Welcome to the “Anti-Hustle”… Slow living, thinking and being. A shared journey of a lifetime exploring what it means to be human and how we can create the life we want, doing the work we love.
Five minute insights on what it takes to not just live but to feel alive!
Do you experience chronic pain? Physical. emotional, spiritual? DO you ever give yourself the permission to stop, pause and take care of your self? How does this work in the world of work and business? Let’s explore this together…
What’s your earliest memory of not “fitting in”... of standing out? Society loves to categorise us, it’s how it makes sense of the world and how we make sense of each other. Friend or foe... known or unknown... the same or different?
My 7 year old self was equally horrified at my first experience of someone trying to put me into a box and strangely pleased by the fact nobody know where I belonged or even how to describe. I think that rebel archetype is still very much part of who I am!
What about you?
What are you suppressing that needs to be heard? How are you subduing your wild nature?
I subdued my wild nature as I subdued my rebellious waves. Suppressed my true self with a perceived ideal of beauty held by society. I conformed to “the norm”.
It’s time to embrace our wild natures, the wild (wo)man archetype that’s found in all of us.
We all face it... that fear of the first page.
Creatives often experience it more than most. I remember when I was an art student, the first white page of a sketchbook used to make me anxious. I had a desperate desire to design but was also afraid of making my first mark. A metaphor for life? The fear of the first page can be applied to so many things we desire but are afraid to start.
We just need to take that first step!
Reflections on how to start on what you desire in life but are currently avoiding and a dash of spoken word poetry thrown in... just to get the message home to our minds.
