'Now Playing on Bridge Street' explores the coming week's programming at Phoenixville's Colonial Theatre. The iconic theatre, a member-supported, nonprofit, operates three distinct venues and multiple event spaces in two adjoining historic buildings. Known internationally as the mother of Blobfest which annually celebrates the theatre’s role in the 1958 sci-fi classic, The Blob, the Colonial attracts more than 70,000 patrons per year to its eclectic programming of popular, new movies, beloved film favorites, live music, comedy and community events.

Beginning this Friday, October 7:
- See two new feature releases: the David Bowie biopic Moonage Daydream and the romantic comedy Bros
- Laugh with ‘clean’ comedian Jeff Allen this Friday on his 2.0 Tour OR experience a special stripped back version of People’s Light & Theatre’s new play Mushroom.
- Then on Saturday, celebrate animated storytelling with Kiki’s Delivery Service and a special appearance with game designer and poet Nina Freeman, who’ll talk about her work at ‘Making Games Intimate(ly)’ OR revisit the movie musical Cabaret with a special, 50th anniversary screening.
- Enjoy a Sunday afternoon classic film screening of Young Frankenstein OR learn how Malvern residents are fighting development on a former toxic industrial site at a screening of Bishop Tube with discussion led by its Director, Alex Djordjevic
- Celebrate Witch Wednesday with Practical Magic and
- Enjoy a live, solo performance from Rufus Wainwright on Thursday.
