Whether it’s a job, healing, love, or peace — we chase the things we believe matter most. But my question today is… are you pursuing Jesus the same way you chase everything else in your life?

On today's episode we will discuss Matthew 17:21, 21 [a]However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Unfortunately some translations of the bible have remove this scripture altogether. I do not know the reason for it but I believe it is imperative of believers to fast. Fasting will reveal a lot things about yourself and the will of the Lord. Jesus was instructing the disciples that you must have faith of the size of a mustard seed when overcoming the supernatural. In this particular case is was a demon. But they were confused why the demon didn't leave when it was commanded. Jesus said " However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. The disciples hit a wall that could only be overcome through #1:faith and #2 prayer and fasting. The truth is fasting is NOT easy, you will be tested! Your flesh only wants to please it self and not God. Death occurs during a fast as well as Godly strengthen and awareness. Don't run from a fast but go on the journey knowing that God is with you. I am concerned that wisdom is often over looked as a trait to ask for. We pray for His grace, mercy , joy, peace and so many other attributes but what about wisdom. James 1:55 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.Wisdom empowers us, strengthens us, settles our mind, guides us as well as protects us. The word of God says in 2 Chronicles 20:15 "He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s." So if the battle is not ours and it belongs to the Lord, then why do I need to fight spiritually? Well, the battle belongs to God, meaning that the battle has already been won BUT we have to participate in the "war" . the Bible give so many examples of physical and most of all spiritual warfare and what is our part as believers. We have been graced with a certain measure of faith and authority that comes from God but with this authority we have to steward and sharpen our authority according to the word. 2 Corinthians 2 :10-11, tells us to walk a certain pathway that we may be aware of the schemes of the enemy. Here is the truth: when we are ignorant of Satan’s strategies, he is able to take things from us that belong to us in Jesus, things like peace, joy, fellowship, a sense of forgiveness, and victory.Ephesians 6 tells us to put on the whole armor of God because we wrestle not against flesh and blood. We as believers can no longer sit on the sidelines and pretend we are not in a spiritual battle but the hoe we have is knowing that the battle is not ours but it belongs to the Lord. Today's prayer we are continuing our discussion of " A beautiful Heart of Repentance". Ya'll know I love to pray. The beauty about being a believer is we have direct access to God. John 14:13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. When we ask in the name of Jesus , we should believe that it is so. God desires us to come to Him in all forms and about any and everything. Today, we are asking Him to open our eyes to our sins. We shouldn't assume that all people including ourselves know what is sin or not. God does not reveal what is all wrong the moment we become saved. He is so kind to reveal things in specific time and season. We are praying for the Lord to reveal to us our personal sins and weights. Reveal to us the language we use to excuse "the sin". We are back!!! YAY! I am so thankful to be back. This season we are going to dive deeper into the word of God and really examine our relationship with Christ. My heart desires is to learn of Him more and more. It is not about the material things while that is a blessing , the focus needs to be on our relationship with our Savior. We are starting this season off with repentance. I know this topic is not spoken of much but we need to talk about it and learn more of it. As a kid or a young adult repentance was spoken of as a duty not as a privilege. Maybe a preacher was yelling it over the pulpit and you felt bad for being a sinner or felt bad for sinning. While I am not trying to dismiss those moments, I would like for us to respond to His kindness and love for us.We have the privilege to ask for forgiveness as much as possible. I am so happy to be back with season 3!!!! Woah what a blessing!! I have been praying for you all and I hope you have been praying for me. Every season and episode I pray and study the word of God to see what we need to discuss as family. I heard in prayer for the first 5 episodes for us to discuss "the beauty of a repentant heart". Wow what a statement!!! I've never thought of repenting consistently as beautiful but it is.Repentance is usually spoken of when a sinner desires to be saved. But we as believers need to repent for anything we have done that was against that Lord will and His word. We are thankful that we have such a loving and kind Heavenly Father that He is always ready to forgive us of our sins. Over these next 5 episodes I want us to dive into what is repentance according to scripture and what is our part. What happens when we sin against God? And our we repenting because we got caught or feel bad or is it a response to His kindness. This season my desire is to dive deeper into the word of God and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal Hs truths and mysterious to us. Let's go!!

