There was an amazing heat wave in the middle of May and we swam and jumped off the dock. Such joy!

My son Matthew takes me on a wonderful snowmobile adventure across three big frozen lakes and one little lake to a tiny island on Lake Joe. It’s favourite summer spot, so visiting in the deep, cold, stillness of winter is very special. Enjoy!

After a long period of being in the city, an opportunity arose to venture into the frozen North. Departing Toronto was pure joy, followed by an exhilarating ride across the ice covered lake to a remote island. Bonfire under the moon and 2am snacks back at the cottage....

Joy and laughter abound as I work to encourage my puppy Rufus to rejoice in the act of jumping in the lake. My son Matthew and I had really hoped to have a doggy that would love to jump in the water. And the dream came true!
I skippered an ocean worthy trimaran sailing on a windy sun-filled day on a northern Ontario lake - “a happy day”!
