This seven-year-old girl's name is Tina and she is bilingual. She speaks English fluently and even better than her mother’s language, Vietnamese. Today, I'd love to share some stories about my sister how she can speak English fluently by herself. My young little Sister and I - that's a complicated relationship πŸ˜†. Tina is actually the daughter of my close friend; however, this lovely little girl wanted to call me "sister" instead of "auntie".Since she was 2 years old, she was very into watching cartoons on Youtube like Peppa Pig, Little baby bird, My Little Pony. She loved to watch them over and over again. It's the result of the educational benefits of watching cartoons on Youtube. I believe that's the way how Tina can learn English really fast. Kids are attracted to this type of entertainment because it is fun and easy to use. It provides an entertaining way for children to learn vocabulary, which will help them in school, as well as other life skills.

My sister has always been the bigger prodigy, she started speaking English at 3 years old, which is unusual because most Vietnamese children start speaking their mother tongue until they are four or five years old. Honestly, her parents don't know English, so Nikki and I often talk to her in English sometimes. Nikki and I spent a lot of time since then teaching her how to count in English from 1 to 20.

Since then her parents knew that their daughter had an exceptional gift. From the time Tina's mother realized that she was always able to quickly learn new things, she began devoting all of her energy to finding ways to nurture this gift. She purchased the alphabet and book with pictures for English learning and watched videos on YouTube. It won't be long before her daughter can speak fluent English fluently- like a native speaker.

I believe that English is now her first tongue not Vietnamese, to be honest and we feel like we have to fight every time to speak with her in Vietnamese 🀣. Like she translates word-by-word from English to Vietnamese and she's just so cute :)

Tina is really a talented little baby. From the age of six, she has been drawing pictures and writing words in English. The first word she wrote was "I love you, Mommy" and the day her mom showed me the letter that she wrote to her neighbor friend. It's so cute and funny that we couldn't stop laughing (sorry Tina 😁)...!!!

From the letter

**From Daniel- Her friend

Dear Tina,

I know I am the best friend you see but you got to go the bad friend and sometime you anger me! but I always like you. do you remember wen (I think "when") we is the kits (I guess "kids" πŸ˜†) We want to play with you. I always server you. But I'm a bit now..anger.. (sorry I can't read it anymore)

Dear Daniel,

Replied by her drawing πŸ˜‰**

What are your thoughts on letting your children watch YouTube videos to learn English? In my opinion, children can learn English on youtube because of the multitude of excellent channels that teach them the basics. Many channels provide educational videos, such as how to read, write, and speak. With youtube, it is possible for these children to learn and grow as English speakers. However, parents need to observe what their children watch on Youtube.

Tina has first time made a video by herself to wish her teacher, who is in the hospital, a happy Christmas. I hope you enjoy her stories.

Her parents are proud of her and love her very much !!

I've been busier the past few days as everything has reopened after a period of lockdown. It is nice to see people out and about doing their regular activities, but it has been different without the routine. I met a new friend who asked me to come along on some of her cycling adventures. Cycling is something I really enjoy doing, so I hope to catch up on some routes by following her and @whynotcamp. It's always wonderful to meet someone you can share mutual interests with.

It was a beautiful day weekend. We cycled along the Han River- one of my favorite spots in town. The road is completely flat and takes us past many interesting sights such as the River and other popular bridges of the city. When I cycle this road, I feel like I can see all that the city has to offer without breaking a sweat. The water was still and smooth as glass, reflecting off what little sun came through the trees, boats, and high buildings.

Photographs were taken with the help of the coast guard. It is mandatory that we wear face masks in public places even when doing outdoor activities

When the weekend arrives, it feels like there is never enough time. So when we get the chance, we take it. We stopped by the riverbank at the foot of the Thuan Phuoc Bridge to take in the view catch the sunset and talk for hours. We share stories about the time during the lockdown, adventures of our past, and plans for the near future: where we will go hiking and camping next,...

On the following day, I went out to cycle with another friend @crazy-bee

My plan is to move to another city for a while when everything is fully opened. However, leaving this wonderful city does not come easily for me. I love its natural beauty with its sandy beaches, sunsets, and breezy shorelines. I feel safe because I know everyone here and I love wandering around Da Nang because the city is so vibrant with food, culture, and places to explore.

Thank you @whynotcamp for taking the video. I love it ❀️

The last few days the weather has been erratic. The sun has been out in the afternoon but it has rained on and off throughout the day. This is not abnormal for the time of year in Da Nang, but it usually doesn't rain this much this early. It seems that there are more wet days ahead, but it's ok I just enjoying the moment. 😊

This weekend has been pretty slow, which was not too bad. It was nice to have a little relaxation from all the things that have been constantly lockdown for a while. I can see that people here are excited to venture out again for some exercise and outdoor activities after being locked up inside for too long. Me either!! The one downside of this was I had an unexpected bicycle accident, but there's nothing much serious. I'm still good and about out for bicycle again after done this post. πŸ˜‰

It was a pleasure to meet Tim @jacuzzi on the way and asked him to help me take pictures πŸ˜‚

Before heading home, I visited a friend living in a resort along the beach. I walked in and noticed that there are only a few guesses taying at the resort now. Even with no staff or security at the resort, but it's understandable as I figured that this was just because of the current situation and this is a problem that all businesses have to deal with. I believe that when life is back to normal, this place will be fully booked. It's really nice and the views are amazing.

