In this episode, the host, Chetta Like Money, opens up about the war between flesh and spirit — those moments when exhaustion, frustration, and self-doubt try to take over. Drawing from Scripture, personal reflection, and divine insight, she walks through what it means to wrestle with God like Jacob, to limp with grace, and to find holiness in the chaos of everyday life.

This is a call to stop numbing out and start noticing where God is still moving, even in the middle of the mess.

Key Scriptures:

  • Genesis 32:22–32 — Jacob wrestles with God.
  • Romans 7:15–25 — Paul’s tension between flesh and spirit.
  • Psalm 13 — “How long, O Lord?”
  • Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all you who are weary…”

Takeaways:

  • Your anger and exhaustion are not sins — they’re signals.
  • Wrestling with God is still being with God.
  • Grace can meet you even when discipline slips.
  • Rest is not a reward; it’s a requirement.

Listen if you’re:

  • Running on fumes and calling it faith.
  • Feeling like you’ve lost your rhythm with God.
  • Trying to reconcile being spiritual and human at the same time.

Tagline for promotion: “Don’t hit snooze on your spirit — wake up before the world does.”

In today's episode, the host, Chetta Like Money, discusses some of the ways God is redirecting her life. In the wave of social media, we have leaned so much on "reinventing" and "rebranding," but what about simple pivots that simply just redirect us on the same journey and / or to the same destination? You wouldn't crash into a barricade that says, "Road Closed Ahead," so why keep going down a road that keeps presenting obstacles or is no longer safe?

Allow God to redirect you. You're still gonna get there.

We are not here to build for God without being with God.

This episode is for the one who’s been moving, creating, executing… but hasn’t been still. The one who’s been trying to steward the vision, but forgot that intimacy comes before impact. You may not be lost — just loud. Not faithless — just overstimulated.

And in the middle of all the chaos, headlines, and hustle, this is your gentle — yet firm — reminder: Don’t build without the whisper. Don’t market what you haven’t prayed through. Don’t confuse momentum with anointing. Don’t hit play before you get still.

📖 Scriptures Referenced / Reflected On:

  • 1 Kings 19:11–13 (The Whisper)“After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper…”
  • Luke 10:38–42 (Martha vs. Mary)“Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed… Mary has chosen what is better.”
  • John 15:5 (Abiding in the Vine)“Apart from Me, you can do nothing.”
  • Isaiah 26:3 (Perfect Peace)“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”
  • Romans 12:2 (Transformed, not just informed)“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
  • Proverbs 3:5–6 (Direction from God)“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Resources / Support Mentioned:

  • Consecration over Consumption: If you’re feeling spiritually dizzy, consider what God may be inviting you to give up temporarily to make room for His voice. Fasting isn’t always about food. Sometimes it’s attention. Sometimes it’s distraction.
  • Reflection Prompt:
    • What have I been building that I haven’t surrendered?
    • What noise is keeping me from hearing the whisper?
    • Am I letting culture disciple me more than Christ?
  • Your “Yes” is enough: Whether you're behind schedule, burned out, or battling perfectionism—God’s not waiting on a polished performance. He’s waiting on your weary, real, surrendered yes.

🎧 Listen If You’ve Been…

  • Struggling to focus in a world of alerts, texts, and timelines
  • Trying to carry something God told you to steward
  • Caught between your brand and your Bible
  • Feeling the spiritual shift but don’t know what to do with it
  • Needing a soft place to land that still tells you the truth

In this week’s episode of Don’t Hit Snooze, Cachetta Chére reminds us that obedience doesn’t always require an hour, a full strategy, or even a clear path — just five minutes of intention.

She opens up about personal resistance, delays, and the weight of stewarding a mantle while still figuring things out in real time. Through a raw and timely word, Cachetta reintroduces a message she's carried for over a year: the 5-Minute Demo — a short, sacred act of obedience that demonstrates your devotion, even when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unqualified.

Whether you’re a mom, a multi-hyphenate, or just someone trying to stay afloat in this season, this episode is your reminder that small still counts. You’re not behind. You’re just being asked to move faithfully, even if it’s just for five minutes.

🧾 In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • The difference between a demo and a devo
  • How to stop spiraling and start stewarding
  • Why your drafts, dreams, and delays aren’t disqualifiers
  • A faith check and affirmation to help you start small
  • Practical 5-minute “demos” to bring momentum back into your day

📖 Scriptures Referenced:

  • Luke 16:10 (NIV)

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…”

  • Psalm 63:1 (NLT)

“O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.”

  • Zechariah 4:10 (NLT)

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…”

  • Colossians 3:23 (ESV)

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…”

Key Quote from Cachetta Chére:

“A 5-minute demo says: God, I don’t need a crowd. I just need to prove I’m still in it with You.

🙌🏽 Your 5-Minute Demo Challenge:

This week, do one small act of faithfulness — not for applause, not for perfection, just to show God: “I’m here. I’m willing. I’m still showing up.”

Need a few ideas?

  • Open your Bible and read one verse aloud
  • Record a voice memo that’s been sitting on your heart
  • Clear off one small space (your kitchen island counts!)
  • Write one line in your journal or notes app
  • Pray out loud for 5 minutes — even if God’s felt quiet lately

Recorded a few days before I moved — I was in the car, on the go, and felt led to just talk.

The audio isn’t the best (bless it), but the message? Clear. Do what God told you to do. Not what makes sense to people. Not what looks polished.

It’s your life. Your story. Consult with God and keep it moving. Except when I say DON’T HIT SNOOZE — because somebody is waiting on you to do the thing… scared and all. So move.

This episode wasn’t on the schedule — but it was on time.

I’m talking about what happens when you let misaligned moments, good intentions, and endless scrolling steal your clarity, your time, and your obedience. This is for the one who’s behind, tired of pretending, and ready to stop hitting snooze on the call to show up different.

Real time. Real raw. Real reset.

→ Plus: 3 practical ways to reset with grace, not guilt.