We are at the end for season 2! God is so good that He has allowed us to come this far. When I first started this podcast I was nervous and didn't have faith in myself but I had faith in Him. If the Lord says go, that is what I do! And I am so glad I did. We are closing our season 2 with our last week of prayer "decree and declare". God is requiring us to have a level of spiritual strategy, wisdom and boldness for this season of life. Something will not happen until you know and live His word. Charles Capps says: "God declares that His Word will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). We are to return His Word by giving VOICE TO IT, and He will create the fruit of our lips. Confessing God's Word is a way you can fellowship with the Lord and increase your faith at the same time." He challenges us to " affirm scriptural confessions audibly 3x a day. Don't hit or miss but make it a practice to take's God medicine on a regular basis, just as you would any other medicine. Then it will be LIFE to you and HEALTH to your flesh. Wow!! what would our lives look like if we declared the Word of God over our lives. Would you have increased wisdom, compassion, peace, health, wealth, knowledge, better relationships and best witness someone becoming saved! What would happened if we declared His Word as law and truth and not suggestions. I challenge you over the next few weeks to create the habit of declaring the word of God over your lives. We are in week 5 of 6 weeks of prayer and I am so glad you are here!! Today we are going to give thanks to God for His love to forgive!! God desires and wants to forgive us of our sins. He is an amazing and loving Father that wants to be in relationship with us. Forgiveness is apart of salvation, it is apart of our relationship with Christ. Once we have accepted Christ we have been forgiven of all our sins. Now, you will stumble and fall during your walk but this is why God desires us to come to Him and confess to we can cast all of our cares upon Him. He does not want us to live bound or stuck, He wants us to be free. Forgiveness is Freedom and this is what God desires for His children. We are living in a very interesting time to say the least. It seems like there is more negative being reported than positive. I encourage us not to become discouraged or desensitize by what we see and hear but let us pray. Pray for one another and our home countries. God has graced this podcast to reach people around the world , so this is not a pray that will only reach where you live but we are believing what the word of God says Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. A lot of people believe in God but not in His Son, Jesus Christ. They believe that Jesus was a teacher, prophet or just a man but not God in man form. Salvation through Jesus Christ is what separates us , it allows us to have eternal life. We have not received salvation because of our works, no. We have salvation because it is a gift from God. Jesus is a gift from God and those who accept Him will have eternal life. We are commissioned to continue to speak of the goodness of Jesus to the world but are we doing that? It is easy to get distracted by everything going on in our lives but we can't forget to introduce someone to Jesus. In order to received the fullness of God, we first have to be adopted through Christ's sacrifice on the cross into His kingdom. We are in week 3 of prayer! what an exciting time for us to gather around the world in faith to be in the same mindset. I am a believer that God does respond to our tears and request but even more to His promises. Christ not only died so we may be saved but He is able to transform our minds. The way we see, think, move and so much more. Just because you are saved doesn't mean you have a Christ centered life. In this prayer let us pray for the Holy Spirit to open our eyes so we will see Christ and reveal the areas where He has not been the center.Love ya'll

Episode 25 : Pray: Lord give us the mind of a builderWe are going to continue in pray, as I was preparing for this week’s episode. I heard the Holy Spirit say continue to pray. So, I will pray. The next few episodes until we reach episode 3o (last) of this season, we will pray His word. We will invite the Holy Spirit into our environment and endow us with His powerful knowledge to become builders.Last week we prayed about clarity, this week.. we need to build. Today, I want us to pray, I love to pray and seek His word. I truly believe God is the answer to all of our problems and most importantly He is the source for us to live a whole life. I want to specifically prayer for clarity in our minds and heart. Are you a selfish Christian? I'm specifically asking about your relationship with God. Have you ever asked the Lord, what does He need?

I know it may sound silly but think about it, have you? Have you had a conversation with your Heavenly Father and desired to hear His heart, His desires for your life.

It is very easy to take a selfish approach in our relationship with God. Some believe, whatever we ask in His name it shall be.

Well, John 14: 13 Jesus did say "" and I will do whatever you ask in my name" But if we continue to read the rest of the scriptures it will give us a godly understanding.

John 14:13-16

13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—

Even what we ask and what Christ answered, must glorify our Father not ourselves. So I'll ask again are your selfish?

Psalms 37:4 says

Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart,

In order to receive our desires we have to take pleasure in pleasing God. Don't mistake His grace and mercy as His will. There is a specific path and plan God has for each person but do we desire His plan or ours?

So I all ask again, are you selfish?

We have so many things or people competing for our attention such as family, friends, hobbies, passions, our vices, work social media, streaming, tv, and movies etc.

There is always something that is quietly or loudly calling our name but in the mist of all this How is your prayer life? How is your study life? We will always have something or someone who needs us but have you ever though about God needing you?

Over the years I begin to pray, "Lord, give me a thirst for you and your word." "Lord I want to know you differently." As noticed the more I prayed these prayers in various forms I begin to feeling the Holy Spirit pulling at my heart.

I was curious about Him.

I wanted to go beyond what I was taught or what what I heard. I wanted to know Him and His word for myself. There is power in His word that even God himself magnifies it.

Psalms 138:2

I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

His word shows us His character and His heart, we begin to discovery the different names of God, we discovery His personality , we discover Him,

Be curious about Him and discover your Heavenly Father.

Hosea 4;6

My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.

My prayer and hope is simple with this series:

We see the humanity of Jesus
We see the love and sacrifice before the cross
We see that we have a way to combat the enemy during any temptation
Lastly, we have a Savior that empathizes with us in all things.

There is no greater love than the love of our Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus.

We sing or say to the Lord, "for your glory I will do anything? but will we?

Jesus tells us in order to follow Him, we must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow HIm.

But can we say that in the mist of temptation not just any temptation... but the very thing you have prayed for. It looks like any answered prayed but it is from the enemy himself.

vs 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?

