Hey Guys.
This is the second part of our episode on the worst mental health advice of Filipinos. It was a heated conversation on how these advices can negatively affect the person seeking advice, rather than help.
We hope that if you need any support, know that you are not weak for it, know that you're situation is different from others, know that prayer isn't the only thing that God has provided you to deal with your challenges, and know that you don't always have to think positively to cope.
Validate your emotions, and feel that you deserve to be listened to. Please take care of yourselves. If anything, We are your safe space, so know that we are right here with you.

Hello friends.
We hope you had a glorious week. September is a month we wanted to make special by focusing on a lot of conversations on mental health and the support we receive through this, especially the absolutely bad advice that people give, when supporting someone through a crisis.
Join us, as we get triggered and rant about the worst advice people can give, when helping some get through a challenge in life. This is quite a heated conversation, so if you get offended by it, we're sorry but then again, not really haha. We just wanted to be as honest with you as possible.
We hope you enjoy this with us.
See you in the next one.!!

We're back!;
and we definitely did not overthink this episode title !!
Seriously, this episode is about rekindling our passions for doing the things we aspire to do. it is about finding the ever elusive purpose in our lives, and to find the "why" in life. this is also about accepting the fact that sometimes, all we need is not to give up, but find a change in direction.
It has been a year since our last upload and a lot has definitely happened. We're thankful that all of you are still listening, and hopeful that we can keep this going, amidst the demands of life.
Join us as again as we take on the hard conversations, the difficult to accept truths, the challenges, challenging people, the pretentions, and to know what the hell are we doing this for? :

Hello Friend,
Life being hard, had become its overarching rule. Everyone has burdens to keep, but I want you to know, that they don’t always have to be locked away in the depths of our unconscious. There is value and strength to be gained, in moments where we are most weak and vulnerable. When we share our pian and sorrow, I’d like to think, that in some way, we may be guiding some lost souls who have not found their way. In this way, our pain can become strength for others. This episode is a story of a person, that will do exactly that.
I hope that you are brave my friend, brave enough to not face life alone, brave enough to say you’re scared, that you worry about a lot of things, and that life is not easy. Be strong enough to embrace your faults and weaknesses. Be strong enough to accept that you have limits, because it does not mean that you’re limited.
Be wise enough to know, that in this life, having a friend in the trenches can save your life.
We’re right here with you in the trenches, this battle isn’t yours to fight alone.
Your Friends.

Hello our Dear Friend,
The journey to know who we are is one hell of an adventure. Some intend to start but don’t finish, some don’t bother at all, especially those who have been led to believe that others can write their stories for them. However, there are those that see this journey through its end, through sweet memories, and bitter ends. They see it through, and find that in the end, realizing who you really are is a feeling that can’t be explained for measured. You’re just sure that the person you see in the mirror, with all the scars, and aged lines, is exactly the one who you need to be.
I've found that one of the most important aspects of this journey is being honest with oneself. It's not always easy to face our fears or our weaknesses, but acknowledging and accepting them is crucial for personal growth. When we take the time to reflect on our experiences and emotions, we begin to understand what makes us unique, and what we truly want out of life.
I hope you have the courage, everyday to pay attention to who you are, and to spend time to know that you are worthwhile.
You are worth knowing.
Yours,
Your Dear Friend buddies

Dear friends,
As we look onward towards the enticing promise of growth and change this new year. We wanted to take the time to write to you about that journey, the ups and downs of growth, transformation, and maturity.
We all go through this journey in life, and it can be easy to get caught up in our day-to-day struggles and lose sight of the bigger picture. But it's important to remember that every experience, whether it be good or bad, is an opportunity for growth. Even your very worst moments can, in the end, become the storm that leads you to paradise.
As you navigate through life, we hope that you can be patient with yourself and the process. Personal growth is not always a linear path, and there will be times when you may feel stuck or frustrated. But it's important to remember that these are all part of the journey and that every experience is an opportunity to learn. It’s usually when we are lost do, we usually find our way.
We encourage you to embrace change and to be open to new experiences and perspectives, especially the unpleasant moments, and truths that are hard to bear. We know that, not only can this be difficult but at times downright impossible, but it is through these challenges that we truly shape who we are as individuals.
I hope that through your journey, you can find the strength and patience to transform and grow emotionally. Remember to be kind to yourself, embrace change, and trust that in the end, you will always bee exactly where you need to be.
Goodspeed.
Your friends.