📝 Show Notes (Long Form – for your website/email):

Topics: Obedience, distraction, spiritual discipline, and the messy middle

Scriptures Rooted In:

  • Galatians 5:22–23“The fruit of the Spirit is… self-control.”
  • Ephesians 5:15–17“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.”
  • Ecclesiastes 3:1“There is a time for everything…”
  • Proverbs 4:25–27“Let your eyes look straight ahead…”
  • Hebrews 12:11“No discipline seems pleasant at the time… but it produces a harvest…”

In This Episode:

  • The moment I realized I traded momentum for misalignment
  • How distractions dress up like “rest” but rob us of peace
  • What scrolling, aimless dating, and spiritual tiredness really cost
  • Why purpose doesn't wait for us to feel ready — and what to do when you're not
  • The hard truth: you’re not “too busy,” you’re just giving time away

💡 3 Ways to Reset When You’ve Fumbled:

1. The Redirect Rule

If you can’t go back and fix it, go forward and frame it. Pivot with purpose. Be honest, not perfect.

2. Grace-Driven Replanning

Rebuild your to-do list with what’s mission critical, not what’s performative.

3. Micro-Obedience

You don’t need a whole comeback arc. Just do one aligned thing today — and keep going.

This one’s not about content strategy or production tips. It’s about you. It’s about the moments you keep shrinking, second-guessing, and stalling not because you’re not anointed—but because you’re not "aesthetic." Not "camera ready."

In this heart-to-heart, Cachetta Chéré shares a personal reflection on how performance pressure and perfectionism almost kept this very episode from being recorded. From the tears Tyra Banks brought when she opened an ice cream shop for her mom, to the legacy we’re all being called to build despite our mess, this episode reminds you: Obedience > appearance.

You don’t need a fresh face to show up. You don’t need a clean room to be impactful. You don’t need a viral moment to be obedient.

Whether you’re building a business, healing your inner child, or simply trying not to quit—this episode is for you.

Mentioned in this episode:

  • Tyra Banks & her ice cream shop in Australia
  • Mother wounds, financial trauma, and still choosing to build
  • How to create legacy while you’re still healing
  • The lie that image = impact
  • Why your presence is still powerful, even when it doesn’t feel polished

Scriptures to sit with:

  • Zechariah 4:10 ("Do not despise these small beginnings...")
  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 ("My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.")
  • 1 Samuel 16:7 ("People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.")
  • Ecclesiastes 11:4 ("If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.")

If this episode blessed you, share it with someone who needs a reminder that they don’t have to look the part to play the part.

This isn’t a rebrand. This is a realignment. A soft launch into something deeper — not louder.

In this raw welcome-back episode, I’m sharing the truth about what it feels like to be tired in your soul... not from lack of sleep, but from carrying versions of yourself God never asked you to keep. If you’ve ever been stuck between “I’m called” and “I’m scared,” or if you’ve mistaken resistance for rest — this one is for you.

We’re talking:

  • spiritual fatigue and silent burnout
  • perfectionism disguised as preparation
  • the guilt of peace after a lifetime of struggle
  • and how God doesn’t need you to be perfect — just positioned.

📖 Scripture References:

  • Isaiah 43:19 (MSG) — “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?”
  • Matthew 6:33–34 — “Seek first the Kingdom…”
  • Romans 12:2 — “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

🙏🏾 Prayer Highlight:

“Father, make us brave enough to start again, sober enough to steward well, and grateful enough to give you glory — even in the waiting.”

✨ This episode is for the woman who:

  • has been refining and dreaming but afraid to start
  • feels behind but deeply called
  • is done with hustle culture, and ready to move with Heaven’s pace

🎧 Tune in and settle into your soft launch era. Planners, podcasts, and purpose. We’re not chasing growth. We’re chasing God.

This episode is your gentle (but firm) reminder that obedience doesn’t always come with a green light to go. Sometimes, God tells us to pause — and that can feel frustrating when we’re full of vision and momentum. But what if the pause is the protection? What if it’s preparation?

I open up about a moment I got ahead of God — and how He lovingly pulled me back to realign. We’re talking storyboarding with God, learning to rest in His timing, and why that inner itch to pivot may be a sign to sit still instead of sprint forward.

If you’ve been in a season of almost, not yet, or wait right here, this one is for you.

🔑 In This Episode:

  • The moment I knew I was out of alignment
  • Why "moving by faith" isn’t the same as moving impulsively
  • What to do when you're tempted to pivot prematurely
  • How God used a quiet correction to protect my next move
  • The power of obedience over activity
  • What storyboarding with God looks like
  • The subtle danger of good ideas vs. God instructions
  • Why stillness is strategy

📖 Scriptures Mentioned:

  • “Be still, and know that I am God.”Psalm 46:10
  • “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”Exodus 14:14
  • “Write the vision and make it plain… though it tarry, wait for it.”Habakkuk 2:2-3
  • “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”Isaiah 40:31
  • “Obedience is better than sacrifice.”1 Samuel 15:22
  • “There is a time for everything...”Ecclesiastes 3:1

📝 Take This With You:

If God told you to pause, it’s not punishment — it’s preparation. Obedience now sets the foundation for overflow later. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is... be still.

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze, I’m pulling back the curtain on something I’ve been sitting with for weeks: why my brain feels more scattered than ever… and why that might not just be "life be life-ing" but something deeper—something tender. Something sacred.

We’re talking:

  • ADHD, mommy brain, and how it’s not just in your head
  • What Dr. Gabor Maté teaches about trauma and attention, and why it hit different for me as a mom
  • How childhood stress taught me to shut down and internalize early, and how that shows up now
  • Why discipline is self-love, not punishment
  • The tension between needing rest and feeling pulled to “still be productive”
  • What this upcoming mini sabbatical is beginning to reveal about my need for maintenance over milestones

This one’s for the overwhelmed achievers. The healing daughters raising free daughters. The women wondering if it’s them—or something deeper. Come sit with me in it.