Are we willing to wait and go through the sanctifying process in order to be like Christ? or Will we take shortcuts that ultimately led to our fall.

As we explore the second temptation. I got stuck on why? Why did Christ allow the enemy to carry Him away? Why would Christ, who is more powerful than the tempter be carried away by him. Jesus knew he would only see evil from the devil so why did he dare I day entertain it?

Yes, Christ was man but yet He was still powerful. He could have instructed the enemy from the beginning to leave and never return. But I want us to think about why Jesus went through these different temptations.

Can you see yourself in Christ? He was carried away by the tempter knowing that it was no good. Were you ever curious about certain temptations? Desire to explore something that was from your flesh?

Let’s not read this as another bible story we have heard before. Let’s mediate on the scripture and see Christ. See His meekness, see His sacrifice, see how he responded to the enemy in this moment of weakness.

The Son without Sin

Have you ever thought about what does a life without sin look like?

As a kid I thought temptation and sin were the same but as I grew I learned the truth. I didn’t have anyone tell me that sin and temptation are 2 different things but I did learn if I follow temptation it will lead to sin.

Jesus was tempted throughout His life but yet he did not sin. How? I followed the guidance of the Holy Spirit and quoted scriptures. He called things as they were.

In this 4 part series we will discuss through scriptures the temptation of Christ after His 40 day fast. We will see what the enemy said in an attempt to pull Jesus away from His purpose and make God to be a liar.

But JESUS BEING JESUS!!! Gave us perfect examples on how to fight against the enemy and not fall into any fleshly desires.

In the Enduring Word Commentary is states, “The peace of God: This is the peace spoken of in Philippians 4:7. It is beyond “all mind”; that is, beyond our power of thinking.

i. “What is God’s peace? The unruffled serenity of the infinitely-happy God, the eternal composure of the absolutely well-contented God.” (Spurgeon)”

Can you imagined being in an eternal state of being unruffled!! Unbothered!! And being in the presence of “ the eternal composure of the absolutely well-contented God.

I absolutely enjoy the way Spurgeon described God’s peace. After reading this description it gave me a better understanding of why I just want to feel His peace all the time. I can not stand when I am anxious. I just want to feel His peace.

Can we live a life with only peace and with no anxiety or fear in life? Possibly. In order for any of us to live or experience “the peace of God the surpasses all understanding”, we have to live in faith.

According to Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

The more I move in faith the bigger my expectation is regarding God's peace. We will have issues in life that will try to rob us of God's peace but we have to stay desiring to feel His peace even when chaos is all around.

Money is not the root of evil BUT The LOVE of money is the root of all KINDS of evil accord to 1 Timothy 6:10

This scripture has been misquoted so many times which has led to false teachings or beliefs around money. Money is a resource that God has allowed us to use to obtain the things we need and want here on earth. Unfortunately, money continues to be center of too many preachers or pastors messages instead of Christ. Sometimes we paint God like a genie that will grant our wishes to obtain wealth. We have lost the beauty of teaching Christ Center message or how my mom would “ teach Christ crucified.”

Money has its place but it should not be worshipped. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:24 “ No man can serve tow masters: for either he, will hate the one, and love the other: or else. He will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Side note: mammon means the god of money or money.

When we serve an idol we begin to transform ourselves for it. Our character changes to please it.

Have you ever heard the saying “money changes people.” Truth is money is a spotlight. Whatever was in you prior to financial increase will be magnified after.

Money is not bad , it is a tool or a resource but we have to stop putting all of our hopes and dreams into it. Have you ever said “The moment I have “x” amount of money, I’ll finally be able to do “xyz”? We can’t keep putting all of our hope in this man made paper.

There is a line between financial wisdom and financial worship. Check your heart.

When you are free from money that is when you can truly walk in financial wisdom which will please and honor God.

Time is a hot commodity. It seems like everyone wants your time, including the algorithm. LOL. These major tech companies have creates systems to make you stay on websites longer, social platforms longer because they know the longer you stay on the better. I am not here to bash technology because it is a great tool but I am aware that they want our time.

Time is precious, we can’t reverse it, can get it back… nothing. Yes you may feel young again or the Lord has restored so much that you feel nothing has been lost. Wow what a blessing! But time is far more valueable than gold.

How people have lost a loved one and said “I would give everything to spend so more time with them!” That is a strong statement. God has graces us to experience 24 hours on a daily basis. A large chunk of it, is spent asleep and working but where is our time with God? Have we carved out intentional time to rest in our Father’s arms.

God created the heavens and the earth, and on the 7th day He rested and saw it was good. Do you rest in Him and reflect on HIs goodness? Reflected on the things you have created?

Spending time with God has to be more than asking Him of things or venting but resting (trusting) in His time, season and power.

Welcome to 2023!! We are so excited that God has graced us to see another year. Whatever you are desiring and expecting from God this year, ask for His wisdom and strength. You never want your blessing to become an idol, a distraction or possibly be consumed you. In time we are living in, we need His wisdom and strength.

