Am I Suffering by Comparison?
Pray that we are not missing out by NOT comparing ourselves to God.
-Wrath is coming, but so is Jesus…our Deliverer.
-Nothing on this earth now, and nothing to come, we will not be delivered from.
-We should look forward to a delivery. A delivery itself implies that something is picked up, carried away, but delivered to another destination. We will all be delivered; it just depends on who your delivery guy is.
[5] For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.
-Jesus is coming. Persecution and trials are inevitable. What are you doing?
-Do you know Christ as your Savior? (You will not survive this without Him)
-Are you campaigning for Christ?
-Is your hope in salvation or politics?
-Are you lifting one another up?

Luke 2:18–19

Pondering, according to the Oxford English dictionary… “In the sense most relevant to its scriptural use, ponder means to think or reflect deeply, or to meditate.”
MEDITATE ON THIS-If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are adopted and are RELATED to the King of Kings, Lord of Lords and are a heir to the throne.
TITLE: How am I supposed to live now?

TITLE: Where Does Jesus Live?
PASSAGE: Mark 16:19–20
[19] So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. [20] And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.
The Ascension had been predicted by Jesus in Mark 14:7, and was witnessed by the apostles as recorded in Acts 1:9. ; his sitting at God's right hand was a matter of faith but the Apostles firmly believed and preached this in the early church as referred to in Acts 2:33-35 and Acts 7:56.
TITLE: What must I do to be saved?
PASSAGE: Acts 16:25-34
[25] About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, [26] and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened. [27] When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. TITLE: What is the cost?
PASSAGE: Romans 6:20–23
[20] For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. [21] But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. [22] But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. The Sign of Immanuel

TITLE: Am I Only Dreaming?
We are going to read about Joseph and his encounter with an angel during a dream he had. Before we do, here are a few things about dreams from The Valley Sleep Center:

Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.
The Psalmist praise ends with a confession as to what the Lord has done. He not only answers prayer but strongly encourages the psalmist, revitalizing his life.

I hope that everyone who listens to this today will as the Lord to bless them today. Maybe you have been missing out on something, just because you have not asked.
"The psalm is a fitting climax to the collection of “royal psalms” (93, 95–100) and sums up their emphasis on God’s sovereign rule, His goodness to His people, the responsibility of all nations to acknowledge Him, and the importance of God’s people exalting and worshipping Him. "
"Hope begins with submitting oneself fully to the protection of God and is demonstrated by absolute loyalty to him. "
Asaph had a process to move from despair and sleeplessness to a place of rest. Asaph meditated on the deeds of God.
We need to have daily, continual dialogue with God, but the occasional well-written prayer is solid theologically, can be well-presented and very appropriate.
Written prayers, journaled prayers, can help us in the future as we reflect back on how we endured difficult times.
Psalm 69:14..."Deliver me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters."
The same spiritual hunger and passion that David had, we can have. David’s hunger was driven by the fact that he had tasted these things before. Once you have experienced God’s power, glory, support and praising Him, you just want more.
The enemy is trying to destroy you, and me. The enemy, Satan is lurking all around us and has one goal. He cannot take us from the Lord, so He will do everything He can to distract us from sharing the Gospel.
We can stare down our enemy and say “God has delivered me from every trouble, and my eyes will look in triumph on my you.” “Do what you gotta do.”
God Almighty that commands the heavens and the earth and prepares to judge the wicked. Asaph’s psalm sounds more like a legal proceeding, with God acting as both judge and jury.
As the Psalmist says…
Psalm 43:5... Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
“If I spend my time doing what is right, I will not have time to focus on what evildoers are up to.”
Key Takeaway: No matter what you have to do, whatever guilt you are carrying, seek forgiveness before you are robbed of one more moment of peace.
God’s goodness is the perfect character of God that we are to follow. God’s mercy is for when we mess it up.
Our goal, in everything we do, and everything we are, is to get to glory and take as many with us as possible.
Often times, in order for us to understand how bright God’s light is in our lives, we must remember to pray for the persecuted, and plead with God to protect them.