🔍 Scriptural Highlights

  • Romans 12:2 (NIV) – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...”
  • Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) – “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
  • Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG) – “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life...”
  • Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

🧠 Journal Prompt:

Where do I see the roots of my current habits—especially the ones I struggle with—showing up in my childhood story? And what would it look like to offer grace and structure to that younger version of me today?

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze, Cachetta Chére is coming for our goal-setting addiction—but with love. Because what if the problem isn’t your lack of vision, but your relationship with maintenance? 👀

We’re talking about how easy it is to feel overwhelmed by goals that look good on paper but don’t have a plan behind them. Cachetta shares real-life reflections on motherhood, personal branding, and podcasting—and how the real work is often not in the setting but in the sustaining.

We’re unpacking:

  • Why you might be addicted to “new” and allergic to “consistent”
  • What maintenance looks like in daily life (spiritually, creatively, and practically)
  • How to keep building even when nobody’s clapping yet
  • The not-so-glamorous side of building a brand or business
  • Letting go of performance and tapping into purpose

  • John 15:2 – “Every branch that does bear fruit He prunes…”
  • Proverbs 21:5 – “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance…”

I share a moment that stopped me in my scroll—and shook something in my spirit. Inspired by a Facebook friend’s vulnerable post about anxiety, uncertainty, and that mid-air freefall feeling, this conversation is less “how to” and more “me too.”

What does it mean to dream, plan, and show up when everything feels unstable? What’s the point when grief, fear, and the weight of the world won’t let up?

If you’ve been feeling stuck, spiritually foggy, or emotionally undone—this one’s for you. You’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re not alone. And no, you don’t have to have it all together to still be chosen.

Welcome to a safe space to breathe, cry, journal, and maybe even hear God a little more clearly.

📖 Scriptural Highlights:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
  • Romans 8:24–25 – “Hope that is seen is no hope at all…”
  • Matthew 6:34 – “Do not worry about tomorrow…”
  • Isaiah 40:31 – “They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”

📌 Use these verses to reflect, journal, or share on socials. They’re your anchors for the in-between.

🔁 Repeat After Me:

  • “I am allowed to feel overwhelmed. But I am not abandoned in it.”
  • “Uncertainty does not mean God forgot.”
  • “Even when I can’t see what’s ahead, I can stay faithful to what’s in front of me.”

Last night, I almost didn’t make it home. Not metaphorically—literally.

In this episode, I open up about a close call on the road that reminded me just how much God still protects, even when we're distracted, tired, or just… not all the way there. What started as a moment of exhaustion while trying to connect with my daughter turned into a divine reminder that we’re not out here alone.

I also reflect on Resurrection Sunday, the tension between celebration and commercialization, and how sometimes the sting of consumerism can cloud the sacred. But even in that—God is still speaking.

Then, I take you behind the scenes of a recent YouTube Creator Collective event I was invited to. From spilled drinks to nerves and feeling like the underdog in a room full of “somebodies,” I walked in unsure… but walked out believing I belong. Because the truth is: when God sends you, the numbers don’t matter—the calling does.

And the scripture that pulled it all together for me this week?

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” – Isaiah 6:8

This one’s for anyone feeling off, out of place, or disconnected from their assignments. You’re not done. You’re being prepared.

God’s still calling. Will you answer?

📖 Scriptural Highlights:

  • Isaiah 6:8 – “Here am I. Send me.”
  • John 11:25“I am the resurrection and the life...” (resurrection reflection context)
  • Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” (implied trust during the chaos)

🔑 Key Topics:

  • Driving while distracted and divine protection
  • Real-time grace + close-call testimony
  • Resurrection Sunday vs. Easter consumerism
  • Showing up unprepared and still being enough
  • Creator event reflections & imposter syndrome
  • Saying “yes” to God even when you feel behind
  • Encouragement to prioritize purpose again

🙏🏾 Takeaway Statement:

God’s preparation in your smaller assignments will be the saving of you in your bigger assessments. You’re not behind—you’re being built.

In today’s episode, Cachetta Chére shares a transparent moment of reflection on what it means to truly trust God's timing—especially when things feel slow, unclear, or downright unfair.

What starts as a conversation about unmet expectations turns into a deeper look at divine protection, redirection, and the discomfort of delay. When God says “not yet,” it’s not always about punishment—it’s often preparation.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever felt frustrated with where they are, questioned if they’ve missed it, or wondered why God seems to be blessing everyone else but them.

It’s a reminder: just because it’s delayed doesn’t mean it’s denied. Don’t rush the process—there’s purpose in the pause.

🔑 Key Takeaways:

  • Redirection is often protection—God blocks what you can’t see.
  • Delay doesn’t mean denial. It might mean development.
  • Sometimes God closes doors that you think make sense to open—because His view is bigger.
  • Impatience can lead to idols. Surrender leads to peace.
  • You are not behind. You’re being positioned.

📖 Scripture References:

  • Isaiah 55:8-9 — “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways…” → God’s strategy won’t always feel logical. Trust Him anyway.
  • Jeremiah 29:11 — “I know the plans I have for you…” → Even in the pause, the plan is good.
  • Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” → Don’t force clarity. Lean into faith.
  • Ecclesiastes 3:11 — “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” → You’re not late. You’re being made ready.

🧠 Reflect & Journal:

  • Where in your life are you trying to force a timeline God hasn’t confirmed?
  • Are you calling something a failure when it might just be a redirection?
  • How can you lean into preparation instead of frustration?
  • What would it look like to fully surrender the timing and outcome?

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze: The Podcast, Cachetta Chére shares a personal story from her church’s 1-year anniversary where she stepped out of her comfort zone, rapped in front of the congregation (yep, you read that right!), and experienced a powerful moment of breakthrough.

It’s not about the mic—it’s about the muzzle the enemy tries to place over our mouths through fear, insecurity, and imposter syndrome.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, you can break free. You can speak boldly. You can obey God—even when you’re scared.

This episode is a reminder that your voice is needed, and your obedience matters. Confidence doesn’t always come first—obedience does.