We can no longer think we can google our way out of problems. We have to lean on our wonderful counselor... Christ himself.

Truthfully it is easy to think that we can live this life without the strength of God. Isn't that what every article says. 5 ways to overcome_______ OR 11 steps for a better life. The list goes on. We are constantly bombarded by information that leads us to excluded the wisdom and strength of God.

Family we need Him. In every aspect of our lives. We need the Holy spirt to fill us and consume us. These battles we are facing can not be won through our strength but by His.

Zechariah 4:6

So he answered me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by strength or by might, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord of Armies.

Philippians 2:13 (AMP)

13 For it is [not your strength, but it is] [a]God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.

Lets us Pray!! Mental health is nothing to overlook or minimize. But we can not allow it to become our identity. Let’s pray for people to become whole through faith and instructions guided by God.

Distraction come in all shapes and sizes. Some distractions are valid excuses that most will understand and justify. Distractions may appear to be good for you by the way it is clothed in traditions or norms. Distractions may appear like relaxtion when you should be working and justify your action with some form of reasoning.

Distractions may not always appear bad but the point of it is to move you slowly but surely away from the purpose at hand.

As believers, we do not operate from conventional wisdom but only the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God instructs us to......"5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Acknowledging God in all things, all your decisions or choices will keep you on the right path.Distractions come to get you off course. To delay your promises, to make you feel like I have wasted to much time.

Get focused on today!!

Today is here and now. Today is ordained and orchestrated by God himself. But have you asked Him about His plan on today? Not that big plan for your life but just today?

Jesus instructs us, “not worry for tomorrow, for it has its worries of its own.” Those who are mature in the faith have to wrestle with becoming focused on the will of God. Jesus said more than once in the Bible, “I must be about my father business”

Don’t get distracted. Acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Don't get distracted.

Season 2 Esp 11. The Cost of Being Chosen

Being “chosen” is a choice. When you heard the voice of the Lord to become His child, you accepted that invitation. Maybe you did it privately at home, car, work or an unusual place. Maybe it was public, at a revival church service or in prayer. Where ever you where saved and what got you to that place, you made the decision to be chosen.

Being chosen by God sounds great and grand, somewhat like a mystery. We have often narrowed chosen as your purpose but it’s truly is you being saved. You have accepted Him, no what?

Being chosen comes with self-disciple, responsibilities that is usually not glamorous or desired. Only a few will walk down the path of being chosen. Being chosen means I choice to accept the will of the Lord for my life. I want to represent Him on earth. I want to bring more people into the kingdom of God. It’s more than having the key to eternal life but following Christ while here on earth.

Being chosen is realizing that a you were made to fight and conquer any demonic presence in your life through Christ Jesus. I encourage you, all of us to discover God more. Learn as much as possible about Him, His ways, desires, truth and promises. What does it cost to be chosen ?

I remember this simple song from my childhood. It was a simple, catchy song that I loved to hear the older saints sing. They would become so excited singing about faith. As a child I didn’t understand the power of this song or the reference but as an adult I get it!!

Jesus told us if you have a faith the size of a mustard size you can tell a mountain to move and it will.

He is telling us speak to what seems impossible to turn it into possible. But how?

You have faith but you haven’t seen your desired results.

There are two areas I want you to examine in yourself.

1.Patience

What your are desiring with come to past but you have to let patient works

James 1:4

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

2.Unbelief. I believe but help my unbelief.

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [c]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Faith is life. Faith is an action. Faith needs to be watered on a consistent basis. We water our faith through prayer, fasting and action.

God wanted me to encourage someone on today. I want you to understand that you are more than enough. He has created you to be someone that a will leave a positive impact on this world. Right now you may feel like all hope is gone or your are barely holding on to it. This is not an encouragement to dismiss or ignore what you have gone through that is currently running your life. NOR is it meant to dismiss your problems of today. Rather this encouragement is to let you know that this is not all of you!!

Your identity comes from God. You are a reflection of God.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

He knew before your mother knew you.

Jeremiah 1:5

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

You had an imitate relationship with God before you were birth!! That is powerful!!

He knows what your life is and going to be . He even knows your expected end.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!”

If you’re feeling hopeless…. That is not God. That is not Him punishing you. That is a demonic attack.

Proverbs 13:12

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

God is a fulfiller. He has no plans for us to live a life without hope. Without being fulfilled. So where is the disconnection? Simple answer: lack of faith.

Yes, it is layers to it but to boil everything down. Somewhere doubt, mistrust, lack of hope, anger or something is sitting in the place where faith is suppose to reside.

I want to encourage you that you are more than enough because of Christ Jesus. Please open you heart for you to be transformed and the Lord expose any areas of unbelief.

"Tell them I am that I am sent you". This is such a powerful statement from God to Moses. Even as a child that scripture would pierce my heart and I always wondered "what does that a truly mean."

