind a brand new Instagram account, Teaching Them To Fly, for moms walking their kids (and themselves) into the next chapter.
If you're in Utah and what JoAnna shared today felt like a light bulb moment for you, she's currently taking new clients at Aligned Counseling Utah.

Ever feel like disappointing someone is basically the worst thing that could happen? Like your whole body goes on high alert the second you sense someone might be upset with you?
That's not just anxiety. It might be rejection sensitivity dysphoria, and in this episode, ADHD and executive function coach Kelly Dyches breaks it all down in a way that finally makes sense.
We talk about why fear of letting people down can feel so physical and so urgent, how it quietly blocks your ability to hear the Spirit, and what small steps actually help when your brain is filling in blanks with worst-case stories.

You can feel it the second someone’s mood shifts.
The tension. The urgency. The need to fix it… fast.
And before you even think about it, you’re carrying something that was never yours to hold.
In this conversation with Dr. Amanda Harms, we get honest about what’s really happening when you feel responsible for everyone’s emotions. Why it feels so real. Why it’s so exhausting. And the small shift that starts to change everything.
You’re not broken. You just learned a pattern that doesn’t fit your life anymore.

In this episode, I sit down with Talmage Erickson from Screen Guys to talk about the impact of kids using cell phones and what's actually happening inside their brains when they're on screens… and what we can do about it without going extreme or losing connection.
We get honest about the all-or-nothing trap parents fall into, why screens are regulating emotions more than we realize, and how to respond when things get really hard… including discovering pornography use.
This isn’t about control.
It’s about connection, awareness, and leading your home on purpose.
You're not too late! Your kids don’t need perfect rules. They need a regulated parent who knows how to stay close when things get uncomfortable.

You’re trying.
You’re praying.
You’re doing all the “right” things.
So why do you still feel stuck?!
If your mind feels loud, your emotions feel heavy, and your connection with God feels quiet, this episode is going to challenge what you’ve been believing about your mental health.
Not everything your brain tells you is truth.
Not everything you feel means you’re failing.
And what if the thing you’ve been blaming yourself for is actually the place your healing starts?
In this episode, I’m sharing 5 truths that might feel uncomfortable at first… but they’ll help you stop fighting yourself and start understanding what’s really going on.

When trust breaks like this… it touches everything. How safe you feel. How you see yourself. Even how you hear God.
In this week's episode, I sit down with therapist David Dodini who works in this space every day. And we talk about what’s actually going on beneath the surface.
Not the shame.
Not the assumptions.
The real reasons this pattern sticks… and why so many women end up carrying responsibility that was never theirs.
We talk about betrayal, what your reaction means (and what it doesn’t), and how to move forward without losing yourself in the process.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Is this my fault?”… start here.
You are not the cause of his struggle. And you are not the solution either.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t leaving.
It’s realizing something is wrong in the first place.
You just feel… off. Confused. Second-guessing yourself. Walking on eggshells and calling it “being patient.”

Some pain doesn’t feel forgivable.
Not because you don’t want peace… but because it feels unfair to let it go.
In this Sister Connection episode, two women share what it actually looks like to wrestle with forgiveness when the hurt runs deep.
One is navigating forgiveness after years of abuse from her mother.
The other is grieving the loss of her 17-year-old daughter from a preventable accident.
This isn’t surface-level “just forgive and move on.”
This is about what happens when anger, grief, faith, and healing all collide.
One takeaway:
Forgiveness isn’t about excusing what happened. It’s about choosing what you carry forward… and what you finally set down.

Forgiveness gets talked about a lot.
But for many women, it feels like pressure. Like you’re supposed to “move on” from something that still hurts… or make peace with something that never felt okay in the first place.
In this episode, we’re clearing that up.
You’ll learn what forgiveness actually is… what it is not… and how to begin releasing the weight of resentment without minimizing your pain or removing wise boundaries.
Because healing doesn’t come from pretending it didn’t hurt.
It comes from finally giving your heart permission to stop carrying it alone.
There’s also a free worksheet linked for you to process this at your own pace.
If this topic has ever felt confusing, heavy, or impossible… come take a listen!

There’s a moment many women don’t see coming.
The house gets quieter.
The kids grow up.
Roles begin to shift.
And suddenly you find yourself wondering:
Who am I now?
For years you’ve poured your heart into motherhood, marriage, family, and service. And while those things matter deeply, they can quietly become the only place your identity lives.
So when life transitions happen, it can feel disorienting. Lonely. Even a little scary.
In this episode, psychologist Dr. Christy Kane and I talk about what it looks like to rediscover yourself during seasons of change.
We talk about the emotions many women experience but rarely say out loud. The quiet grief. The anxiety. The sense of losing yourself.
But we also talk about something hopeful.
Rebuilding identity.
Protecting yourself.
And learning how to create purpose again without abandoning the faith and values that matter most.
If you’re in a season of change or can feel one coming, this conversation might be exactly what your heart needs.

Some grief doesn’t have a clear place to go.
Infertility can quietly unravel so many things at once. Your plans. Your faith. Your sense of identity. Even the way you see God.
In this deeply honest conversation, I sit down with the women behind this Sister Connection episode to talk about the layered reality of infertility. The kind that includes miscarriages, stillbirth, unanswered prayers, and long seasons of wondering where God is in all of it.
If you’ve ever wrestled with God, felt forgotten, or wondered if your story still has purpose… this episode is for you.
Your worth was never dependent on becoming a mother.
And your story isn’t over.

Some losses split life into a before and after. And no one hands you a map for the after.
In this deeply tender conversation, Lawrence and Melissa Stone share what it actually looks like to grieve the loss of children while trying to stay married, stay faithful, and stay human. Not the polished version. The real one. Silence. Anger. Distance. Small moments of connection. Starting over more than once.
They talk honestly about how differently grief can show up inside the same home, why couples often drift apart without meaning to, and what helped them protect their relationship in the middle of unimaginable pain.
If you’ve experienced loss, love someone who has, or carry fears about what you would do if life shattered, this episode offers gentle companionship and grounded hope. Not quick fixes. Not platitudes. Just people who have walked through fire and are willing to sit beside you.

