My Fitness Routine is not anywhere near to a weekly challenge. This was actually a long time routine i have developed in 2024 when i decided making a year long target is way above my league.
I have developed a new routine of making sure i will go to the park and do my walking for at least an hour as and when i have a day off(unless weather not permitted). With that goal in mind, i will have 52 weekends to work with, rather than promising myself a harsh:
"I am going to lose 50 pounds this year by walking my ass off"
Or as slack as
"I am going to jog for the entire year in 2024"
Yes. I have had enough of those. I knew those kind of goal will only drive me to 2 destination. One being at the wall, the other being breaking down like 50 yards from my starting point.
I'm glad i took this road, by having 52 starting points the entire year. Most of the weekends, i will have either two days of workout, or at least one. Sometimes i will have an extra day or two suring public holiday. On top of my regular walks, i have also starting to include jumping pull ups. From 1 rep to 5. And then slowly increased from 1 sets of 5 reps, to 2 sets, and then 3, 4, 5 sets.
Ok enough of all those. Goal has been set, it will be the same as last year, 52 weekends to work with, with added extra holidays, i think i am going the right way. Now with added pull ups, this seems to be my new found vigorous routine. I am no longer jumping pull ups, i am doing straight and clean. I dont yank, but i did it until failure. Usually my 1st and 2nd set, i can do full 5 clean reps. And then the following sets will be until failure.
I will be looking forward to slowly clean up my entire 5 sets, and hopefully to increase reps in 2025.

I wasn't a hardcore religious person. Perhaps the first 40 years of my life, despite being baptised as an infant and for some girls that i chased after was from the church that landed me a deal of confirmation when i was a teenager, I have never been a "Christian" at all.
Few of the life changing event happened in my life(probably yours too), one of the nost significant being Covid 19 lockdown. If you dont know what that is, please skip this post and proceed with the next one. I had stopped smoking due to out of stock. Since cigarettes is NOT consider as necessity, therefore the convenient shop hasn't been replenishing. I was so desparate at one point i even roll a toilet paper trying to smoke it. I guess the horrible smells really drove me away from wanting to put more smoke into myself anymore. Since then, i have not been smoking anymore. Not like i dont like the cigarettes smell, i just couldnt imagine to put another puff into myself anymore. I felt like that toilet rolled up joint literally put a saturation mark in my brains.
Last year, i lost my dad in November. The protestant wake and funeral literally scares the crap out of my pee hole. The reverant sermon, the churches friends sharing during the funeral is so powerful, such strong message of how to be a good Christian, why need to be a Christian, how to not go to hell. Frankly speaking, i don't feel comfortable sitting there. I tend to feel the need to inform my relative my dad don't normally practice these extreme. I felt totally ashame to be part of that community. So much worst than i did something bad and might tarnish the name of Jesus, rather than be "those" Christian at that funeral.
It still feel unreal to be accepted by the Catholic church, after being attending Catholic mass in this church for 20 years(since i know my ex-girlfriend - now my wife). No i am not ready to convert, there are some Catholic practice i couldn't agree with at this point of time. Its not like i am willing to openly say i am a Catholic, but sure i don't feel bad to admit I'm a Christian.
This part of my life, i am feeling way more religious then i was previously. I spent my first part of my life celebrating Christmas without even knowing the Christmas celebration is actually multiple events happened over the years, probably the pre-teenage of Jesus. Three kings for example, by the time they reached Jerusalem, Jesus is no longer infant/baby, he's already a child. It's truly interesting to understand Bible from a different perspective.
The link is an uploaded video of our final rehearsal for our lent presentation. It was a series of Lullaby songs we've prepared for the advent concert. Again, i thought the songs are beautifully written. I am not exactly sure if we did it correctly, but here's what i have during our final practice. One of the verse are about King Herod ordered the soldiers to kill all boy child below the age of 2. For the first time i can feel the magnitude of what happen in the history. This is "the other side" of the Christmas that no one celebrates, which i thought its important to remember.

I guess, no matter where I go, I'm the only person who do mall walking 6am in the morning. Why do that? Well, Genting doesn't really have a jogging track. The closest thing is a side walk which is quite confusing. If not familiar with it, could got lost and stuck at the outside unable to get back in.
Am I worry of lost in Genting? No not exactly. For one reason, i have done the outdoor walk a month ago. This time around, I want to explore the shopping gallery, so I can find affordable breakfast place.