I would hear preachers talk about the many titles that Lord has and they would preach the church down!! I can hear a preacher say " I am you provide, I am your healer, I am your rock , I' am your redeemer!!" They would go on and on. While this is all true and I still had the same question. What does it truly mean?

I came across a video reaction of Tiffani Montgomery talking about this topic. I am.

She said the original Hebrew definition says "it came to past." When I heard that I was immediately intrigued. I researched my strong's concordance commentary and that's exactly what it said. WOW!!!!

She made point to tell us 'guard your words". When we say the words "I am" we are telling something to come to past.

This statement is prophetic.

Whenever Jesus said I am, he only spoke the truth of who is was, which was followed by a promise. And it came to past.

Forgiveness is far more challenging than what we realize. We might say the words “I forgive you” but is there still hurt left. Forgiveness is not options for believers. It is a requirement. Jesus made it plain and simple in Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Our father in Heaven won’t forgive us if we don’t forgive. What!!! So we can’t hold on to grudges. If we do, it contradicts the scripture when God says “….Vengeance is mine “ in Romans 12:19.

Being unforgiving is controlling and if you are not aware it can become your god. You begin to change your faith/beliefs system based on unforgiving. You have made a vow to never work with someone like your old boss. Unforgiving. You have vowed to never date anyone that looks like your ex. Unforgiving. You refused to let go of the past and forgive again because that is your form of wisdom which is your protection blanket from being vulnerable.

I hope you see where I am going. Christ commands us to forgive. There is a no discussion about that but we also must remember it is our job to free ourselves from any residue from the past. Let’s discuss 4 steps to become free from being unforgiving.

We are not defeated!! We are overcomer by the blood of the lamb and the words of our testimony. You have to declare to yourself “My issues don’t define me!” Here is the truth…. they do not define you. Whatever you are facing or have faced, these moments in time are apart of your testimony. They are not who are you.

It is easy to succumb to life’s ups and downs which can allow us to become hopeless in the process.

Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

Don’t lose hope! Don’t have the “It is what it is” mentally. This mindset comes in when we have prayed and the results are taking long. Maybe, you keep seeing that same things happens without any signs of progress. A negative perspective is from the enemy. God will allow us to see or discern turret but yet still have joy, hope, peace and expectation. When you have lost any of these, I want you to understand the enemy is clouding your vision. You are not defeated, You are joy!!!

As we end this series of Receive or Reject? We are discussing the heart of our Father. I am concerned that a vast majority of us do not know God’s heart. Well, how could we? So much of what is taught in the church is bout receiving blessings from God. Praying consistently for material things but not spiritual understanding or growing in His character.

The heart of our Father is Christ Himself. This is why we need to preach, teach and learn Christ. He is our perfect living example of God’s love. By studying the word of God, prayer, fasting and worship, we can learn who God truly is.

To learn of Him, is to seat with Him. To learn more of Him, is to study and practice humility. To learn Him is to see and seek Him not just His hand but His heart. Do you know Him? What version do you have of Christ? What version of God do you speak of? What box have you placed the Holy Ghost in because of lack of understanding.

Seek God first in all things. Seek Him and everything else will be added unto

As we continue our conversation of the prodigal son, I want us to look at ourselves as having a little bit of his ways. You may not identify with being a full "prodigal son" but you have may have some characteristics. LOL.

Our growth in Christ is about constantly looking at ourselves and be willing to change. When you see someone has returned to the faith, don't be so quick to judge. You may not completely leave but they are some areas in your life where you have decided that you will do it your way. NOT GOD"S WAY but YOURS.

If we are honest, we all have done this. We all have said give me what belongs to me and did not include our Father in the process. The prodigal son was tempted by his own ambition and desires. He did not understand or appreciate what it really meant to be in the kingdom.

We are continuing our discussion about the Prodigal son but we want to focus on the older brother.

The older brother was faithful and dependable. He followed his father's commands. He didn't complain, he worked for years but yet when his little brother came back, bitterness came with it. The older brother was focused on being the obedient child, he missed the importance of who he was. He was always with his father and had access to the entire kingdom but yet he didn't see it.

Are you the dependable one? The faithful church member? The servant child? Everyone can depend on you but yet you don't feel seen or appreciated? You may wonder where is my party or better yet... where are my blessings? Let's talk.

If you have been in church for more than a day, I'm pretty sure you have heard a teaching or preaching about "the prodigal son". This parable can be found in Luke 15:11-32, I encourage all of us to reread this as often as possible to gain greater understanding.

Most of the teachings I have heard encouraged the "wayward" child to come back to God while encouraging that soul " your father is standing there waiting with open arms".

While Yes, God always has His arms open waiting for any of us to back to our rightful position but there is more!

In this 4 part series I want us to break down each position in this parable:

The over aching view point
The older brother
The younger brother (prodigal son)
Our Father.

In each podcast, I want you to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you and find which child are you? Once the Lord reveals truth, repent and walk towards your Heavenly Father's heart and become transformed.

Welcome back!! I'm excited to be back with you discussing and learning from the word of God. This season we will focus on the words of Christ, what did Jesus say? It is imperative that we know and live by the words of Christ.