Some wounds don’t just hurt. They change how you see God, yourself, and everyone else.
In this conversation, Elisha Harris shares how unresolved trauma can keep you stuck in survival mode even while you’re trying to do all the “right” things spiritually. We talk about the emotional armor many women carry, why staying busy can feel safer than being honest, and how healing through the Savior is less about performing and more about surrender.
If you’ve ever felt disconnected, numb, ashamed, or like you’re trying so hard but still not feeling peace, this episode will meet you there. Not with pressure. With hope.

When you’re the one everyone depends on, it can feel like there’s no space left for you to fall apart. This episode is for the quiet kind of exhaustion that comes from loving people through hard things while trying to hold your own life together.
Niki answers listener questions about caring for a medically fragile child without losing your marriage, supporting a teen who speaks harshly about themselves, walking beside a spouse with depression, and coping with the heartbreak of an adult child creating distance.
Instead of quick fixes, this episode offers small ways to stay connected when life feels heavy. Gentle ways to respond when words hurt. Compassion that doesn’t require you to abandon your boundaries. And hope that even when relationships shift or strain, healing and direction are still possible.
If you’re tired, stretched thin, or quietly grieving something no one else fully sees, this episode will remind you that you are not alone, not broken, and not without support.

Some days, advocating for your child feels like a full-time job you never applied for.
In this episode, Niki sits down with Esperanza Reyes from the Utah Parent Center to talk about what it actually looks like to support a child with disabilities inside the school system without burning out, shutting down, or feeling like you’re constantly fighting uphill.
This conversation is about collaboration instead of conflict. Progress instead of perfection. And learning how to hold high expectations for your child while still honoring where they are right now.
You’ll hear why you don’t have to do this alone, how to partner with schools more effectively, and where to find real support when the system feels overwhelming.
If school meetings leave you drained or unsure if you’re doing enough, this episode is for you!

Blended families don’t usually struggle because people don’t care.
They struggle because love feels complicated, loyalty feels divided, and everyone is carrying history into the room.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Why is this so hard?” this episode will help you feel less alone.
Today I sit down with three women who know this life personally. Amanda, Dondra, and Ruth share what it really looks like to build connection in blended families when emotions are messy, timelines don’t match, and expectations clash.
It isn’t about doing things perfectly. It’s about staying when it would be easier to pull away. Learning how to show up with patience when progress feels slow. And creating a home where love grows over time, not overnight.

Helping youth with mental health can feel scary. What if you say the wrong thing. What if you make it worse. What if you don't know enough.
You do not need perfect words or professional training to make a difference. You need presence. Empathy. And a willingness to listen instead of fix.
Listen in to learn what actually helps struggling youth feel safe and supported, what well-meaning phrases can quietly cause harm, and how to normalize real support without shame. We also cover when it is time to involve professional help and why taking mental health seriously is an act of faith, not a failure of it.
If you care about youth and want to show up better, this episode is for you.

Ever feel overwhelmed and just wonder why you can’t get it together?
In this Ask A Therapist episode, Niki and Julie talk honestly about what overwhelm actually looks like in real life. Not the Instagram version. The real version.
Things like, why anxiety sometimes shows up without a clear reason, why “trying harder” usually backfires, and how small changes can bring real relief. Niki also shares a little of her story of joining the church at 19 and how that has given her a huge perspective on mental health.
So come listen in. Check your body before blaming your faith. And stop thinking you need a full life overhaul to feel better.

Have you ever noticed that when life feels the loudest, God can feel the quietest?
If you’ve been feeling spiritually disconnected lately, this episode is for you.
Hearing the Spirit can feel harder in busy, emotionally heavy seasons. Constant noise, pressure, comparison, and even well-meaning spiritual checklists can actually make connection feel more distant. But that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong!
This episode is about creating space instead of adding more effort. About calming your mind and body so clarity has room to return. And about learning to trust that God isn’t withholding guidance. You might just need a little more stillness to hear it.
If you’re tired of feeling like you’re missing something spiritually, or wondering why connection feels harder than it used to, press play. You’re not alone, and there is a way forward that doesn’t involve more pressure.

In this episode, we’re joined by divorce attorney Adam Huddleston for a conversation about navigating divorce from both a legal and spiritual perspective. Divorce is complex, and no two stories are the same, but there is room for both peace and progress in the middle of the mess.
We talk about what it looks like to “think celestial” even while walking through heartbreak, how to give yourself time to feel and heal, and why co-parenting sometimes needs to shift into parallel parenting for the sake of everyone’s well-being. The Lord does not forget us! Even when life doesn’t turn out how we hoped.
If you’re in the thick of it or supporting someone who is, this episode is full of great insight. There’s hope ahead, even if it feels far away right now.

What do you do when a tough gospel question hits you out of nowhere?
Do you push it down? Avoid it? Try to fix it?
This week on the podcast, I sat down with Jasmin Rappleye to talk about the questions we don’t always know how to answer about Church history, doctrine, or simply the lived experience of being a member.
And it’s okay, truly okay, to not have it all figured out.
Jasmin has created such a thoughtful space online for asking the hard things without losing sight of truth. This conversation will encourage you, whether you’re the one wrestling, or you’re walking with someone who is.

In a world that pushes women to “bounce back” after birth, what if we chose to sit still instead?
In this episode, I’m joined by Emily Montague to explore the ancient practice of “the sitting month” a sacred time of rest, nourishment, and gentle recovery after childbirth.
We talk about why postpartum recovery deserves more than a quick shower and a pat on the back. You’ll hear about practical ways to honor what your body has done, give it space to heal, and reclaim your right to rest—without guilt.
If you’ve ever felt pressure to “get back to normal” too fast, this is your reminder:
You don’t have to bounce back!

There’s a version of motherhood we all picture before it begins, but for many women, the reality includes something far heavier: postpartum depression.
In this honest and vulnerable episode, I sit down with women who’ve walked through PPD and are bravely sharing what it really felt like, how they got help, and what they wish someone had told them.
If this is part of your story or someone you love’s, please listen.
And if no one has told you lately: you're doing better than you think.

Motherhood has a way of bringing out both our fiercest love and our deepest fears. In this episode, I talk with Britney King about the real and raw mental weight that comes with parenting, especially when our thoughts start to spiral, when we feel disconnected, or when we’re just plain tired.
On this episode, my guest Brittney King and I explore how easy it is to fall into patterns of self-judgment or isolation, and how healing it can be to open up to support, connection, and faith again.