🔥 Key Takeaways:

  • Obedience often comes before confidence.
  • Fear is not from God—and it doesn’t get to dictate your calling.
  • Your testimony has power to break strongholds—for you and for others.
  • If you wait until you feel ready, you may never move.

✨ Scriptures Referenced:

  • 2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
  • Exodus 4:12 – “Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
  • Revelation 12:11 – “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony…”
  • Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…”

📓 Journal Prompts:

  1. What have I been afraid to say or do that I know God has called me to?
  2. In what ways has fear tried to silence me?
  3. What would my week look like if I moved boldly, trusting God over my feelings?

🧠 Reflection Questions:

  • What’s your version of the rap song moment?
  • Is your “no” rooted in fear or wisdom?
  • How could your yes free someone else?

In today’s episode, I share a simple story—one quick trip to Marshalls to grab some vitamins that turned into something unexpectedly meaningful. What started as a casual errand became a moment of divine reflection on provision, surrender, and receiving God’s goodness… even when it doesn’t make sense.

We talk about how blessings don’t always come wrapped in clarity or logic—sometimes, they’re just sitting in our cart, unscanned, unexpected, and undeserved. But does that make them any less from God?

This episode is a reminder to not overthink the blessing, to pause and reflect, and to trust that God's provision often shows up in subtle, beautiful, and unexpected ways.

🔑 Key Takeaways:

  • Every blessing doesn’t come with fireworks. Sometimes it’s small, quiet, and easy to miss.
  • You don’t have to earn God’s favor. Grace isn’t about what you deserve—it’s about who God is.
  • Control is an illusion; surrender is where peace lives.
  • Being a good steward isn’t just about what you spend—but also what you receive and how you hold it.

📖 Scripture References:

  • Matthew 6:8“Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” → Even before I noticed I was out of vitamins, God already made a way.
  • James 1:17“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.” → Don’t question every gift. Receive it with gratitude.
  • Proverbs 3:5-6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” → Stop trying to make everything make sense.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:8“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times… you will abound in every good work.” → He will supply. Unexpectedly and perfectly.

🧠 Reflect & Journal:

  • Have I been rejecting blessings because they didn’t look the way I expected?
  • What “unscanned vitamins” have shown up in my life recently?
  • Where in my life am I overthinking provision or trying too hard to be in control?
  • How can I practice surrender in small ways this week?

In this honest, reflective episode, I share a recent testimony that reminded me—God sees the small prayers. The whispery, shaky ones. The “I want to trust You, but I’m scared” ones.

I almost didn’t hit record. I’m in a season that feels heavy. Starting has been hard. Continuing has been harder. And being unmedicated right now might actually be affecting me more than I realized. But even in that fog, God met me with clarity. With provision. With a hoodie, a cold night, and a pocket full of unexpected cash. Yep, you read that right.

This one’s for the ones trying to stay consistent without all the answers. For the ones who want to trust God with their obedience and their mental health. If that’s you, I hope this episode feels like a deep breath.

💡 Key Takeaways:

  • Starting again (and again) is part of the journey. Don’t despise your day of small beginnings.
  • Trusting God financially can feel scary—but He always honors obedience.
  • You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect to honor what God’s asking you to do.
  • Health (mental, spiritual, physical) is not optional—it’s foundational.

📖 Scripture Highlights:

  • Malachi 3:10“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse... and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven…”
  • Luke 16:10“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…”
  • 1 Samuel 15:22“Obedience is better than sacrifice…”
  • Zechariah 4:10“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…”

This one isn’t polished—it’s real. In today’s short but powerful heart share, Cachetta Chére reflects on how obedience is stretching her in this season. From helping her daughter build a habit of listening and following directions to being reminded by God that she’s also being trained in trust, this episode is a reminder that:

✨ Obedience is a posture, not perfection

✨ Small starts are seeds, not setbacks

✨ God redeems the quiet seasons

✨ Discipline is an act of faith

✨ You don’t have to wait to be her—you already are

Tune in for this candid check-in and spiritual recharge as we lean into what it means to obey before the outcome, move without the full map, and show up because we know our next level requires it.

What if the words you casually say about yourself are shaping your reality more than you realize? In this episode of Don't Hit Snooze: The Podcast, we’re diving deep into the power of words—how they can heal or harm, build up or break down. Inspired by Proverbs 16:24, I reflect on the words spoken over my daughter, the ones I’ve had to reject, and the ones I’ve had to reclaim for myself. It’s time we stop playing about our words and start speaking life with intention. 📖 Episode Scripture Focus: 👉 Proverbs 16:24 – "Pleasant words are like a honeycomb: sweetness to the soul and health to the bones." 🛑 Key Takeaways: The words we say—even in passing—have power. Your soul doesn’t know when you're joking. Anything that follows "I am" should be taken seriously. We have the authority to reject and rebuke words that don’t align with God’s truth. Ever found yourself saying “yes” when you really needed to say “no”? In today’s episode, we’re getting real about why setting boundaries is so hard—and why it’s absolutely necessary for growth. From FOMO (fear of missing out) to people-pleasing, we’re unpacking the struggles that keep us from prioritizing what truly matters.

I share a firsthand lesson on how neglecting boundaries affected my podcast schedule (y’all see this episode dropping late, right?), and why protecting your time is an act of discipline, self-respect, and faith. Because let’s be real—if Jesus Himself took time away from the crowd, what makes us think we don’t need to do the same?

Tune in as we talk about:

✅ Why FOMO is not your friend (or from God)

✅ The connection between boundaries, momentum, and purpose

✅ How past trauma and people-pleasing can keep us stuck

✅ A simple mindset shift to help you say no with confidence

✅ Jesus as the example of why we need rest, prioritization, and boundaries

It's time to put action behind our priorities. Let’s get into it!

🔹 Key Takeaways

  • Boundaries protect our priorities, but we can’t set them if we don’t first identify what truly matters.
  • Fear (especially FOMO) tricks us into thinking we’re missing out when, in reality, we’re sacrificing our own growth.
  • People-pleasing keeps us stuck in cycles that don’t serve us. You’re not responsible for how people feel about your boundaries.
  • If Jesus took time away to rest and pray, so should we. Boundaries aren’t selfish—they’re biblical.

