Patricia Zehentmayr's Bio:
Living in a too loud, fast-paced, competitive world always posed challenges for Patricia. Was something wrong with her? In 1996, she was told by a psychologist that no, nothing was wrong; she actually had a trait shared by 15-20% of people - that of being a Highly Sensitive Person. This started her on a path to learn all she could to navigate this trait, leaning into its advantages. Along the way, she mastered Feldenkrais, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Inner Reconciliation to communicate with the nervous system skillfully. It is her passion to share these gentle methods with other HSPs.

Are you feeling uneasy, disconnected, off-balance?
Finding it difficult to make decisions?
Hard to find peace and calm?
These past few years have been a roller coaster ride from Hala (a Marvel universe where you would be physically exhausted from just standing up).
Many people are having conversations about how can we build resilience - the ability to bounce forward (there is no going back) from the current challenges.
To find a place of calm within the storm of what we are experiencing.
The Feldenkrais Method can help you to cultivate a feeling of resilience. Exploring balance, neutrality, and “acture” (as opposed to posture), including biomechanical support, contributes to one’s sense in relation to the world around them.
OR simply, the body experiences stability and support, to be able to experience resilience.
One of the reasons I created the Movement Online Academy is to help people build resilience by experiencing Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons.
Core to all of Moshe Feldenkrais’s teachings is that all emotional and intellectual ideas have physical correlation, experienced through the body’s contractions, sensations, biochemistry, and much more.

I had a lovely conversation with Ralph Hadden about his new book, “Your 14 Day Pelvis Program”.
Ralph’s book features a wonderful training program for the pelvis, pelvic floor and whole self. There is a movement lesson for each day, guiding you step by step through exploring, clarifying and mobilising your pelvis, pelvic floor, lower back, hip joints and whole body. Plus there is supplementary material on the anatomy and biomechanics of your muscles, bones, connective tissues and nervous system and on sexual wellbeing. The exercises and anatomy are beautifully illustrated by diagrams and photos. Ralph shares how his book evolved and his process for making the movement lessons clear and easy to follow.

Interesting conversation with Richard Goldsand on his journey to exploring tensegrity with in The Feldenkrais Method.
Tensegrity - or tensile integrity - is a type of structural model that relies on the continuous balance of tension and compression within an interconnected structure. If you pull or strain one part, you create a push on another part and vice versa. If there is no push, you won’t have the pull.
The body is an interconnected system that operates as a tensegrity model.
This means to experience easy and harmonious movement, we need to create equal and opposite push/pull or tension/compression within the body. When the body overworks or underworks too much or too little (or not at all), the structural integrity is thrown out of balance.
Richard's BIO
For those of us who have fallen in love with the Feldenkrais Method and its work, sometimes it’s hard to understand how come people don’t get “it“. Our work can seem magical, and mysterious, or sometimes I/we didn’t understand “how “ this miraculous experience just happened. The intersection of the Feldenkrais Method and the Tensegrity model I believe allows us to have a more accurate internal experience which allows us to explain some of these moments.
Rich has worked successfully with artistic performers, high-achieving athletes, individuals wishing to combat everyday stressors of life, and medical professionals seeking complementary therapies for clients.
Since 2000 Rich has taught the Feldenkrais Method in the ASU Dance Department and has served as Feldenkrais Educational consultant for various ASU Athletic teams including men’s baseball, football, and women’s basketball. He also trained members of the US Olympic Diving Team and in his private practice he has worked with prominent professional athletes.
Rich has been sharing his work for the past 30 years, from his private practice to his own Feldenkrais/Tensegrity workshops in Germany, Austria ,Japan and Australia, to assisting in Feldenkrais Training Programs worldwide.
Rich Goldsand was trained in Marin County, California. Rich was first introduced to the Feldenkrais® Method in 1988 through his oldest daughter who was receiving lessons for her own movement difficulties. He began his studies of mind/body perspectives and human potential when he became certified in the Feldenkrais Method® In 1994.

As a teen, Lisa fell down a flight of stairs which caused extreme pain and started her on a journey of healing and ultimately freedom. A fascinating story on how her search for healing led her to discover and practice tools of meditation, higher self-communication, self dream-interpreting and noticing nature signs, and finally to Feldenkrais. These discoveries helped her to re-remember that we are so much more than our physical self, and have a Self-connected with the Universe which includes ways to heal, even for those with stubborn pain. It's her passion to share Feldenkrais and inspire hope on your own journey to more pleasure and freedom in your life. Enjoy our conversation.

Are you feeling stressed, anxious about life, or struggling with nagging pains or chronic pain?
Feeling like your fitness training, yoga practice and/or dance performance is stagnating hit a plateau that you can’t seem to get past?
I have found that moving slowly with awareness of what you are doing can have a positive impact on all the challenges I mentioned as well as some often surprising outcomes in many other areas of your life.
How can slow movement have all of these benefits? Sounds counter-intuitive to many things we have been taught. Stick with me and you will discover how it is possible.
Research into neuroplasticity and neuromuscular science is only now discovering the links between slow movement and effects on the brain. Dr. Norman Doidge explores the work of dr. Moshe Feldenkrais in his book the 'The Brains way of Healing'. Highly recommended reading if you are exploring this work for yourself.
On this podcast, you will hear first-hand experiences from practitioners and students of this practice. Stories from suffering extreme pain to finding pleasure in moving again. Challenging depression to feeling calm and at peace.
My mission is to help humans find peace. I believe An extraordinary life starts with your well-being.