We are coming up on one of the most miraculous times in history, the birth of the Savior. Which made me think about miracles in our own lives and how to BECOME A SEEKER of miracles.
One thing I thought about miracles for a long time was that they just happen to you. That there is no work involved and really it took some sort of luck or something to obtain. But after President Nelson’s talk in April 2022 called the Power of Spiritual Momentum, I started thinking about them differently.
In this episode I am sharing 3 specific things you can do to actively SEEK miracles in your life. As you listen the episode ponder on a specific miracle you are needing right now in your life.

The holiday season can sometimes feel like a “setback” in the grief experience. It can bring up many memories of the past, thoughts about the loss of what could have been, and a lot of expectations that you may not have the capacity to deal with. But that doesn’t mean it is a setback in your journey of grief.
It is actually just a different place in the journey. The holidays in general come with stress but adding grief into the mix can bring unimaginable stress if you aren’t prepared with some strategies.
In this episode I am sharing some of those strategies with you and how they can help you more fully enjoy the holiday season as you continue on your grief journey.

Has everything in your life turned out the way you hoped it would? I would bet not. Life is full of twists and turns for all of us. Sometimes those twists and turns can bring us a lot of heartache and pain.
Such is true for Amber Jackson. With the birth of her son who was born with down syndrome, an unexpected divorce, and then death of her second husband her life is completely different than anything she ever expected or dreamed of. That doesn’t mean she hasn’t found joy though.
Throughout her journey of unexpected twists and turns in her life she has learned to connect with the Savior to bring joy in her life regardless of her circumstances. Listen in as she shares her story, how she found joy, and how you can too.

There is a ton of research that says waking up early is good for your health. In fact, a lot of the research says that if you can wake up and get the morning sunlight exposure it will help you regulate your sleep-wake cycle. This helps your body get in a rhythm of healthy sleep patterns. This morning sunlight has been proven to strengthen your immune system, reduce stress and support your mental health.
I’m sure you have heard that quote from Benjamin Franklin that says, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise?” So the new research is just a confirmation of what people have known for years.
I too am a firm believer in being a morning person. But I haven’t always been. In fact, it was a years-long journey to become one myself but it has benefited my life in many ways. So this week I am sharing 3 things that I did to become a morning person.

Control is a funny thing and one I see so many women cling to when life feels chaotic or funny enough when life is out of control. When things feel out of control in your life the response is often to cling tighter to controlling that thing. To maneuver it in a way that lessens anxiety.
The funny thing is the more you try to control, the more the anxiety will increase. In this episode I am teaching you three ways you can actually let go of control AND lessen your anxiety in the process.

You may not know this, but I have a full time job working as a therapist on the Navajo Reservation. As part of this job, I consult with a Navajo traditional counselor frequently. In order to help create healing with not only western medicine, our behavioral health department also creates traditional healing with Navajo healers who perform ceremonies, teachings and specific prayers.
Our traditional healer, Ernest Begay, has taught me so much about the Navajo teachings and every time I am so blown away at how closely they fit with the teachings of the gospel. One teaching that he is always pressing upon us as therapists is the concept of arrows being shot at us due to the nature of what we take on everyday.
Join me today as I relate these traditional teachings to how you can avoid the onslaught of arrows in your life.

I know just how powerful the words of God can be in my life and I want you to feel that too if you are on the struggle bus when it comes to scripture study. A lot of women get caught up in the idea of what scripture study is “supposed to look like.” I have too!
This can be overwhelming and make it feel like it’s not worth the effort. Truth is, scripture study can be very beneficial to your mental health. So this week I am doing a Try this…skip that scripture study episode to help you find simple and effective ways to improve your personal scripture study.

As a mental health therapist and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I care deeply about the mental health of full time missionaries. Being a missionary is an incredible experience that also involves trials and tribulations. Especially when it comes to mental health.
In this episode I am joined by Hadley Dunn who recently returned home from her mission. She has struggled with anxiety for many years and being a missionary exacerbated her symptoms. Listen in as she shares her journey of learning to trust God, have compassion for herself, and how imperative the support of her family and ward members really was.

I have been spending the month focusing on fortifying your mental health by looking at ways you might be sabotaging it. Now this is part 3 of 3 in a series. So if you haven’t already, check out part 1 and 2 from the last two week’s episodes.
In the last two episodes, I have covered 6 of the 7 common sabotagers that women are doing to their mental health that aren’t helpful. I split them all up into 3 different episodes in order to give each one the time it deserves. Today I am going to outline one giant concept that might sabotage your mental health.
This particular sabotager of your mental health has to do with relationships. I am calling this sabotager, codependent behaviors. Listen in as I share what exactly that means and how to avoid it.

Women who come to me often don’t realize that even though they may be facing opposition they can actually have peace in their life regardless. They just need the right tools to take them from being a doer of the gospel instead of a receiver.
When they learn how to do that, everything changes for them.
So in this episode I am going to cover what it is like when you AREN’T being influenced by the natural man. What does it take to not be influenced by the natural man and what are you able to do once you are there. I’ve coined the term Divine Receiver as the state you are in when you are not being influenced by the natural man. But before I dive into what it takes to become a divine receiver, I want to outline a couple things about being in the natural man doer state.

As Courtney started her business venture she felt that something was missing in her plan. She had the skill set, the mindset, and an idea but wasn't sure how to meld them all together.
When she felt prompted to join the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program she signed up and hoped it would help her. She had been a long-time follower of Niki Olsen Coaching and decided to put it to the test. Listen in as she shares how the tools she learned in the program gave her exactly what she needed.
I think it’s safe to assume that you have some unpeaceful things going on in your life right now correct? That’s because there is no shortage of unpeaceful things in the world today.
As a therapist, and seeing patients who are experiencing most often some of the more difficult times of their lives, I have noticed a theme of what women are doing that isn’t allowing them to access peace in the unpeaceful.
That’s exactly what I am discussing in this episode. What is holding women back from feeling peace in their life and what they can do invite peace regardless of their situation.

Every time I’m at church and someone makes the comment “never pray for patience” I get a little more sad on the inside. Well not really, but it does make me think they must not truly understand what they are missing by having that thought process.
Now it’s not just the act of not praying for patience that I am concerned about for people who believe this. It is what that belief represents in their lives that can create more problems.
So I want to discuss with you today 3 underlying beliefs that may be holding you back from praying for patience and ultimately gaining the growth and progress your Heavenly Parents want for you.