🔹 Scripture Highlights:

📖 2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

📖 Mark 1:35 – Jesus withdrew to pray, showing us the importance of intentional solitude.

📖 Proverbs 4:23 – “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

📖 Matthew 5:37 – “Let your yes be yes, and your no be no.” Boundaries = clarity.

✍🏽 Journal Prompt: What are three areas where I need to set (or reinforce) boundaries?

✍🏽 Prompt from Podcast: Mental Maintenance Mondays:

  • Mindset Clarity: Take a moment to clear your mind and think about how your thoughts can shape your life. Imagine the person you want t one and align your thinking with that vision. It's ok to "pretend" to be that person that first—this helps you start becoming who you want to be. Over time, things will start to fall into place. And write a "Letter to self."

What if the thing you're avoiding is the very thing God designed you for? Not walking in your calling is like Simone Biles deciding to quit gymnastics—it just doesn’t make sense! In this episode, we’re talking about stepping into purpose, obedience, and the cost of hesitation when God has already equipped you.

🚨 Disclaimer: This episode was recorded back in 2024 before i was SAVED saved, so excuse any language or moments that don’t quite align with where I am now. God’s still refining me! 🙌🏾

Key Takeaways:

✅ Doing the thing God called you to is not optional—it’s an assignment. ✅ Delayed obedience is still disobedience. ✅ The gifts and talents you have are meant to glorify God, not be hidden. ✅ When you don’t show up, there are people who miss out on what God placed in you for them.

Scriptures to Reflect On:

📖 Romans 11:29“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” 📖 Matthew 5:14-16“You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others.” 📖 James 4:17“So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” 📖 Exodus 4:10-12Moses tried to disqualify himself, but God reminded him that He equips those He calls. 📖 1 Corinthians 9:16“For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!”

🚨 Hey, love stop despising small beginnings. I know this might sound a little contradictory since I’ve talked about defining your Super Bowl or Olympic moment—but hear me out. If you’re only focused on that big moment, you’ll miss all the small wins that actually build up to it. Think about running a marathon. You don’t just wake up one day and run 26.2 miles. It’s the months of training, the progress along the way, the moments where you realize you’re getting stronger—that’s what gets you to race day. When you commit to the process, you become a runner. The marathon itself? That’ll happen as a result of your consistency. So instead of obsessing over the end goal, focus on the training, the growth, and stacking those small wins. That’s what truly makes the big moment possible. Faithfulness in the little things is the key to more. Success isn’t just in the big wins—it’s in the discipline, the stewardship, and the trust you build along the way.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re moving two steps forward and ten steps back, this one's for you. The big moments will come, but in the meantime, how are you becoming her? Let’s talk about it.

Episode Description:

"People love to keep you boxed in, reminding you of who you used to be, but let me tell you something, love—you do nothave to stay there. Rebranding, reclaiming, and stepping into the woman God called you to be is your business, not theirs. In this episode, we’re talking about breaking free from old narratives, letting go of past reputations, and boldly walking in the newness of God’s plan. Whether you were known as the 'mean girl,' the 'wild one,' or even the 'smart one who played it safe,' you have the power to redefine yourself on your terms. We’re not waiting for permission—God already gave it. So, let’s talk about how to own our transformation, unapologetically."

Scriptures to Reflect On:

📖 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

📖 Isaiah 43:18-19 – “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

📖 Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

📖 Philippians 3:13-14 – “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Key Takeaways:

You have permission to evolve. Your past does not define your future.

People may remember who you were, but God knows who you are and who you’re becoming.

Reclaim your identity. Whether it’s stepping into confidence, joy, or purpose, you get to decide how you show up in the world.

Rebranding isn’t fake—it’s growth. You’re not being 'fake' by changing; you’re stepping into alignment.

Ever feel like you just don’t fit in? Like you’re wired differently, and the world wasn’t built for the way your brain works? In today’s episode, I’m sharing a real-life moment that reminded me how God made us different on purpose—and how the enemy tries to use those same differences against us.

From my daughter feeling like the odd one out in ballet class to navigating life as a creative, ADHD mind, and a single mom (a.k.a. 3000 tabs open at all times 😅), I’m breaking down how we can embrace our uniqueness and use it as a strength instead of a struggle.

We’re talking about:

  • How God sees us in our uniqueness and loves us differently
  • How the enemy tricks us differently—but God loves us intentionally
  • Building routines and systems that actually work for you
  • Turning PMS/PMDD into a strategy instead of a struggle
  • Using your God-given differences to light up the Kingdom

Sis, you weren’t meant to blend in. You were made to stand out. So let’s stop fighting who we are and start stepping into who God called us to be. No more trying to fit into spaces God never called you to shrink in! Let’s talk about how we can move differently and show up boldly—just as God intended.

Scripture Highlights:

📖 Psalm 139:14 – "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (God made you different for a reason.)

📖 Jeremiah 1:5 – "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." (You were set apart before you even got here.)

📖 Romans 12:2 – "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Your uniqueness isn’t a flaw—it’s part of the plan!)

📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 – "But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’" (Your struggles can be your strength in God.)

📖 Galatians 5:22-23 – The fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control). (Discipline isn’t just about structure—it’s about spiritual alignment.)

Cachetta opens up about the struggles of feeling stuck, how life’s challenges can cloud your confidence, and why it’s time to stop sleeping on yourself. Through heartfelt storytelling and biblical wisdom, she reminds us that we’re heirs to God’s Kingdom and have an obligation to show up as the best version of ourselves.

Self-doubt has a sneaky way of creeping in, especially when you’re in the waiting season. Maybe you’ve heard God’s promise and even received confirmation, but the timing doesn’t seem right—or worse, you’re tempted to move before He says, “Go.”

