About Carmine Appice
You’re unlikely to find a phenomenon like Carmine and Vinny Appice a second time in the history of rock music. For more than forty years, the two brothers have been among the most sought-after and renowned rock drummers worldwide. Carmine and Vinny (each of them on their own) can be heard on numerous legendary albums and have toured countless times with some of the world’s greatest acts. Carmine embarked on his musical path in the 1960s with the unforgotten Vanilla Fudge, manning in the course of his illustrious career the drums for superstars such as Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, among others. His brother Vinny, who is eleven years his junior, looks back on an equally spectacular career, having worked with acts such as Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and Dio, among others. With the exception of the live album Drum Wars – Live!(2014), there has been no direct collaboration between the two so far. That’s about to change! Sinister is the first joint studio album by Carmine and Vinny and was recorded with the support of a number of prestigious guests. Vinny: “As Ringo said: with a little help from our friends.” The album is scheduled for release on Steamhammer/SPV on 27 October 2017 and marks a long-overdue new development for fans of these two outstanding drummers.

After becoming sober in 1987, Byrd left the Blackhearts in 1991 and worked hard establishing himself and earning work with such rock legends as Roger Daltrey (the Who) and Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople).
After battling his demons, Byrd eventually won the war, getting himself clean and turning his life around. Byrd went on to establish the non-profit Clean Getaway where he has devoted himself to spreading the message of hope and possibilities through rock & roll. The mission of the Clean Getaway non-profit is to bring awareness, education, prevention and addiction resources to those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction through the healing power of music.

Ryan Hampton serves as an outreach lead and recovery advocate for Facing Addiction, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending the addiction crisis in America. Prior to that, he worked with multiple non-profits across the country and served in a staff capacity for various political campaigns. In 2016, Ryan publicly disclosed his decade-old struggle with heroin and prescription medications, along with his journey in recovery, in an effort to advocate for reform on a national public policy level.
For his work on the #AddictionXAmerica project, Hampton has been called “the guy who is changing the way America looks at addiction.” His journey has been featured by the Huffington Post, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, Upworthy, Dr. Oz, and the White House. Most recently, Hampton was featured by Forbes Magazine as one of four top social entrepreneurs advancing the nationwide recovery movement.