Matthew 5:4 Says "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"

This statement is apart of Jesus's teaching and when I read this the first thought is why would those who mourn be considered blessed.

Mourning happens when you have loved something or someone beyond yourself. As I meditated on this scripture the Holy Spirit posed this thought " maybe we are called blessed because now we understand God more. Maybe we understand God a little more to lose someone to death.

John 3;16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son......

When the Bible says let us make man in "our likeness" a part of that likeness was emotions, thoughts and feelings. Remember Jesus cried , Jesus spoke to God and tried to negotiate... Matthew 26:39 My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me.

The pain Christ endure was heavy , he desired the course to change but He accepted the perfect will of HIs father.

Mourning is not easy but there is always hope in Christ Jesus.

As I draw this season to an end!! WOW I can’t believe season one is here and done. Please pray for me as I prepare for season 2 and as I follow God. I'm standing in faith that we are coming back stronger in season 2. My goal is to grow and give God glory. I want people to find Christ and others to grow in Christ.

I have been on a personal journey NOT to be a church girl but a follower of Christ. I can not confine my walk with Him only to my experiences in the four walls of the church. I am not church bashing because I do believe that church is good. BUT I understand that God is more than Sunday morning service.

I truly want to make Him the center of my life and I understand that is a life long journey. That doesn't happen overnight but it happens as we walk with Him. He will reveal to us the areas where Christ is not the center and He gives us opportunities to change that narrative.

I' ve realized over the years how the Lord begin to gentle move me more and more in His will. The more I believe and followed , the centered He became. Is Christ the center of your life?

You are not alone in this walk, you have a sister in Christ that is actively praying for the blessing of God to rain down over His children. I am actively praying for souls to be saved, I am praying for your freedom through Christ Jesus.

Stay encouraged to walk another day, Stay encourage to overcome and tackle any fear. Stay encourage to stay at the feet of God, stay encourage to read your word and ask God to transform you! Stay encourage.

6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Pride comes in many forms it's not just boisterous, loud or obnoxious but sometimes its be silent and appear as gentle. Have you ever thought not wanting to be rejected is pride. Having lack of patience..pride. Pride keeps us form living in the fullness of God. Pride will not allow us to come into new knowledge...only if it presented a certain way.

What's keeping you from growing is the quiet but fierce voice of pride.

Proverbs 16;18 says Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall

The Lord is so gracious where he give us warning and taps on our shoulder to open our eye to ourselves but do we listen. If you have been praying for something and wondering why it has happened check you heart, pride could be there.

I know I am talking about judging again.... but there is a reason. I feel that we as believers pride ourselves on being the world's moral compass which in turn allows us to be the "judge" of the world.

Somewhere along the line the body of Christ has become comfort with speaking in judgment in not in love and grace. That needs to stop!! Can we righteously judge? what does that even mean? Well, let's dive in.

I said Yes to Him!!!!! I said Yes to His Love. Yes to His Grace! Yes to Forgiveness and Power! I said Yes!! But what did I say yes too? When we ask Jesus to be the Lord of our lives, we receive so much from Him. We know that we could never truly repay Christ for all that He has done but He did give us instructions when following Him.

Matthew 16:24-26

24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

Jesus said He wants not only our lives but also we must deny ourselves. Take up your cross. When I said yes to Christ , there was an exchange.. if I knew it or not. I gave Him my life for eternal life. I gave Him my ambitions to take on His calling. I gave Him my entire heart with all of it's broken pieces, holes and bruise so He may mend it. I gave Him my insecurities for His assurance.

There is an exchange that happens when we say yes. There's a cross we must bare, there is a releasing of "self' to live in the fullness of God.

We have all heard this scripture stated and proclaimed within our faith. I have heard it my entire life but the emphasis was on "I" instead of Christ Can we do all things through Christ? Yes!! As long as it is ordained and glorifies Christ. If I am proclaiming that I can do all things through Christ, I might want to check with Him first...... you know just to make sure this decision is apart of His perfect will. God do you want me to do this?

I think it is great we use this as a declaration to encourage ourselves in the Lord. Also, we must be mindful of it becoming a mantra that loses the focus of Christ.

It is Christ who has all power, grace, mercy, love and truth. It is Christ who has redemptive power.

Paul was suggesting that in circumstances I can over come because of Christ. He understood that it is not his strength but it was Christ strength that allow him to continue in his journey. He was on a Christ mission. Are you? So, I will ask again Can you do all things through Christ?

Sooooooo I'm a little bothered! Here is the truth, we as humans like to share our opinions in some way or another, which is fine but what happens when our opinion is presented as facts regarding interpreting the word of God? This is what bothers me. It bothers me when we use our opinion or bias as God's facts. This can cause confusion, help feed others ignorance or worse, lead people away from God.

Unfortunately not all believers have pure agendas. Some want a certain group of people to succeed while not truly uplifting others.

We have to check our bias and we have to check our hearts. Here I am asking, "where are God's warriors?"