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze, we dive into the wisdom of God’s timing and how self-doubt can take root when we act out of urgency instead of faith. Drawing inspiration from the story of David, we explore how he remained humble and trusted God’s timing, even when he knew he was anointed to be king.

We’ll also talk about:

  • How a false sense of urgency can lead to doubt and derail your confidence.
  • The power of worship as a weapon against fear and uncertainty.
  • What it means to live as a sacrifice and trust God’s process.
  • Why Yeshua Hamashiach’s ultimate sacrifice gives us the confidence to wait and walk in purpose.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of doubt or the pressure to act, this episode will encourage you to pause, seek God, and trust His perfect timing. It’s not just about what He’s promised you; it’s about how He’s preparing you.

Scriptures Mentioned:

  • Romans 12:1 – “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

Your trials aren't meant to break you, they're meant to shape you. And that shaping is critical to how you spend your time. God wants to shape and mold your heart to be dependent on Him but if you're in your way or only want your way, it's nearly impossible for that time to be well spent and in relationship with the One who has a plan for your life and wants to abide in you AS you abide in Him.

In this episode of Don't Hit Snooze: The Podcast, host Cachetta Chére dives into the profound truth that "no one cares about a hero who never had it hard." Inspired by Alex Hormozi's words, the lessons from her spiritual father, and the overarching theme of recent sermons, Cachetta explores the value of trials in shaping our lives and strengthening our faith.

Through personal reflection and biblical wisdom, she uncovers why suffering is an integral part of the journey to purpose, greatness, and legacy. From her own moments of frustration to learning how to lean on God instead of anxiety, Cachetta shares how hardships are opportunities for growth, discipline, and unwavering trust in God's plan.

Key points include:

  • Why discipline is built on showing up, even when it hurts.
  • The connection between trials, patience, and the fruits of the Spirit.
  • Reframing hardships as part of a bigger, God-ordained story.
  • Why worrying about tomorrow robs you of the joy and strength for today.
  • Choosing your hard: the discipline to push through vs. the regret of giving up.

Cachetta reminds listeners that the extraordinary life God has shown you won’t come easy, but that’s what makes it worthwhile. Whether you’re building a legacy, curating a life of faith, or walking a path no one in your circle has before, this is your encouragement to embrace the trials with joy and give the burdens to God.

Scripture Highlights:

  • “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5 NKJV)
  • “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” (James 1:2 NIV)

Tune in for a motivational message on embracing life’s trials, trusting God’s timing, and stepping boldly into the legacy He’s called you to build. If this resonates, please leave a review—it would mean so much!

Inspired by a simple moment of cleaning her kitchen after a conversation with her brother, Cachetta dives into how acts of love—both big and small—start with patience and kindness toward ourselves.

She shares her personal journey of navigating high-functioning depression, balancing societal pressures, and finding joy in the mundane. Through this reflection, Cachetta explores what it means to honor God by showing love in every area of life, including the care we give to our spaces, our routines, and our hearts.

  • How habits and routines can be hard but are worth the fight.
  • Viewing acts of care for your space and self as acts of devotion.

Scripture Highlights: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV)

"The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31 ESV)

I’ve “said” this before, but this podcast is my personal creative outlet, but it also serves as a reminder, especially, to those who find this podcast along the way to becoming their best selves, that consistency is so important. There is always room for growth and we will NEVER reach perfection, but what I do know is: average consistency is an OXYMORON. Those two things will never exist for long in the same sentence, in the same thought process, in the same room.

Anyway, in today’s episode,

  1. I discuss how to shift your perspective on control and how to just let go. YOU NEED TO SURRENDER. It’s hard but you choose your hard. Trying to control things ISN’T WORKING.

Cheers to 21 episodes!!! Featuring Baby Zola!

It's not that hard to care for yourself without dropping a bag on a massage, nails, and all the glitz and glam that make you look sparkly, may even make you feel amazing, physically, but may or may not be doing anything for your mental or emotional health.

Let's be for real. When you go get a massage, you probably can't even enjoy it because your'e too busy thinking about all of the things you could be getting done. So instead of spending money, for now, here are some quick and easy, and definitely, fun and energizing things you can do to have a little me time.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

Hey love, welcome to What's Your Deal Wednesdays!! A segment on Don't Hit Snooze the Podcast that includes unhinged and uncensored conversation with Talls (Sarah) and Smalls (your host, Cachetta Chére).

Listen in once a month (unless requested for more) and here us talk about how life can get the best of you but how not to be "that guy," in a world that might push you to be and do just that. Listen in and level up, but most of all, be reminded to just be a good human. Hear from two women who are TOTAL OPPOSITES with very strong opinions and rationale.

Nothing is off limits as far as we are concerned 'cause we really want to know, "WHAT'S YOUR DEAL?"

Thank you all for listening! Welcome to 2023. More love, more convos, more guests, more growth, more of NOT sleeping on our potential. Period. Love y'all!

I found this list and lots of things on the list resonated with me regarding preparing for 2023 so I wanted to share it. Take what you need and leave the rest. I haven’t talked to y’all since 2022! Lol. I missed y’all. But seriously…

In today’s episode:

  1. I share some “church announcements.”
  2. I discuss 23 ways to prepare for this year and how to make the best and most of it.

We have 361 days, a little over 8600 hours left. What are you planning to do with them?

WE ARE AT OUR LAST EPISODE OF 2022. And guess what? It's my first time posting late. But today's episode is perfect. It's the perfect reminder that stuff happens and you have to go with it. Don't get bogged down. Don't flail. Don't stop. Don't stop doing what you're supposed to do or what you want to do just because it doesn't look the way you want it to look or things aren't panning out the way they did in your mind. Life be "lifing," so we got' roll with it.

Anyway, In today's episode, I discuss what I learned or what is a key takeaway from 2022. BE LIKE WATER. And why that's important for 2023...

