The sacrifice of the Passover was a symbol of forginveness, of which God would forgive those who put the blemish-less blood of the lamb on their door post. We should live life with purpose, if you are still on this Earth then God is not done with you. Peter stressed how urgent waking up is because Jesus told him how long he had left to live out his callings for his life. Do we trust God enough to handle those who wronged us? Hurt is bound to happen, but the way in which we deal with it determines who we trust. Our lives are a harbor, ships of hurt come in frequently, but its up to us whether or not we deal with it or let it stay. In order to truly rid our lives of pain, we have to release it all to God. Since God gives us what we don't deserve, we must do the same to others and forgive as Christ forgave us.

When you think of God, what is the first thing that pops into your head? Some may say power, and that is what we dove into this sunday. God's power is a compas, it is incomprehensible, it is absolute, and it is accessible. Often we tend to view God as equal to us but forget His great power, of which we must not sell short. This Sunday we discover the greatness of God's power, and how it impacts our lives in many different ways.
This Sunday, we dove deeper into how the world often distracts us and allows life to become overwhelming. God's power is, and will always be, greater than any demonic power there is, becaus He is God, the one who protects and fights for us. This is why we have to live every day like it is the last, because we do not know when that is, all we know is that today is a gift from God and we should live as His children.

Could it be that there are demonic influences causing Christians to stray from truth? Are those influences in the church as well? The Bible speaks a lot about this warning followers of Jesus to identify insincere teachers who seek to deceive listeners even in the church. This is a compelling call for collective vigilance within the church community.
People often believe many different philosophies and different ideas that are sometimes anti-truth and anti-Jesus Christ. These kinds of thoughts are often propagated by the evil one and by people all around us. Thankfully, thoughout all of the distractions in life, God still provides truth today for anyone who chooses to seek it.
"A growing faith is meant to replace life's questions." God calls us as Christians to go into the world and make disciples for Him. To utilize our groups of influence and deeply invest in those that God has placed into our lives. We are sent into this world in order to be a light to others through reflecting God and His influence.

For our last Sunday of Advent, Pastor Jarvis dives into Mathew chapter 2. The very first Christmas asks the question, why are we here? The wise men were searching for Jesus, which means that we must look too. In this sinful world, we are often told how far away we are from God, and how we are so sinful we could never deserve Him. However, God denys that and declares that we are born to seek God, and everyone is important to do so.