The one that will preach, teach or live the word of God without a hidden agenda. Their desire is to operate in the spirit of love and be His vessel here on earth. Where are the people who will not shy from hearing and speaking truth even if the truth will hurt their feelings?

There is a group of people whose heart's mission is only to glorifying God. It's time to be vocal and seen.

Get in the fight warrior!

In this episode let's talk about who is in our corner. Our team, family, friends who ever God has called to walk with you is extremely important. When Christ was preparing the disciples of what was to come he explained that they will be persecuted and every one will not believe BUT they must stay strong to mission of spreading the gospel.

Christ himself needed to the prophets and John the baptist to prepare the way for Him. After the death and resurrection of Christ the disciples where needed to continue to spread the good news.

With all this being said, if Christ needed people why do we feel like we don't. God realized that Adam needed Eve

Genesis 2;18 The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

A weapon that I see often used against the body of Christ is the " I don't need anyone mindset" or " I'm good by myself" mentality. Of course these are not the spiritual terms found in the Bible but you understand what I am saying. LOl.

But really.... we can't be a one person island and we can't ignore the people God has assign to help while holding on to those that we need to be free of.

So I'll ask again who is in your corner?

Today let's prayer but not pray about anything but specifically give thanks. Thanks to God for all that He has done and all that He will do.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Give thanks in all things, give thanks in the good and challenging moments. Give thanks. I'm not asking you to ignore the challenges or difficult moments in your life. Im asking you to find hope and rejoice that God provided us a way of escape. He will not place on you more than you can bear. Let's give thanks.

I Corinthians 10;13

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

This episode I just want to speak from my heart about our ability to choose Hope. 24/7 News cycles to social media can leave you hopeless and breed unnecessary insecurities that does not come from God. We have to find reminders of who God is. Find a way to reminder yourself and others about His love even in less than favorable outcomes. Our hope is not based in what we want but based in who Christ is. You have to find your reminder. Can you still have hope in what appears to be a hopeless situation. What if you don't get the job? Will you still believe that God's will is perfect? Find a way to reminder yourself of your perfect Heavenly Father.

Resting in our Father's arms in beautiful and yet scary. I know that I am protected but I know that I have to let go of control. When we rest in God which is trusting in Him, we are letting go of our plans, thoughts, ideas and even desires to take on His. When we relinquish all of who we are and take on God's character it is transformative and it's rewarding.

Romans 12;2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We have to be transformed and I believe this transformation is a lifetime process. I get excited thinking about the possibility of becoming better. Becoming more like Christ. We have to make up our minds that we will give God the glory in our lives and in what we do. But first, we must know His promises. What He has in store for us, what joy we can live in regardless of what life throws at us. There is so much in God but are willing to do the work to seek and tell others about it. We can't keep this to ourselves.

As we conclude the last part of this series I hope you have gained something about knowing the promises of God. This is a spiritual weapon that will keep us at His feet and doing His will. The promise of God guard our hearts and strengthen our minds. the promises of God order our footsteps into the abundant life we were promises through. Christ Jesus.

OHHHH, this episode is different. This episode we will actively go down paths where we have been told lies about ourselves and our faith. These are not lies we have dismissed but rather lies that have shaped us. Lies that look like truth, comfort, or tradition that has actually kept us from living in the promises of God.

What are these lies? Strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Strongholds have kept you captive, it has blocked out God's truth because stronghold masks itself as truth, comfort and righteousness.

The promises of God shape us and give us hope. It gives us guidance and the ability to decipher what is truth. But do we know the promises? The Bible is full of God's promises, what He has spoken and we know what God speaks has to come to past.

“God is not a man, that He should lie,Nor a son of man, that He should repent.Has He said, and will He not do?Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good

Numbers 23:19

So if we know that God does not lie or change His mind why do we waver on that He has spoken. We face day distractions that keep from living fulling in Christ. Over the next 3 episodes we will discuss "live in His promises"

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

With everything that is going on in the world it is easy for us to forget the goodness of God. It’s easy for us to become overall but life and the worlds problems. As we pray for this world , pray for every leader in power to turn their heart towards God, I want us to keep a heart of praise. As we become more active in our communities, jobs, politics or any area. Let’s keep a heart of praise. Praise is a weapon but that weapon has to be formed in the Goodness of God. Never forget who He is.

There is so much to learn of God. I truly believe that we will never "arrive" in Christ meaning that we know it all. We don't and we won't which is a good thing. We can not handle the pressures that come with knowing every detail about life and this world. I personally love that because it gives me a sense of peace. It allows me to focus on what I am required to know and do. But even in my personal journey I need to gain His knowledge. I can not lean on me understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6) even if it is a well educated one.

God knows the very detail of all things at all times, so why not seek the one who is all knowing. Be curious of God's knowledge which is His wisdom. The bible says in

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him

God desires to give His wisdom to all who ask, not some but all. Have you asked lately of His wisdom? Do you know what the beginning of wisdom?