Emma has struggled the majority of her life with body dysmorphia and eating disorders. She tried different types of therapeutic modalities to help her heal and live a more full life. What she needed was mental health tools through a spiritual lens. The Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program was exactly what she needed.
When she joined the group coaching and began implementing the tools she learned in the coaching program she finally began to see her worth as a daughter of God and woman on earth with a great purpose. Listen in as she shares what that realization means to her.
As a mental health therapist, people usually come and see me because they are experiencing a trial. Each time I can usually pin it down to one or all of 3 things that people are doing to make their trials worse.
Even the scriptures are littered with examples of people who made their trials worse right? I bet you can look at other people and think, man they really are making that worse for themselves. And to be honest, you yourself have probably made some of your trials worse. I know I have. That is why I am sharing 3 things that you might be doing to make your trials worse.

Stefanie is someone who loves to learn new skills. Having watched the podcast multiple times she knew she wanted to learn the mental health tools I teach in the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program.
She joined the group because she was seeking help in connecting with Christ. She wanted to remove the mental roadblocks or self-doubt and worry so she could better understand her role as a wife and stepmom. The program taught her to trust that God is watching over His children and He knows exactly what needs to be done.
Raise your hand if you are stress free? I can’t see you but my guess is that you didn’t raise your hand. You know how I know that? Because most women I talk to these days are stressed out about one thing or another. It seems there is always something in our lives we can look at and be stressed about. There really isn’t a shortage of things women can stress about.
Long-term stress can lead to serious health problems. Women are also more likely to have mental health conditions that are made worse by stress, such as depression or anxiety. This is why addressing our stress is imperative!
So let’s address it! In this episode I am sharing 3 ways you can sink your stress spiritually using mental health tools through a spiritual lens.

Moms are BUSY and Anna is no exception. Before the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program, she was overwhelmed with too much to do and plagued with guilt if she took time for herself.
Exhaustion and stress made it difficult for her to hear the spirit and feel comforted with the difficult situations she faced. The program helped her find peace in the chaos, prioritize her responsibilities, and feel God's assurance and love.
You know the number one thing that causes decision fatigue in your life? Not knowing if you’re having a thought or a prompting. I see so many women making one very big mistake in this regard. They start thinking that every good thought is the spirit telling them it’s a prompting. So then they start acting in the name of Christ to help everyone else to the point of exhaustion because helping someone else is a good thought right?
Sure, HOWEVER, when they do this they often end up making poor decisions which involve the care of their own mind and body because they sacrificed all their decision making ability and energy on others throughout the day.
That is exhausting! Have you ever been there? Then this episode is for you. Join me as I discuss what the root cause of all that decision fatigue really is and how you can move forward with clarity in your decision making.

Lee Ann is a wife and mom who owns a wedding floral business, and also works with me as my media manager. She has always felt anxious in specific situations but motherhood took her anxiety to a whole new level. Allowing her children to leave each day became debilitating when she quit her job and had more time at home alone.
Listen in as she shares how the tools she learned in the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching program helped her find more peace of mind, courage in the unknown, and the ability to calm herself even when her anxiety deemed otherwise.
A few months before Emily began the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching she was given a mental health diagnosis that left her in an identity crisis. She struggled to distinguish her own thoughts from spiritual promptings and was unable to trust herself.
As always she turned to a spiritual routine but felt it was nothing more than "just going through the motions." As she learned to implement the skills she learned in the group coaching program was able to more fully hear the spirit, connect with the Savior, and find confidence in herself and what she has to offer others.
Each time I talk to women who are struggling in some way with their spiritual habits I have found it’s at least one of three things. What I mean by spiritual habits, is things like reading your scriptures, saying your prayers or going to the temple.
Yes, there are many more spiritual habits than those but in this episode I want to show you three things that are destroying those specific spiritual habits. This will help illustrate what I am talking about.
So listen in as I compare and contrast situations to show you what it looks and sounds like when these three things are present in your life and when they aren’t. I also have a solution to help you manage it all.

Like many women, Krystal has struggled to calm her thoughts of self-doubt and the idea that she needed to be perfect in all areas of her life. She strived for that perfection by always being busy and doing more. This only lead to more overwhelm, more chaos, more stress.
As she began implementing what she learned in the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program she learned the actual source of her self-doubt and how to find peace even when she wasn't able to be "perfect."
Perfection is a topic I teach women about almost daily and is one of the most misunderstood terms in the gospel. Women often think the term perfect when used in the scriptures means to be without mistake.
This then leads to them searching to crack the code of never making a mistake in order to live up to what God wants them to do. This thought process of trying to be without mistakes and show up perfectly or don’t show up at all leads to a lot of stress, overwhelm, hurt and heartache.
Eventually feeling like you will never be good enough. This is NOT what God wants you to feel and certainly not what he meant when He said, “Be ye therefore perfect”. Imperfection is a part of our earthly experience.
So what do the scriptures mean by “perfect?” This is exactly what this episode is about. Here are 3 ways to be perfect, according to scripture.

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between having a coach or a therapist? I get this question a lot since I am actually both. Women are often asking me which they would benefit from each and what the differences are.
I decided to do an episode on the LDS Mental Health Podcast because there is a lot more to it than a quick Instagram Dm response can hold. So today you will hear some of the differences, similarities, and something you maybe haven’t even thought about when considering between the two.

On this BONUS Episode, I sit down with Emmalee Thompson. She participated in the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program just before she had her last child. She resides in Utah with her husband Julian. She and her husband own and run a restaurant while raising their six kids.
Before the program, Emmalee felt "disconnected" from her kids, her husband, and ever herself. She had previously tried therapy and coaching programs but was seeking a program that combined her mental health and her spiritual health into one.
Listen in as she shares how the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation program helped her manage emotions with difficult familial relationships, face trials with faith instead of fear, and implemented what she learned in her parenting.
Women are really OVERWHELMED! There are many reasons why as I worked with women and really listened to them I have noticed 3 main reasons why. You want to know what helps? Using mental health skills to connect with Christ.
This is why I have felt prompted to change the name and focus of the podcast. Now this is THE LDS MENTAL HEALTH PODCAST and a place for women who want to THINK IN A HIGHER AND HOLIER WAY.
Listen to this episode to learn what those 3 main reasons are for your overwhelm and you can learn mental health skills to connect more with Christ and calm that overwhelm to actually LIVE in a higher and holier way.