I was enjoying a leisurely bike ride back home. Then, suddenly, the rain started to pour down. Then I rushed to get home but didn't see a pot hole in the pavement. Without warning, my feet were sent flying off my bike pedals and fell down to the ground. It was a bit scared and I was feeling like my teeth were about out of my mouth 😐, but luckily for me, I was able to go to the dentist right away and get everything fixed up. I'm recovering and getting better now. The first time I fell off my bike and it was all just a lesson to be careful when riding a bicycle because you never know what might happen.🀨

My friend told me that I have sexy big lips now... πŸ˜‚

I hope you're all having a wonderful week, and I'm looking forward to another weekend ahead. :)

My first time arriving in New Zealand was an unforgettable experience. The day of my new beginning, I quit my job in Singapore, then flew alone all the way to a faraway country. It was not the first time I had left my native Viet Nam for a new country but it was very different from what I was used to. I have always been fascinated with New Zealand because it is so unique from any other country. The only way to fully understand the culture and enjoy its stunning landscape is by visiting this magical country for myself and exploring the entire nation for more than a year was the best decision I have ever made.

I was thrilled to finally step foot in New Zealand when I landed in Auckland. This was the first stop on my great adventure and I had a fantastic time exploring. I remember it was in the early spring at that time, and the weather was a bit cold for someone from a tropical country. From the airport, I took the bus to my friend's apartment on Queens Street, which is centrally located.

I had the most amazing experience the days I arrived in Auckland for the first time. As I ventured into the city, I felt that warmth all around me - it just seemed different here than at home. Everywhere I turned there were people smiling and waving. The locals are very polite, helpful, and welcoming to visitors of different cultures, which makes my heart feel so warm.

Queens Street in Auckland is one of the most famous streets for shopping. This street has many different shops, cafes, and restaurants lining it. It is home to some of Auckland's most popular attractions including Aotea Square, Britomart Shopping Centre, the Civic Theatre, and Onehunga Mall. Queens Street is also home to many buskers that come every day with live music!

The next few days were absolutely stunning with a clear blue sky, warm sunshine, and green rolling hills. I found myself staring up at the sky in complete awe as it was so clear and beautiful.

Auckland is one of the most populated and the largest cities in the country. There are so many interesting things to do, like doing the Harbour Bridge walk, visiting the Sky Tower, or just walking around downtown. The first few days in a new country can be quite an experience. I just moved around on the first days here and what I find most striking about this place is the architecture of all the buildings. One of them, a skyscraper in the heart of Auckland, really attracted me.

One of the most recognizable buildings in the city's skyline is the Sky Tower, which is positioned on Queen Street. The tower stands 233 meters high and has a hotel at its base. The tower is not only a tourist attraction but also a landmark, an important symbol for tourists and for locals alike.

There are several public transport options available to citizens of Auckland. The most popular transportation system is the bus and train, there are numerous routes throughout the city. I prefer to have a car, however, if I want to go to some areas out of town on weekends..πŸ˜ƒ

Being different from other parts of the country, Auckland is a shiny, modern metropolis with high-rise buildings and wide highways crisscrossing the city. Despite being hectic and crowded city but there are plentiful greenery landscapes around it that can be bearable. Many of these scenic greenery spots include small parks and gardens that offer an escape from the bustling city life. The outskirts of the city are where some of the best views reside, such as Piha Beach or One Tree Hill (that will be written in my next post).

Hey there,

I hope all is well and having a wonderful weekend :))

I have lately spent 3-5 hours working online from home so I have much spare time hanging out cycling or going on the adventure on the weekend. I have done many things on my own so far but I sometimes join my friends for hiking or kayaking. There are many well-loved paddling spots in the area that I did not know until a day my friend brought me to a hidden place just close to mine. 😍

My friend brought an inflatable Stand-Up Paddle board. It's so convenient and easy to carry it anywhere. It’s gonna be a super exciting plan that we will take this with us on the next adventure that we can find a lake to do the paddle. I did do the Stand-up Paddle Board a few times on the beach but this is the first time on the river. I'm so excited. 🀩

I can't imagine that there is a peaceful and fresh view like this the city. The high buildings on the other side of the River are Cocobay Skyline Resort and just a few steps to the beach. There is a river with beautiful views of the countryside behind this luxury Resort. In addition, they have 2 international golf courses on campus. Wow, what a great place to stay. If you plan to find a place to stay in Da Nang, I will definitely recommend Cocobay πŸ˜† But I'm not going to visit the place just paddle along the river πŸ˜…

It's sitting paddle boarding πŸ˜‚πŸ˜….