Can Worry Be My Fuel? Unfortunately worrying is a part of our lives, more than what we would like. Christ tells us in Matthew 6:19-34 not to worry, if your father in heaven will take care of the birds in the air, how much will he care for you? While I believe that Christians know this, I also believe it's hard to release worry.

What if we change our perspective and use worry for our benefit. Not allowing us to be consumed or condemned but allow it to make us get closer to God. Maybe the worry will be alleviated by becoming a proactive person. Seeking His wisdom and strategy. Allow this to reveal some areas where you battle unbelief. Mark 9:23-25 ,

23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

We have to cry to our father and say "Lord, I believe but help my unbelief". Worry can move your humility. Voice your unbelief , voice your concerns and watch your Heavenly Father work on your behave.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

It is a privilege and an honor to be a light in darkness but let's be real... it's overwhelming which cause a lot of us to not want to be seen. Trust me a I get it. Step out into the world to let your light shine is a faith walk!! Most of us are fine with impacting those immediately around us but God is calling for more. If you like it or not people are watching you. They are watching how your faith aligns with your actions and words. They watch how you treat others, they watch how courageous you are.

Who's watching you? Here the truth the more you walk in God, there will be more people who will watch you, some to be negative but a lot are drawn to your light. They are drawn to Christ who resides in you, there is freedom in letting your light shine. There is freedom to reveal the spirit of God in all areas. Let's your light shine because you don't know who's watching you.

How can praise be our weapon? For some of us we have heard the story of the Children of Israel and the wall of Jericho.

15 On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times.c 16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!

How about Paul and Silas prayer and singing so hard it cause a earthquake and freed them from prison!

Acts 16: 25 says

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

There are so many examples of praise being more than just a loud noise or fast break praise music. Praise commands and shifts our very atmosphere. Let's talk about it.

Life as a believer is a rewarding life, we have direct access to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. When we accepted Christ as our personal Savior we had gain access to a free and victorious life. Our victory doesn't come by our works but it come through our faith. Believing in what He died for and believing in what He reigns over. Our faith in Christ makes us victorious. God can give you natural strategy on how to live a life of victory. This does not mean you will never experience pain or hardship but it means even if your darker moment you have VICTORY. CHRIST IS VICTORY.

Do you know that when you accepted Christ, you became FREE!! FROM ALL THINGS!!! You don't have to earn it, turn around 3 times.. slap your neighbor 15 times. LOL!!! Christ makes you free. All you have to do accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

I get it you are a believer but you don't feel free. Trust me I know that feeling, I lived there too long but I had to go beyond what I felt or saw but stand on what He promised. Focus on what God promised but in order to know that, you have to abide in His Word.

John 8: 31-36

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”

34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Live free in Christ and never look back.

OOOOHHH! This judgmental spirit has ran rampant for far too long and too far in the body of Christ. I am not saying that we are not to determine what is wrong or right but I am concern by the heart posture of us as believers when we cast opinions.

Let our mouths (words) always reflect the love and the compassion of Christ even when we have to speak uncomfortable truths. Before you say anything , check your heart. Are words going to led to a better relationship with Christ or will it intentionally leave someone wounded and hurt. Who are you judging?

Meditation is a our right as believers! Never shy away from taking time to " rest" in the scripture by allowing the Holy Spirit to expose you to yourself. This happens in worship and this also happens when we intentionally mediate on His word.

Take a moment and reflect on the goodness of God. Are you smiling? Do you feel His joy and peace. Yes! I know I do!

Let's take the next 15 minutes to stop and settle our minds to think on the Breath of God.

“The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Psalms 139;14 (TPT) . "I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord!!

WOW!! This is something to celebrate!! How thoroughly God knows us. He made us unique and complex but I am wondering have we accepted this truth. Or have we decided that being complex and unique causes too much attention, takes too much effort. Or maybe you feel you weren't designed that way. I beg to differ!!

We are made in the very image of God! (Genesis 1:27). We as mankind are still trying to verbalize our creator and what He truly means to us. Words can not describe the totality of God and yet here we are accepting that we are simple and not divine. We are His creations and His children so we are far more unique and complex than what we realize. Let's talk!

Our perspective has been molded by much more than we think. Our family, beliefs, cultural or even one memorable situation that happened one time in our lives. We’ve been taught to be more optimistic… look on the brighter side of life. Or maybe you have been praised for your ability to be a pessimist because you are “keeping it real”. As believers, I’m asking for us to examine both side of the perspective coin and ask Does my perspective align with God? Let’s jump in as we dive into the question “Is our perspective healing or killing us? “

I’m reminded of an old hymn “Draw me nearer” while this song may not be as popular as it once was but our plea is still true. Daily we are faced with the idea of having the perfect formula to succeed but we as believers can never forget the “drawing” of God. The leading of the Holy Spirit.

In John 6:44, Christ said “no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him and I will raise him up at the last day

In our consistent conversation with Christ we have to ask to be drawn. Draw us closer to You. Draw us closer to Your love. Draw us closer to Your power of healing and truth. Draw us closer to a Godly understanding that yields peace and hope.