In this BONUS EPISODE, Brianna shares her experience of taking the Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coaching Program.
Brianna is a creative woman who lives in Arizona with her husband, enjoys all things church, and is the mom of 4 autistic children. As you can imagine she is busy woman! She has lived in chaos for many years and really struggled to know if she was feeling the spirit. Her depression and anxiety enhanced those doubts so she went searching for a relationship with the Savior.
She found the group coaching program and as she implemented the Mind Body Bridging skills she learned how to keep herself calm even in the midst of difficult times for her children. She learned how to be a divine receiver no matter the situation.
This week’s topic is an often taboo subject in the church and around the world. But it is one that is near and dear to my heart. About 6 years ago, I had my first loss to suicide that was close to me. My coworker died by suicide and it was a devastating situation all around. Since that time, due to the location of where I work, suicide intervention has become a daily part of my work.
I have taken on work in my community to decrease the loss to suicide by becoming an intervention trainer where I teach classes to others on how to help and intervene. I also run our counties suicide prevention coalition. I am passionate about this subject and couldn’t miss the opportunity to bring awareness to the subject this month as I am addressing mental health through the lens of the gospel.

In my therapy practice and in my coaching business, I use a modality called mind body bridging. One of the things I love about teaching the skills from this modality is how seamlessly it translates into gospel terms. So today I want to show you how I use the terms in this modality to explain symptoms of depression and anxiety and look at them through the lens of the gospel.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND AS YOU LISTEN: As we dive into specific diagnosis and talking about them, this is not considered therapy and is just informational. If you feel like you need help and support with anything I talk about in these episodes please reach out and get the support and help you need.

Ever since President Nelson urged members to “stretch beyond your current spiritual ability to receive personal revelation” I have felt a desire to do just that.
At first I wasn’t sure how I could stretch any further as I was already consistent with my prayers and scripture study. But I knew I was missing something and wanted to go beyond my “spiritual ability to receive revelation.”
So I started trying new things. I went on a journey to to change the way I asked, the way I thanked, and the way I received.
This experience brought about not only changes in my life, but I learned how to help others learn to stretch as receive personal revelation for their lives.
Let me share with you how it all works and how to do this for yourself.

Revelation Meditations are not your typical meditations that relax you to fall asleep, or clear your mind of thoughts. Truth is, I can debunk that idea!
When it comes to personal revelation you don't want to clear your mind of thoughts, you want to have CLARITY in your THOUGHTS! Finding that clarity will help you be able to find connection, knowledge, and understanding of what it is that God is saying to you.
Does that sound great to you? Then listen in because the idea that your mind needs to be cleared is just one of the revelation meditation myths that I am debunking today on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast.

If you’re like most women, before they start working with me, then you probably feel overwhelmed, exhausted...and wondering how long you can endure physically, mentally and spiritually, am I right?
Women often think that in order to feel peace in their thoughts, have confidence in their decisions, and get more done they need to come up with a big plan to do more and execute it perfectly.
The truth is, the real culprit is the natural man.
The natural man is a part of this life. He lies to us about our capabilities, our strengths, and about our divine worth. It can be hard to combat those thoughts and doubts.
The good news? Meditation can help you do that.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I am sharing how meditation can help you combat the natural man so that you can see your worth, feel more confident, and accomplish more in your daily life.

As most of you have seen, I spent almost 5 days in the hospital at the end of February. It started with a gut ache that quickly turned into severe pain and I ended up in the emergency room.
I had a lot of still time on my hands as a crippling headache required that I keep the room quiet. Luckily I had been spending a lot of time meditating prior to my hospital stay so I was unexpectedly prepared.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I will give you a little recap of my crazy stay, the back and forth that my body went through, and how meditation was a saving grace while I was there.

If you have been listening to these podcasts for long you would catch that I am a big advocate of pondering your prayers before you even begin to say them.
In past episodes, I have talked a lot about the benefits of pondering your prayers but today I want to focus on how that can also achieve your goal of learning how to meditate.
President David O. McKay was a big proponent of meditation and he said
“Meditation is the language of the soul. It is defined as ‘a form of private devotion, or spiritual exercise, consisting in deep, continued reflection on some religious theme.’ Meditation is a form of prayer.”
In this episode I dive into how you can make meditation a part of your prayer to help you receive more in those moments, gain strength beyond your own, accomplish more, and find clarity in the chaos of life.

Have you heard our prophet and apostles talking about the need for daily repentance and thought, what do I need to repent for on a daily basis?
It’s common to think that because when we hear the word repentance a lot of people immediately think of deep guilt for a “big” sin.
Which can be the case, but it’s so much more than that!
President Nelson taught, “Repentance is not an event; it is a process. It is the key to happiness and peace of mind,”
Repentance is about moving on from something, making a change, and clearing our minds.
On this week’s episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I discuss how meditation can be a guide to daily repentance and turn “the key to happiness and peace of mind.”

If you have been around here listening to the Meaningful Minutes Podcast for a while, you have probably heard me talk about the natural man many a times
And the reason for that is because I don’t think women realize how much the natural man is the culprit for a good portion of their problems and stress
So this week on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I thought it would be good to talk about how the natural man affects your mental health so you can learn tools to decrease the stress and problems that the natural man is creating in your life.

President Nelson said, has often emphasized the phrase, “hear Him.” On many occasions the prophet has spoken of the importance of hearing the Savior in our lives.
But it’s not always that easy to do. Life is chaotic and hardships feel unending. We can learn to do it though. When we learn to hear the Savior in the chaos of life, as President Nelson taught, “we will be guided to know what to do in any circumstance.”
Listen to this week’s episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast to learn more about what you can do to truly “hear Him” despite your circumstances and hardships.

Opposition is the number one cause of our heartache and pain in this world. So it makes sense why we would want to avoid opposition at all costs and try to create a life that doesn’t have opposition in it.
But what if I told you that opposition is actually our greatest opportunity to have a better relationship with the Savior. Opposition is what allows us to build that relationship and grow to become more like Him.
This means that life is hard but “men are that they might have joy.” President Nelson said, “Despite the distractions and distortions that swirl around us, you can find true rest—meaning relief and peace—even amid your most vexing problems.”
Listen to the Meaningful Minutes Podcast as I discuss why opposition happens and an opportunity I have for you to learn how to face it with better tools in hand so that you can find relief and peace in the middle of opposition.

