Trial By Fire follows the true story of the Uphaar Cinema tragedy in Delhi in 1997. Created by Prashant Nair and Kevin Luperchio, this Netflix series follows Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy played by Rajshri Deshpande and Abhay Deol - a married couple who lost both their children in that fire. Based on a 2016 book of the same name written by the real Neelam and Shekhar, this seven-episode series chronicles their three Decade long judicial fight for justice, against the Ansal brothers - rich Delhi industrialists who owned the theater. The last time YouTube sensation Bhuvan Bam dived into creating a web series - the result was the remarkably ambitious, admirably… ludicrous slapstick Youtube comedy series Dhindora back in 2021 which went on to become an absolute smash hit.