The month before, Resort World hotel still under renovation. This time, they're in business. I don't see much difference at the concierge area, perhaps they renovated their rooms? No way to find out unless I checked myself in. Many years ago, they do offer free room at this hotel, but now limited to First World.
If you remember a huge Christmas tree I've posted the day before, this is another one inside the shopping mall.
After about an hour of brisk walking at the mall, and explored multiple exists to see where it led me to, finally back to the nearby children playground found this Indian curry shop.
16 a set of breakfast is consider "affordable" here. Mind you in Genting everything cost more than Kuala Lumpur. One should expect to pay two to three times the normal price.
Once I've found the shop, decided to go back and wake the home minister and kids up, so we can come for breakfast. On the way back, purposely swing by the light show site. To found those lights no longer tightly line up flat at the roof anymore.
The surrounding is very quiet, and without the LED panel, the entire shopping mall feels a lot peaceful and I think I enjoyed the quietness pretty much.
Took a huge detour from the top floor at the in door themepark, and the scene is absolutely stunning.
After woke everybody up, gathered everyone into one room, packed up our luggage and getting ready to leave. We couldn't make the children to go with us, so we left them at their room with all the luggage as we're planning to checkout after breakkie.
It is nothing really much to shout about. This kind of Indian mamak food is everywhere in Kuala Lumpur. We're lucky to have a place to crash in for a decent breakfast but that's all.
Here's another view of the restaurant. It's not really that big, fortunately not everyone willing to pay that price for "normal" food like we consume day to day.
Before we left, we also take away some iced Milo and roti cenai for the kids. Trust me, they taste better than how they looked.
Immediately after breakfast, we brought our luggage out, I put them into my trunk, checked out the rooms so we can proceed to the arcade.
Son has always been a Motorsport enthusiast. Indoor karting may be slow, with the walls and limited sprintable length of track, it really bring the level up for breaking point and efficient racing line.
One more thing to highlight, wasn't aware Genting also can utilize McDonald's app. Good thing is, one can order food at Genting price, but fetch freebies or deals as if we're in Kuala Lumpur. This flurry for example, from a buy 1 get 1 free. They can't charge extra on free stuff right, in the end it's still free 🤣
After 45 minutes of casual downhill drive, we're back to earth. We headed to one of the restaurant near our house, catch a quick lunch and very grateful for the discounted price compare to Genting.
And we had dinner at the seafood restaurant with aunt came all the way back from California. We've wasted 1 day of our accomodation in Genting, but it was worth it since we don't meet aunt only once a year.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/wnitjlvu
Ok. Here's more than 1 month delay on the Christmas trip to Genting. We got a free room to stay, but this time we don't get a connecting room. Kids will be on their own at another room, and we're on our own.
Genting Highland still hold the Guinness world record of the world largest hotel with more than 7000 rooms in 1 single hotel management. Due to the fact that these rooms are generally for gamblers, unless request and paying extra, don't expect to have any sort of view from your room. Who knows if you're lucky enough the neighbor across forgot to close their windows, you'll be able to see some "action".
Kids are having some good time with their gadgets whilst home minister is working her way to get a decent room nearer with the kids. At very least if there's anything they want, we're at the same floor or possibly next few doors away.
Back then, China was newly uplifted their lockdown, they have not even release their travel ban, but I've heard a series of mandarin accent. Home minister said could be Taiwan, but I'm pretty darn sure they're not. Am puzzle how do these Chinese get out of China with such heavy scrutinizing travel ban.
According to the time frame, we're couple of hours since Xiao Ming Kopitiam visit, all of us are quite full still. But then, if we don't eat now, later in the evening we might feel hungry. We found a Japanese shop(which run Burmese I guess) and ordered some simple dinner.
For the first time, we came all the way to Genting, Japanese food is one of the last choice in our mind. However, this time it really opened our eyes. This shop seems to know what they're cooking!
If you don't mind sitting by the side walk, tourist passing you by every second, this is actually quite a good sushi shop, and the shop is strategically located in between the hotel and the indoor theme park. It's a perfect grab and go shop in my opinion.
We arrived at the entrance of the outdoor theme park, but it was locked. We're a little disappointed because we're supposed to go in and see "snow" for the first time in our life.
So we turn back and getting ready to go shopping and quick tour around the in door theme park(which we visited several times since 2021).
Little did we know, Genting make this free for all visitors! Therefore, the ticketing area been blocked, and we need to use the side entrance from the exit point to go in for free.
There's this giant Christmas tree at the middle of the parade, there's a light board stating Genting Winter Wonderland.