I think we often misunderstand that our natural man state and the adversary are actually two different things but they do assist each other.
Scripture (Mosiah 16:5) teaches us that when we continue in the natural man state for long enough then the adversary will begin to influence us. There are many ways he does this. Some are obvious but some are not and that is why it is difficult to recognize his influence.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I am sharing with you 4 major ways I see the adversary attacking women today when we fall into that natural man state.

Do you have expectations when you are seeking personal revelation? Do you expect that you should have a specific result? Most people do.
What's important is that we are able to recognize God’s hand in the results He had in mind even when our expectations aren’t met.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I sit down with Darla Trendler of Spiritually Minded Women and we discuss what it looks like when we learn to expect the unexpected and move forward with faith. She shares her experience as a business woman, wife, mom, and her journey running for city council in Mesa.
Truly God had a purpose in her experiences and the results she didn’t expect.

The world is a completely different place than it was and our spirituality is on the chopping blocks if we aren’t careful. In fact, Elder Anderson said,
“We realize that as evil increases in the world, our spiritual survival, and the spiritual survival of those we love, will require that we more fully nurture, fortify, and strengthen the roots of our faith in Jesus Christ.”
I think it’s imperative that we talk about it and how we can truly fortify ourselves. also what is leading to the breakdown of our spiritual foundations. I have noticed 3 things our leaders have warned us about that is breaking down our foundations.
Listen in as I share what those are and how we can combat them.

There are many people who are struggling with their personal testimony and oftentimes it can be difficult to know how to love and support them. Should we ask questions? Should we offer advice or suggestions? Or should just leave them alone and give them space to walk their journey?
Truth be told, everyone’s faith journey is different and there isn’t one right answer as to how we should support them. But we can learn from other’s experiences and try our best to emulate the most loving actions that helped them.
So this week on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I welcomed Darla Pierre to share her story and what helped her through her crisis of faith. We dive into where her journey began, how people helped her, and the blessings that came from her journey.

I always thought that in order to pray with real intent I needed to feel a force behind it, an urgency or a desperateness. This always felt off to me that I needed to make my prayers feel forced, urgent or desperate.
Until I started really studying about what meaningful prayers really meant, I had no idea what real intent meant.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I want to walk you through what it really means to pray with real intent.

Prayer is tricky right? On one hand we are told that we need to ask to receive. Knock and it shall be opened. Yet on the other hand we are told to patiently trust in God’s timing. That God will answer in His own way and timing.
Those opposing concepts used to get me tripped up. I felt like all I needed to do was ask and it would be granted. But also felt as though I needed to guess correctly what God’s will was then it would be granted. Almost trying to guess what God wants for me.
So what is it that you are supposed to do when you don’t get what you desire from prayer? On this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I dive into a few options that might work for you.

Uncertainty in prayer is an interesting thing because we usually approach God in prayer with something we are uncertain about hoping to come out of prayer with a certain answer.
But let me introduce a mind blowing alternative. What if uncertainty in prayer is part of the plan? What if uncertainty HAS to be there? When we don’t get a clear answer to every prayer we still have to move forward.
This is where our faith and our agency come into play.
Listen to this week’s episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast as I discuss why acting with uncertainty is how we build faith.

Do you find yourself only praying for things you can’t do on your own? When you think about your day and you begin to pray, do you only think about asking for help with those things that seem bigger than you and your abilities.
Doing that isn’t necessarily a “bad” thing, but you are leaving a huge source of power on the table when you don’t ask for help with the things you CAN do on your own.
Join me today on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast as I dive into why asking for guidance and help with all parts of your life will give you the capacity to accomplish more.

“To have communion with God, through his Holy Spirit, is one of the noblest aspirations of life.” ~ David O. McKay
I absolutely agree. In addition to my daily prayer routine I often have a prayer in my heart. Multiple times a day. I ask for God’s help with my work or family. I offer gratitude even for the smallest of good things that happen. I also frequently offer prayers for others in need.
I do this because I NEED GOD’S GUIDANCE. Personal revelation is my lifeline. Prayer is how I open that conduit and commune with Him.
This week on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I am sharing my tips for having more moments in your life where you are able to commune with God in a more meaningful way. This isn’t to tell you exactly how to pray but to help you find ways that are best for you.

David A Bednar taught, “Every sincere prayer is heard and answered by our Heavenly Father.”
I agree! All of our prayers are heard and answered. However, sometimes those answers don’t come as expected or at the time we are wanting but they do come. The key is to find a time and place for prayer that works for each of us.
This week on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I am joined by Natalie Bogle. She is a business woman, wife and busy mom of 7. Natalie shares her experiences with prayer, personal revelation, and how she creates a space to hear the guidance of her Heavenly Parents.

I love General Conference time! I didn’t always love it though. In fact, when I joined the church when I was 19 I thought that there was just one session and they replayed it 5 times so you only needed to watch one of the sessions. I remembered how shocked I was when I found out it was in fact 10 hours of talks all in one weekend.
I don’t think I watched or even studied all of the general conference talks for the first 15 years I was a member of the church. It was just too overwhelming to me.
Now I study every talk. I try to set aside conference weekend to watch the talks and really understand what the message is for me out of each conference. Now remember it has taken me 21 years to get to this point, so don’t overwhelm yourself if you aren’t there.
So today I want to share with you the tools I use to study the talks and hear the revelation that God has for me.

Have you ever noticed that kindergarteners can consume a lot of information and quickly grasp a new concept? One of the reasons is because teachers use a lot of different learning styles to teach them. Erin Ropelato, a retired kindergarten teacher. She teaches that we each have different ways of learning and when applied correctly the gospel topics we learn and consume will be ingrained in us.
This week on the Meaningful Minutes Podcast Erin has joined us to teach us each of those 8 styles and how she applies them to gospel study. She believes that when we use learning styles that speak to us we can use them to more fully ingrain gospel topics into our lives.

