View Details

In this episode, Mark White (founder of Run Grateful) sits down with Charla Grant, founder of The Grateful Hearts Club -  a platform that helps connects individuals and organisations with a deeper sense of gratitude through diverse experiences and offerings.

Through talks, workshops and coaching, Charla uses her lived experience of gratitude to support mental wellbeing and resilience. After learning about gratitude during a difficult time, Charla has dedicated her life to sharing this message so that others find out about the benefits of living a grateful life, long before they need it.

In this conversation, we go over how Charla first embarked on her own gratitude journey and when she decided to devote her life's work to form the Grateful Hearts Club. She dives deep into some beneficial tips for practicing gratitude and also, what her experience has been like when combining both gratitude practice and movement.

Run Grateful is so pleased to be sharing this brand new series of internal podcasts with the Ocado Group, supported by The Ocado Foundation.

During the month of February 2021, Run Grateful set a challenge of running/walking 7918 "grateful miles" across the world (the diameter of the earth).

Over the course of this challenge, we invited Ocado employees to focus on something or someone they feel gratitude towards & then to share this gratitude with us, creating a deeper connection with themselves and those they work with around the world.

Following the huge success of the "Run Grateful x Ocado challenge," The Ocado Group was passionate about continuing the conversation with Run Grateful and further connecting you all within The Ocado Group in new ways.

As a result, our new podcast was born! Welcome to the first episode. In this series we have organised some great conversations with runners/walkers who took part in the challenge and chat about all things fitness, wellness and life at Ocado.

In Episode 1, we talk to James Piper who works in London, has been with Ocado for over 6 years and is just one of life's good ones.

We discuss his love for running, how it supports his mental and physical health, how he's overcoming his injuries, and moving home during a global lockdown.

We hope you enjoy our conversation.