It was really such a wonderful surprise when I was taken to the pinky lotus field. I'm not crazy about Ros but Lily and Lotus flowers. β™₯️ It's really a chilling place to stay away from bustle and hustle city so we spent a couple of hours admiring the rustic scenery and listening to music. It was nice to get into the water, enjoy the fresh air & rustic scenery. I am apparently very lucky to have some friends who willingly take me out. I'm very grateful for it 😍

Now we're not allowed to do stuff outdoor even cycling or swimming. However, I did go out a lot before the lockdown πŸ˜ƒ. It's ok I can take it and now I started doing some workouts on youtube.

Thanks for reading. Much love β™₯️

Hello weekend wanderers, I hope you're well.

I had a pleasant weekend with some friends. It's my friend's birthday. I just met her a couple of times since we went on the hiking trip together. I'm so thrilled to be invited to her birthday trip on the ocean on the weekend. We spent a night camping at Son Tra beach here in Da Nang. We had so much fun together. I think I drank a little alcohol and got a bit drunk. :( However, I still manage to swim and snorkel the next day. The ocean is so beautiful and calm. The blue crystal clear seawater is so inviting, and the weather is great. It's an epic day. We are definitely going on more adventurous trips together soon.

What a pity! We don't have a go-pro to take videos while snorkelling. Here is the short video I took during the trip. I hope you enjoy the beach and send you guys the tropical sun from my place :)

Thanks for checking my blog and have a great week ahead πŸ™‚

It takes us 30 km south of Da Nang, Hoi An is a wonderful location for us to visit on the weekend. Hoi An is a very popular destination for domestic and international travellers thanks to its beauty and attractiveness. It's always packed; however, it's very quiet now.

There are many things to do and watch in the ancient town. Or sometimes we just drive here to have a coffee and walk around. The motorcycle is a great means of transportation chosen by many people when travelling in Hoi An. It's very convenient to explore every corner and tourist attractions along the way. I genuinely love everything here. Even how many times I visit, it simply just isn’t enough.

Let's jump on the bike with me and roam around too see the local life during this time πŸ˜‰

Hope you enjoy seeing the video and Have a great day !!

Muriwai beach is a popular attraction and fantastic beach on the west coast of Auckland, New Zealand. It's about 40 minutues scenic-road driving from the city (via State Hwy 16 and State Hwy 16). It was a great day trip with my friend (in 2017) and I was extremely amazed when visiting this place. It's very strange, wild and attractive seascape with impressive cliffs and many birds around. There are spectacular sight-seeing surroundings that is absolutely worth for a visit. If you are a beach lover, don't miss this hidden gem when in New Zealand.

We all need Vitamin Sea πŸ‹πŸ–οΈπŸŒŠ

The video edited by me (learning) and added beach healing music from youtube. I hope you will enjoy it and have a wonderful weekend at beach.

This is my entry for #beachwednesday Edition 7 hosted by @uwelang.

Hello Hive Lovers, how are things?

Have you watched the high speed train passing through the narrow streets just inches away? It sound crazy but definitely one of the most wonderful and strange experience that you should not miss when in Ha Noi, Viet Nam.

History : "During the French colonial period, the North-South railway including Hanoi train station was built. For many years, the railway runs around the capital quietly mixing with the rhythm of this place. The train streets start from Long Bien station to the end of Le Duan street, Hanoi." ( Source : https://www.expatolife.com/)

Tip: try to reach about half hour earlier and sit down at a coffee shop along the reack- some delicious foods are served as well and amazing EGG COFFEE. The location is on the google map and can be easily found so don't need to pay for the tour-you can visit there by yourself. It's really popular and every tourist wants to come here, hence the safety of the street has been rising. Plus, the train does come close so please be safe.

Where to find: you can find it in many street of the capital; nevertheless Le Duan street is highly recommended as a best spot.

Train Arrival Schedule: Around 7pm-10pm weekday and 8am-21:15 during weekend.

I have been to Ha Noi a few times for my short visit to take a bus to some other provinces in the northern, X-ray check up for visas or just for my international flights. For me, it was not interesting city for travelling and I know I was wrong until last year a friend and I came back Ha Noi for a couple of days and we did have a great time and unique experience. Tasty foods ( especially Bun Cha Obama that former US President Barack Obama tried during his visit here in May 2016- it's so yummy), Egg Coffee ( best ever) and this strange train street are completely amazing.

I hope you enjoy watching my very short "fast and curios" train version :))

Hello Hive Lovers, My first video posting here, I would love to share the beautiful time at beach that I really enjoy few days ago. I don’t add music as I really love to listen to the natural sounds of ocean waves..!!! I hope the beauty of the sea and sunset brings you peace and joy ❀️