Recently on the podcast I have been talking about the natural man and how we all experience it. It can be deception, overwhelm, not measuring up to perceived standards, silent suffering, despair, irrationality, and abandonment from God etc.
So today I want to talk about how those emotions can trigger that natural man state and cause you to be blocked from the revelation you need to spiritually survive in this world.
I also discuss the 4 tools I teach that will help you overcome those emotions and how to open the lines of communication between you and He who has all the comfort and guidance you need.

President Nelson has said, “Our Father knows that when we are surrounded by uncertainty and fear, what will help us the very most is to hear His Son.”
We are most definitely surrounded by uncertainty and fear these days so hearing Him becomes even more vital. However, Hearing Him can be difficult even if you are actively trying to increase that ability. Usually by doing more.
As a mental health therapist, I have noticed three different reasons why women struggle to hear Him in their lives. None of them mean we need to do more.
So listen in to Episode 69 of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast for those reasons and how to combat them.

Women want to help their loved ones. So much so that they often feel overwhelmed, anxious, inadequate, drained, and fearful as they try to do that. They try to take it all on and fix everything for those they love.
There is certainly nothing wrong with wanting to do that but we as humans cannot do it alone. It is not possible for us to fix everything for others but there is one thing that has helped me, especially as a therapist, to help others.
Today I am sharing that instrument with you and how you too can apply it as you strive to love and serve those around you.

Mathew 11:29-30 reads, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”
Jesus is offering us a yoke to help make our burdens easier and lighter.
You are carrying many loads in your life that are causing you to feel an extra burden mentally and physically.
Jesus is offering you a yoke to help carry those burdens and the yoke He is offering you is designed to carry your burdens specifically. It is intended to help you get work done that you couldn’t possibly do on your own.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I am sharing specific steps to help you yoke yourself to the Savior and keep pace with Him so as to accomplish all that you possibly can.

Making decisions in your life can often feel anxiety-provoking, confusing, or overwhelming. Even small ones can sometimes make you feel that way.
Making decisions is interesting because we aren’t always faced with a clear good option and bad option. Sometimes we are faced with all good options or all bad options then we can really be confused right?
This can cause you to feel fearful about making the wrong decision. I see this often with the women I work with.
Which makes sense, you don’t want to be out there purposefully making the wrong decision.
But there is a principle at play here that makes certainty not an option.
That principle is faith.

I did it! I hiked the Grand Canyon. Rim to Rim in ONE day. I have shared in past episodes the spiritual lessons I was learning as I prepared myself physically for the hike and now I am sharing about the hike itself.
I am not an avid hiker so this was definitely out of my comfort zone and it was so worth it.
We left earlier than planned, the trail was different than what we had expected, and there was an excessive heat warning. Not everything went as planned but the adventure was fun, I learned a lot, and pushed myself to do something I had never done before.

It is common that people easily talk about their physical health. And thankfully, conversations of mental health are beginning to happen more regularly.
Yet we rarely talk about our spiritual health—which might be one of the most important health aspects to talk about.
As a mental health therapist I can tell you that all aspects of your health affect you
If you’re struggling physically that will affect your mental and spiritual health
If you are struggling with your mental health that will affect your physical and spiritual health.
In this episode of the Meaningful Minutes Podcast I am sharing why it is so important that we address ALL aspects of our health to have success in any of them.

I am finally hiking the Rim to Rim trail of the Grand Canyon. A 24 mile 6,000 ft elevation change hike in one day. I have been preparing for months and luckily I am taking my brothers and their spouses along with me so the prep work has been fun and encouraging.
If you go back and listen to these episodes, you will see that I was inspired by an amazing woman Abi Ayres that I interviewed to do this hike. When I was listening to her tell her story of the hike I clearly heard the Spirit tell me I had to do this hike.
Then, as I was questioning the Spirit why I needed to do such a thing, the Spirit told me this was not a physical goal, this is a spiritual goal.

Unfortunately, many people hold the idea that all hardships and trials we face are a result of sin. But that does not align with the Savior’s teachings. He taught, in John 9:3, “Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”
If we go about trying to prevent those inevitables from happening we will feel even more pain, stress, disappointment, fear, failure, and not good enough.
It’s not about just sitting aside and saying ok then, I will just let bad things happen and do nothing.
It’s about fortifying yourself for the future, preparing for those times to happen and what you will do.
In this week’s episode I discuss specific steps we can actually take to fortify ourselves.

David did something that fateful day that not everyone had the courage to do. HOW?
He went WITH Christ, our Heavenly Parents and the Holy Ghost.
He allowed Them to help him defeat the giant.
He didn’t dive in by himself or shrink to the task because of his feeling of inadequacy.
He allowed Christ to author his story and be His hands.
We also have giants in our lives that need to be fought and we need to know how to do that.
This episode will teach you how to do that!

God has often introduced Jesus Christ as His Son accompanied by the phrase, “Hear Him.” This charge to follow the Savior and hear Him in our lives is one of great importance.
It can also feel overwhelming at times.
These are moments when I remember the teaching from the Book of Mormon, “by small and simple things are great things brought to pass.”
Dieter F. Uchtdorf also teaches this, “Isn’t it interesting how small, seemingly insignificant factors can make a major difference in our lives? Most of the changes in our spiritual lives—both positive and negative—happen gradually, a step at a time.”
Let’s dive into that and find ways we can make small changes in our lives that will help us “hear Him” more.

"I am going to do this for myself. I am going to hike Rim to Rim because I can. I want to prove to myself, to my body, that I am capable." ~Abi
Join me today as I chat with the hilarious and inspiring Abi Ayres. In today’s episode she shares her experience of hiking in the Grand Canyon and how the physical and mental challenge was also intensely spiritual.
I am now prepping for that same 26 mile hike and Abi is the reason. Her experience inspired me to do the hike and I knew right away that my journey, even the prep, would be spiritual.
Abi’s experience brings about all the feels. We laugh AND cry as we discuss hiking, friends to support us, the love of Jesus, and how they all work together!

“Sometimes more is just more. Sometimes the solution is just less. That is going to get you further in life.” ~ Amber
On this week’s episode I welcome my first guest Amber Brueseke. I have been on her podcast twice before and today feels like catching up with an old friend!
Fitness, business, and family. Amber does it all! She lives a busy go and do lifestyle and today she is teaching us that sometimes taking a break is actually what you need.
She also explains today how we are all spiritual beings all of the time and that all aspects of our lives “bleed into one another.” Physically, mentally and spiritually we are divine beings who should recognize our identity as daughters of God in all areas of our lives.
Listen in today and learn how we can actually accomplish more by doing less!

