**It’s midsummer & it’s a fine time to assess where we are in this thing called life.

In the midst of all the commotion, the traffic, bodies and the heat or rain that comes with the territory of summer we may find that we are being pulled in different directions.  To both join the crowd and detach and stand out as individuals.  To both move and remain at a state of rest.

Should we go out or retreat?  Seek independence or community?  Do we accelerate or slow down?  Are we half way in or out?  What are we manifesting?  What's coming to fruition?  Or are we instead breaking ground and laying seeds for a season ahead?*//connect with me//instagramyoutubespotifysoundcloud*

**As the natural world moves upwards and with life springing forth from the Earth and temperatures rising, our anger tends to complement this natural cycle, gaining momentum and rising from the depths of our emotional reservoir of latent things.  Like an untended garden, our anger will shoot up aggressively from the ground and spread wildly as the heat intensifies, if we don’t manage it carefully, especially during the summer months.

The element associated with summer, after is all, is fire.  The wood of spring is what gives way to the fire of summer.

What makes you angry?  How do you manage your anger?  What is the relationship between anger and boundary setting?  and forgiveness?

What is the wisdom of anger?  And how can we harness it?**

As temperatures rise, it’s easy to fall into the mindset that we’re behind.  That we aren’t where we want to be.  Or who we should be.  That we haven’t done enough.   We start feeling the heat that naturally comes with the summer.

As a result, we may succumb to the belief that we aren’t enough.

Truth is you are a work in progress.  We all are. That will always be the case because the learning curve is great.  And we are all students of this thing called life.  Even if you met all of your existing “goals” future "goals" will soon follow.  It can feel like an endless conveyor of things to be accomplish or achieve if we aren’t conscious of our framing of things.

Regardless of where you are in life, it’s important to acknowledge where you are as well as how far you’ve come.  You are enough.  You always have been.

Everything you need is within you.

**As human beings we are meant to create.  We've been developing ourselves and the world around us ever since we were hunter gatherers, forging for food,  making cave art, all of which are creative endeavors.

We are not only biologically programmed to create, but we’re also being increasingly inspired to do so.    During the spring, nature is springing forth, crafting and displaying it’s creations for the us at every turn.

Spring is a time to plan and put our plans into action, which is another way of saying that it’s a time to create.

What is your relationship with creativity?  What are you currently working on , in other words, creating?  Are you actively creating the life you want for yourself?  Are you leading a creative life?**

Spring is when the water recedes & when you look down, all that remains. The impression left and residue from a deep slumber. A “clean” slate that although cleared, carries the sediment from all that came before. In it we see our current vision and our future potential as well as the areas where we fall short, where we’ve been wounded in the past, our pain and anger, which is the emotion associated with the season.

It is a time of action, but more importantly planning. Getting clear on our intentions, on what kind of seeds we’d like to plant and where, and making sure we’re resourced to provide adequate care, so we manifest and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

We are so more than what we think - gardeners, alchemists, artists, co-creators, designers, engineers, architects developing a blueprint for of our lives.

Spring symbolizes renewal, transformation and direction, but we can harness these qualities at anytime. Everyday is a day to begin anew.

To begin your day & honor the season, I invite you to give my Morning Meditation a listen, which is a bonus to this episode.

**Potential is waiting for the right time for things to be birthed.  It is the promise of things to come.   Winter is a time of gathering & storing our potential, so that we can effectively harness it come Spring.

What ideas have you been keeping below ground this winter, that you’re looking to push forward when the conditions become more favorable?  Have you protected your hopes, dreams, and vision from the outer elements by storing them properly during the cold months?  What seeds are you looking to plant and cultivate this spring?//connect with me//

One of the things we tend to wish for others during the New Year is PEACE.

But how does one go about that exactly?  What does peace mean to you?  & how do you attain it?

Before we start wishing it for others, how do we cultivate peace within ourselves?  How does the act of surrendering inform peace?  What is the relationship between peace & rest?

This year, I invite you to embark on a sacred mission in the name of peace, to obtain it and to maintain it, especially during the darkest hours, a time when fear tends to seep in, gifts which the winter season alone brings.

**Winter is here.

The winter solstice marks the beginning of winter, although for some of us, the cold weather has been underway for sometime.

This season is a time of deepening and inwards movement, of traveling further down and reaching the lowest ebb, which is the nature of water, the element associated with winter. We are being encouraged to use darkness of night and time indoors to become still and explore the shadows of our inner environment. It is a process that often invokes fear, which is the predominant emotion of the season.

What if saw staying in as an opportunity to go within? To be still and sit with the discomfort at play both externally and internally? To listen rather than divert our attention elsewhere? And in spite of the elements, to confront our fears?

What other qualities does water possess? Which of these can also be explored & integrated?

It is the longest night of the year for those in the Northern hemisphere. However, from this point forward the days will now get longer. The potential of spring, of there being light at the end of the tunnel, of coming out on the other side, is foreshadowed.//connect with me//instagram *youtubespotify*soundcloud

**We are knee deep in the season where the predominant emotion is grief.  Seasonal depression is a thing during this time for a reason, in spite of the holidays.   & so much can transpire in a matter of minutes, let alone an entire year.

As the end of year approaches and temperatures drop, let us take stock of an emotion that society tends to relegate to the shadows, but which is a fundamental human quality.   We grieve not only the change in seasons, but the world around us as well as matters pertaining to our daily lives, including what we've inherited.

By acknowledging and working through our grief we can find and maintain emotional intimacy with life, one another and ourselves.//connect with me//instagram *youtubespotify*soundcloud

**The holidays especially situate the body at the forefront of physical interactions and social engagements.  It is the season where other bodies, as opposed to our own body, are placed at the center of our attention and care.  We tend to freely give ourselves to others, but what if we directed this energy onto ourselves.

What does living in your body feel like?  What does embodiment mean to you?  What does it mean to embody a given thing?

As fall progresses, we are being called to carve out space and practice the art of embodiment by exploring the relationship between our emotions and the body.//connect with me//instagram *youtubespotify*soundcloud

We are of the Earth.  We are made of Earth.  Ground yourself.
Honor the relationship between body & Earth.

A meditative journey to the Earth’s core that connects us with the Earth’s grounding energy and ourselves.

With the arrival of fall, things are both energetically and literally falling downwards - from the trees shedding their leaves & fruit to the plants flowering and distributing their seeds - that which has risen from the Earth is returning back to the Earth.  Because we are an extension of this ecology, we too may notice something similar happening not only around us but within us.

It’s a time to become curious about ourselves.  To take pleasure in the process of dropping into our bodies and exploring what’s hidden, which is one of the gifts of the fall season, a season associated with the element metal.  What gifts remain dormant, untapped within us?  What if we were to spend this time delving deep beneath the surface of your inner being, unearthing the treasures buried within us?

Fall is a time to fall within and for ourselves.

Included with this episode is a grounding meditation with music by Carlos *Niño.  This grounding meditation takes you on a journey beneath the Earth’s surface, where the element metal, like our gifts, is hidden.   It’s just one of many ways to honor the fall and drop into ourselves.

I invite you to check it out.

Late summer is associated with the element Earth. The time is ripe for honoring the season by assessing the stories we've written & (re)connecting with ourselves.  It is from here that our connection to others and all of life emanates and thrives.