In today's episode, I discuss:

  1. The importance of pouring into yourself in order to make room for giving unto others. You can't pour from an empty cup. It's not a scripture but a quote, but a scripture to further explain this would be from Matthew 22:39, KJV: "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." You can't give to others what you ain't giving to yourself, simply put.
  2. In the spirit of giving, don't forget yourself.
  3. Being ok with not having it this time. If you haven't been / aren't able to or just don't plan to give / gift anything, that's ok. Those who matter don't mind; those who mind don't matter. That's not what this "holiday" is about anyway, right?

Hey, loves! I’m so excited to be back with another episode, but not so excited about the news I’m sharing. I, unfortunately, have been a recipient (cause I DON’T subscribe to that ‘victim,’ word) of a crime. Although, I’m glad we’re safe, I had some items stolen that held sentimental value, so I’m a little saddened, but so grateful to God that I was able to get my window replaced the next day.

In today’s episode:

  1. I discuss my personal experience of a crime that’s all too common in the streets of Chicago at this time.
  2. I share how I’m moving forward with the end of the a month and the beginning of a new month, as well as ending a new year and beginning a new year soon.
  3. I provide some tips on how to take a trip down 2022 using my “RV method” and how to gain some perspective on our lives to avoid the race to the end of the year and to resist the rush and to fully embrace the reset.

Things are moving exactly how we choose. We can choose to see things as moving too quickly or moving too slowly; coming too soon or not coming soon enough. Perception is important, but perspective is everything,

PART 3!!! FINALLY!!! Like I said a couple episodes ago, I am so excited to have had Tee come back. Part 1 was spicy, part 2 is for the people who have been down on themselves about any and everything, and baby, part 3 is a reminder that we ALL have blind spots and it’s up to us to communicate with our loved ones so that we adhere to our own standards and help them to rise to them if they aren’t due to their own blindspots.

In today’s episode:

  1. We continued to talk about compassion–giving it to yourself and others.
  2. We discuss the importance of communicating one’s needs to protect and maintain their boundaries and standards.
  3. I briefly touch on feeling all the things, being ok with not being ok, and Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D) and what this time of year means for a lot of people.
  4. Tee shared her professional perspectives, which is the perfect addition to our conversation. I LOVE IT HERE!

In today’s episode, instead of sharing part 3 of Chet & Tee, I felt lead to just do an impromptu talk from me to YOU. I decided to let you in on a little bit of the “tea” of where my head has been for the past couple days and weeks...you can even say years tbh. It boils down to a few things and a lot of them stem from these little ANTS (automatic negative thoughts), as well as some core beliefs rooted in traumatic childhood experiences.

Take a listen...

Journal Prompt: “Why is personal development important to you? Why do you want to become or why is it important for you to become a better version of yourself?

For me the simple answer is in Brian P. Moran’s book, “12 Week Year.” He says, “Don’t settle for anything less than the life you are capable of.”

PART 2!!! I’m so excited to have had Tee come back. Tee is a long-time friend, amazing communicator, and mental health professional so she brings her expertise to the table as we discuss a lot of things that are relevant in today’s society, from self-discipline to self-compassion, and brings a sweetness to the “Tee” by adding a professional perspective to the mix.

We had some technical difficulties so it means a lot that she made sitting down with your girl again a priority for her. We made it happen and it’s EVEN better than the first time we recorded. Part 1 was spicy, but part 2 is for the people who have been down on themselves about any and everything. We aren’t perfect and that’s why…

In today’s episode:

  1. We finished up our drive down the friendship memory lane but also talked about social media beef, the stress that those types of unhealthy coping mechanisms can bring, and a bunch of other things that can happen if you don’t heal yourself and the way you view friendships.
  2. We talk about compassion–giving it to yourself and others.
  3. We discuss the importance of compassion as it relates to discipline and self-care.
  4. We travel through the woes of parenting from a space of trauma and overcoming that through compassion and healing and not wanting to parent for the sake of “not showing up how your parents did” or simply “doing better than they did.”
  5. Provide some encouragement to those who may have not been seeing

Today is National Stress Awareness Day so I brought on a professional to chat with me about how stress shows up in life and how to manage it, good, bad, and indifferent. This is ALSO the 10th episode and, if you’ve been listening, you know that I’m all for celebrating small wins so as a small celebration, I brought on a guest.

In today’s episode:

Tenisia spills the “Tee" about her life as a barista, why our friendship ended, the stress, and relief, honestly, that it brought us, and so much more. And as a licensed professional Psychotherapist, she gives some essential tips on what stress can look like it and how to manage it.

FYI, we had a third unexpected guest, a Golden Doodle pup, Maxine, who was clearly experiencing the normal FOMO, whom you’ll hear frequently, And we also realized that we’ll have to do a part 2 for several reasons, so be on the lookout for that.

We may start featuring guests more frequently and this guest and I, actually, have a surprise in store for the Don’t Hit Snooze fam. Without further ado, let’s get into this episode with our very first guest, @sweettee_!

Scripture of the Week:

“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!” —Hebrews 12:1-3 MSG

Quote of the Week:

“When you write the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen.”

In today’s episode, I:

  1. Share some thoughts about Kanye West
  2. Provide some insight into why it’s important to stop holding on to the story that other people have written of you and owning your own story.
  3. Discuss how my life has shifted and being able to recognize that I have to forgive those who have written narratives of me, and even if/when those narratives have some validity, there’s strength in simply being able to pull from the negative aspects and create positive a outlook on things that I need to improve.

Scripture of the Week:

“At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off big-time, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.”

Hebrews 12:11 MSG (I may have this incorrect–this passage includes verses 4-11 in the MSG version and it’s extremely long, but it’s so good! Don’t take my word; go check the Word.)

In today’s episode, I:

  1. Share some of my current challenges with knowing where I should be dialing back and where I should be amping things up.
  2. Discuss how fitness is similar to life. Just because you max out doesn’t mean you stop working out; it means the exact opposite. It means that you have to decide if you want to maintain that weight then keep doing what you’re doing but if you’re interested in bulking up / building muscle / getting stronger, similarly, in life, you have to add more weight, do different exercises. Don’t do something else, do something different.