INVESTMENT: Expend with the expectation of a profit in return.
That sounds amazing right? Well it applies spiritually as well!
You put in effort, time and even money to gain MORE. More calm. More knowledge. More PEACE in your everyday life regardless of your situation.
Russell M Nelson has said that, “If we don’t invest in our ability to receive revelation we won’t survive spiritually in the coming days.”
So listen into today as I help you recognize the thoughts we all have that prevent us from investing in ourselves spiritually.
And please leave a review to help other women see how they too can combat those thoughts and invest in themselves.

Success isn’t always defined by money.
What I would define as a success in our lives is at the end of the day you feel satisfied with the efforts that you gave, accomplished in your tasks that you were able to complete and confident knowing you did the right things for those around you.
Many women tell me that at the end of the day they feel exhausted from running on a hamster wheel that is going nowhere but they are spending all of their energy on it.
Do you ever feel that way?
Listen in as I explain how you can feel successful EVERY day. Here are 5 habits successful women do each day that help them succeed. Or in other words, feel satisfied, accomplished and confident at the end of the day.

I would be willing to bet you have experienced self-deception before. You are a human living in a fallen world and that is part of the challenge of living here.
The challenge of a deception that comes from within you. In the form of feeling inadequate, not good enough, overwhelmed, needing to be perfect, always needing to do more (never satisfied) and that weaknesses disqualify you.
Why is it that we are all experiencing this?
Well because opposition was placed inside of each of us at the fall of Adam and Eve and we will experience these types of thoughts.
We ALL have those thoughts. That is why it is important to recognize WHEN your thoughts are being deceptive and having the tools to allow Satan to convince you they are true.

What thought comes to mind when you hear the word repentance? For me, it has almost always been sin. Or more specifically, seeking forgiveness from sin. Is that what you thought?
Well guess what? Repentance is actually a very diverse multifaceted word.
Christ not only atoned for the sins that we will inevitably commit while we are on this Earth, he also atoned for our heartaches, burdens and pains of living in a fallen world.
In today’s podcast we explore that definition and what it can mean to us when we apply it in multiple ways.
Don’t miss out on your opportunity to learn the skills of repentance!

I LOVE a good challenge so I decided to plan and train to hike the Rim to Rim trail in the Grand Canyon.
As I began to train, I heard the whisperings of the Spirit like I had before telling me I needed to share my journey.
I have been putting it off and questioning whether anyone would be interested in my experience or if I would even have enough to share.
So I decided to start exploring and letting the Spirit teach me what He wanted me to share.
Immediately right off the bat I had 3 significant lessons I have learned so far in my 2 months of training.
**And that’s what I am going to share with you today.

We all have a natural man inside of us. It is supposed to be there. The natural man is the opposition that was placed inside of you at the fall of Adam and Eve.YOU are not broken because you have the natural man, God placed it inside of you. It’s purpose is to allow you to have agency to choose God.
But the goal isn’t to try to get rid of the natural man (that won’t happen in this life).
It is to get to know HOW YOUR natural man is working against YOU.
Elder Bednar said that, “Understanding the intent of an enemy is vital to effective preparation for possible attacks.”
That enemy is the natural man.
Listen in as I explain how to understand your natural man and how to combat it.

I discuss the pitfalls of being a doer and not a receiver in the Gospel in today's episode.
Now you might be thinking what the heck is a receiver and a doer?
I made those terms up because I have seen this phenomenon happen with many women I work with. I want to help you understand this phenomenon and how it can alter your perspective of the gospel.
We all have a doer inside of us that wakes up and causes us to start treating the gospel like a checklist
The problem with this doer mentality is that you are trying to attain something that isn’t possible and will always feel like you are failing.

Show Notes:
I have only been studying and learning about Heavenly Mother for the last few years. Prior to that, I had no idea how valuable it would be for me to learn of Her and find my divine nature and potential in her.
Rutger Clawson, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from 1898 until his death in 1943 stated, “It doesn’t take from the worship of our eternal father to adore our eternal mother anymore then it diminishes the love we have for earthly father to include our earthly mother in our affection rather we honor women when we acknowledge Godhood in her eternal prototype”

Why would I want to individually build a relationship with each member of the Godhead? If you are wondering that then listen as I discuss that teaching that each member has a unique power that is designed to benefit us in a specific way.
M Russell Ballard said, “We must always remember that our true happiness depends upon our relationship with God, with Jesus Christ, and with each other.”
It is important to remember these benefits and powers that each member of the Godhead provides so you can work on receiving them, utilizing them and building on them.
I will teach you how to do this in my Spiritual Survival Course. Click on the link below to get on my waitlist for January 2022 and while you’re there be sure to download the worksheet for today’s episode.

Listen in as I share how seeking daily personal revelation gave me the guidance I needed from the Holy Ghost to launch a business.
I am so grateful for the spiritual breadcrumbs that God has left me to find this place that He wants me to be right here and I 100% attribute that to the consistent efforts I do daily in seeking personal revelation.
All of the sudden I heard a voice plain as day tell me “you have to share this.”
President Nelson:
“I urge you to stretch beyond your current spiritual ability to receive personal revelation. In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”

Words of Mormon says: “He worketh in me to do according to His will”
That is the part I love most about aligning our will with God through prayer, it is that when we do we are yoking to the Savior and working side by side to accomplish God’s will
We become a team working in tandem to help God accomplish Their work here on Earth

I am sure after this past year, your mental health has taken a hit in feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, a loss of motivation and confusion.
One way to better your mental health is to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm stable state through meditation.
President said: “We pay too little attention to the value of meditation, a principle of devotion. . . . Meditation is the language of the soul. It is defined as ‘a form of private devotion, or spiritual exercise, consisting in deep, continued reflection on some religious theme.”

Have you ever questioned yourself at least once if not multiple times when a thought popped into your mind to do something and you wondered, “am I just having a thought or is the Spirit actually talking to me?
Have you heard people say “well if it is good then it is coming from the spirit and is a prompting”.
I am going to have an unpopular opinion here. I don’t think that all thoughts that pop into our mind to do good things are promptings.
Because it isn’t what the action is that makes it a prompting but the motivation behind it.