Hello Dear friends,
L, your counselor here. Just wanted to drop by your feed and give you good dose of support and positivity, before you get on your week.
This is week 3 January check-in. I just wanted to remind you all, how good of a job you’re doing. You may be struggling, but don’t dismiss the effort you are putting in. Remember that it’s all about the journey, let the destination worry about itself. If your plans haven’t panned out and your resolutions are looking bleak, remember that all great things take time, it may not be today or tomorrow, or even next month, but the change you’ve been aiming for will come. It will come in the small imperceptible steps you take each day towards that goal. So, keep moving forward, even if you have slowed it down to a crawl, it’s ok, it isn’t a race. This is your process.
Be receptive to help, don’t equate self-isolation to independence. To be truly independent is to recognise your limits and be receptive to help, just make sure it’s a friend you trust, a friend like us.
I hope your week has been as awesome as you. I may not know you, but I see you.
Take care friend.
Be joyful.
L

Hello Dear Friends!
Happy New Year!
We hope you had a blast in the holidays!
The New Year always brings us hope, its promise of reinvention, growth and change is always so enticing, but also pressuring. There’s the air of wanting to be better, and leaving behind habits, relationships, and bad decisions in the previous year.
While the drive for growth is strong, there are times when the resolutions we make in the new year’s, don’t pan out as intended. This episode is all about those stories, the should have’s and could haves, and why its perfectly ok to have them. We also have a few tips for you, that you’d probably want to try if you intend to keep the new promises made for this new year.
We wish you luck in your endeavours.
Stay Awesome!
Love,
Your Dear Friend Buddies

Love bombing is a form of emotional manipulation in which someone showers another person with excessive affection, attention, and praise in order to gain control or influence over them. It can be difficult to recognize love bombing because it often begins as a seemingly sincere and intense expression of love and can be very seductive. However, the underlying goal of love bombing is to manipulate the other person into becoming dependent on the love bomber and to prioritize their needs above their own. The relationship starts to blur the victim's sense of self, and forgot their emotional needs completely, inspiring shame even guilt when feeling them. It has its particular nuances and complex dynamics, and we try to break it all down in this episode.

Living in a society that’s incessantly trying to advocate, solving personal problems through sheer self-reliance and independence, it can sometimes feel awkward, even shameful to ask for help, and to want support.
We end up fighting in invisible battlefields alone, feeling disheartened over the towering mountain of issues, we feel we should be solving alone. We wear masks of smiles, laughter, and busywork, to hide the scars, and the cuts, and the bleeding. We foolishly hope that if we pretend long enough, maybe the wounds would cease to exist. We drown ourselves with positivity, thinking it’s the cure, but all it does is numb the pain we all know is still there. Its building, bubbling and looming, and we’re afraid that if we finally open up, that the emotions would be too overwhelming, and too powerful for us to control. There, in that valley of conflicting thoughts, fears and silent cries, we fight our silent battles.
This episode is for those of you, who feel alone, for those of you who have been hiding long enough. Let’s sit down and talk about you scars and your wounds, and your secret fears. I know you think that this battle is yours, but you don’t need to fight it alone.
What is self-image for you? How do you perceive and experience yourself?
Sometimes we forgot what we owe to ourselves. We forgot the basic core to fall in love with who and what we are. It's a real struggle for a lot of us to see our worth, let alone figure out the 'hows' of loving ourselves. Today's episode is a look into how we struggle with body issues, how much pressure society puts onto a lot of us to look perfect, thinking that it's the only way for us to ever be truly loved. Join us and our special guest, Roni, as we open this difficult yet completely relatable conversation about our relationship with ourselves.

Cheers to you listeners!
To travel the world is a great accomplishment, and at times to brave a new land takes courage, a whole lot of planning and steely determination, yet at the center of it all is the inexplicable sense of accomplishment and feeling of being part of something bigger than all our little problems. In this episode, with our special guest Ms Cha, we explore the wonderful places we’ve been to, and the awesome memories woven in each of these beautiful places. Relive the passion of going on adventures and feel your inner self grow as you see what the world has to offer.

Why are our core emotional needs important?
It is old knowledge to know that we must nourish our bodies in order to live fully, but we don’t often talk about our emotional needs and how important they are. They affect not only the way we see ourselves, but the way we see others as well. They shape the way we think other people perceive us, even the way we relate to the people in our school and workplace.
It is important that we are aware of these emotional needs and to navigate life knowing that we need to validate these needs because not only are they tied to the way we feel, but also how successfully we navigate living our lives to the fullest.
We all are eager to feel some holiday cheer right about now since it’s been quite the year for many of us. It feels like we’ve been going through this long dark tunnel, but we all like to believe that this story still has a happy ending waiting for us.
This episode is about remembering about the happiest times in our lives. The holidays and sweet traditions we’ve had as kids that we miss over the passing years. We reflect on how we found hope amidst these tough times, what it means to have family and love keeping us strong and grounded and how we can encourage you to remember that while it has been tough, life is still filled with joy and happiness.
"You may have lost something or someone and now you are thinking that your life will never be perfect. You are thinking that your life will never be the same again."

Mental health begins with awareness, that’s why knowledge is key to finding healing and well-being. If given the wrong information, one can unwittingly form unhealthy mental patterns that may seem that they make sense at first, but would ultimately lead to more pain and confusion to a person with mental health concerns. That is why, in this episode, your Dear Friend L hopes that you’ll not only find enlightenment but also the realization that maybe you’ve been judging yourself too harshly, or that you’ve neglected your own self worth far longer than you should have.
"Yes, it feels very uncomfortable to be different. But you know, you don’t have to do something just because everybody else is doing it."