You’re after one that’s gold eternally. You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got...” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 MSG

Quote of the Week (Same..even though I said, “Day,”):

“If we did realize the difference between the vital few and the trivial many in all aspects of our lives and if we did something about it, we could multiply anything that we valued.”

Richard Koch, The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Achieving More with Less

In today’s episode, I:

  1. Share some of my current challenges with doing what’s best and most important versus doing other things that aren’t necessarily what I should be focusing on, currently.
  2. Discuss how the 80/20 principle can help to improve your productivity, decision-making skills, and so much more.
  3. Provide some encouragement to creatives who feel like they’ve been doing a lot but not producing any fruit.
  4. Give five ways to gain more clarity, competence, and concentration in the areas of importance and how to identity those areas.

In today’s episode, I:

  1. Share some of my past challenges with focusing on one thing at a time and the need to feel accomplished by trying to be a human centipede or at minimum, an octopus. Whew chile!
  2. Discuss how this episode is a prerequisite for the next about the 80/20 principle–which i gave a few tidbits about what that is and how it applies to the real world and in our daily lives
  3. Provide some encouragement to creatives who feel like they need to do everything at once, and for those who feel like they need to be and do everything for everybody
  4. Give a few action items to help someone who may be struggling with what to focus on and how to just focus on one thing at a time. It doesn’t mean you’re ditching everything, but what’s the one thing that you can do such that by doing it everything else becomes easier or unnecessary?

We are on Day 7 of the “What the Buck?!” 100-Day Challenge. Things are going to get a little bit spicy because it’s time to amp things up. I really want to make sure that I’m holding you accountable to live up to your potential. Are you ready or are you ready?!

In today’s episode, I talk about the 6 seasons of life and how to discern which one you may be in and how to go about prioritizing your life within the season and what you determine as having higher levels of importance based on your Wheel of Life evaluation.

Quote of the Week:

“When you accept the fact that sometimes seasons are dry and times are hard and that God is in control of both, you will discover a sense of divine refuge, because the hope then is in God and not in yourself.” — Charles R. Swindoll

What you’re doing isn’t working, so it’s time to switch it up! Finish the year strong. Let’s run the play. In the first day and week of this challenge, we will focus on getting a grasp of where we are and where we want to be to understand the areas of our lives that need our immediate attention. I’m not one for rules, but we will most definitely have some group ‘Norms,’ to level-set and maintain a standard to uphold as a baseline. We will hold ourselves and our community accountable to the standard.

In today’s episode, I talk about the “What the Buck?!" Challenge isn't about following everything that I carve out to a tee. It's designed to cultivate a meaningful deep-dive into your own life, goals, shortcomings, challenges, and strengths, while examining the areas that you want to improve upon to ultimately design the life you want to live and become the best version of yourself. But the kicker is...you gotta keep it ALL THE WAY A BUCK with yourself!

Quote of the Week:

The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor. – Vince Lombardi

Scripture of the Week:

“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:9-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Scripture of the Week

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:1-2 AMPC

Quote of the Week

“Progress equals happiness. If you keep growing, you’re going to feel alive. And if you keep growing, you’re going to have more to give.” - Tony Robbins

I’m sure we’ve all heard of PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome), but this isn’t even close to what this episode is about. We give meaning to words, so how do you feel about giving new meaning to ‘PMS?’ You may have continuously been on this path to becoming the greatest version of yourself, but if you’ve been going about it with the wrong mindset, that may or may not be why you’ve been feeling like you’re sleeping on your potential.

In our third episode, we discuss how to shift our mindset from a fixed to a growth mindset using the strategy based on our newly defined PMS (Positive Mindset Syndrome).

I talk about…

  • What Positive Mindset Syndrome is
  • Tips on how to create and maintain the life you want and dream of with the right mindset
  • Some things that may show up in our everyday lives to mentally prepare for them and not shift our focus from what’s good, what’s going well, our purpose, and our power.

I don’t personally choose to subscribe to the “microwave society” or “microwave generation,” but I know that in the world of influencing, BBL’s, “experts” popping up on podcasts every week, and millionaire moguls under 25, it can sometimes FEEL like we don’t have enough money, we don’t know enough, we don’t have enough followers, we don’t have enough influence, we aren’t working hard enough, we just aren’t enough. Have you been feeling like you’ve been working toward something and just havent been seeing the fruit?

In our second episode, we discuss how I, a multi-hyphenate, multi-passionante, and multi-potentialite is currently working through my own fleeting feelings of lack and overcoming the challenges of not getting what I want right away.

I talk about…

  • What we can do to maintain in a “microwave society”
  • How to appreciate the slow grind or slow progress
  • Ways in which we can focus on the positive aspects of life to help us endure when things don’t look like what we’ve hoped for and when it takes longer than expected

Quote of the Week:

“God's timing is perfect timing. If it happened before it can happen again. Remain content, have faith (even if it's just a widdle bit lol), and stand steadfast in the Word, in and out of the storm, but especially through the storm.” - Ya girl, Cachetta Chére

Scripture of the Week:

“Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.” Philippians 4:11 AMPC

Do you ever find yourself trying to avoid stress but actually end up more stressed because you’ve avoided the real problem? When we don’t want to face stress head on, we actually increase our anxiety and stress levels as opposed to just doing the things and reducing stress.

In our very first episode, I discuss how a multi-hyphenate, multi-passionante, and multi-potentialite like myself is currently working through my own avoidant behaviors and how I have developed some strategies that allow me to notice when I’m avoiding certain things, get closer to finding out why I’m avoiding them, and how to stop avoiding them altogether and actually facing my issues head on and how YOU can do the same.

I talk about…

  • What avoidance coping actually is
  • Some ways that avoidance coping shows up in our everyday lives through

    1. Procrastination
    2. Passive aggressiveness
    3. Rumination
    4. 8 strategies to use to break through avoidance coping
    5. Improving your life by doing these 8 things to, essentially, avoid avoidance coping and using some active coping techniques

Things I didn’t mention:

  • Other active coping strategies such as

    1. Journaling
    2. Meditating