To give you a big picture, we Malaysian appreciate winter very much since the only two season we have here is raining season and dry season, both with our tropical weather that somewhat resemble a hot summer 😂
And the outdoor theme park does not operate at night, so night at the museum only take in customers during the day 🤣 you know what I mean. My advise is, do bring your rain coat.
I'm the kind of redneck that never learn. The last time(a month ago) having shower in rain and mist, and I still don't have a raincoat. Next best fashion I can bring to you is a shower cap, needless to say I became the head turner of the night.
I didn't take much picture because the phone screen always fogged up pretty easily. I will leave the video do the typing and you don't need to read my Powderful Engrish so much. To end the day with a cup of noodle and coffee mixture back in the hotel room.

It's voting day! By the time this post is out, I'm sure the voting time has concluded, and our Malaysian election commission is tabulating the votes in order to see if we have a new government or remain the same.
I was/is/am/were not a politic fanatic at all until the most ridiculous scam commited by one of our prime minister, and decided I should at least do my part in helping to eliminate that government. Fast forward to 2018, I did document that on #steem where I was rushing back all the way from Bali, cut short 1 day of my business trip just to be on time to cast that vote!
Low and behold, we did create that miracle, toppling the government and installed ourselves a new government in 2018. Guess what, within 2 years, the new government managed to fu(ked themselves and a new prime minister was appointed. Again, in less than 2 years, that idiot also resigned and another one become a care taker prime minister. Sorry I can't call him an idiot yet since he's still the care taker. He's the one who "strongly" suggest the country to ditch English as international language 🤣
We, the people think this recent prime ministers and the care taker (they think temporary is rude) prime minister did a lot of damage, including declaring public holidays just to make a point that they're trying to impress employees 😂 even declare day off election day eve. As you can see, they're throwing party yesterday.
I am as usual excited over weekend going out for morning walk, to found the place being thrown upside down. By the look of it, they must be having loads of fun yesterday night. I can also smell the alcohol and vomits 😂
The car park is now a base for the British circus. I can't remember when was the last time I was in the circus. Probably before I was 10 year old. These circus show were never affordable for us Malaysian. Currency conversion is one thing, but the spending power simply aren't up to international standard since our earning doesn't justify with the inflation.
I think it was recent years change of rules for circus not allowing circus animal to perform. I tend to agree as god knows how cruel they starve those animal behind the stage and how they whip them to train them. Now that I look at the huge containers, I can't help but to think are they training humans in those boxes 🤣
The rest of the park was actually quite nice to walk. It felt absolutely back to the apocalyptic scene back in the lockdown days, which I don't think I saw many mother Parker park their parking car at the wrong parking space. I believe this was due to declared public holiday by the care taker minister for the erection... Oh wait... You mean my spelring mistake? Don't worry, I'm just using locurl Chinese accent, which most of us can't tell apart Elu or Aru. 🤣 Imagine a very romantic situation when a guy ask for the girl to close her eyes, he'd probably saying " I wanchu tu cross your ice"
For some reason, my voting center weren't able to change. I've shifted house since 2011, for multiple attempt I tried to move my voting rights to the north, but it seems my destiny are meant to vote for the southern Kuala Lumpur.
By the time I arrived my voting station, it's almost noon. Just as I expected, there's less crowd. I've been assigned to vote at this station for the past, I have very good experience and understand the pattern of the crowd. Came early doesn't mean I can cast my vote early. You just can't camp there and be the first to vote.
The first time I came by 7am, I left by 10. The second time I came by 8, I left by 10:30. The 3rd time, I came by 9, I left 11 🤣 this time, I arrived by 11, done in half an hour. I'm gonna try high noon next time 🤣 (if I'm still around to cast my vote).
On the way back to my car, I've walked pass this nostalgic 6 lane freeway by the local community business area, brought back tons of memories. Back in 2004 when I stayed with my aunt, every night I walked this path to the internet cafe check and reply email to the girlfriends, playing counter strike, sometimes until midnight.
Again, this is not a political topic. Besides, the vote is done. My post will not influence any of you to cast a vote for this man. Seriously, I don't stay here anymore. I don't know this guy. All I know is, I do not wish to vote for the other guy. Hope he do his best and serve the community there.
By the time I was done, I almost peed my pants as I drank too much water early in the morning. After done my business, took a sweet drive back to my in law house to enjoyed a plate of fully vegan fried noodle lunch. The greens are contributed by home minister as she lately have some success with her 4th floor apartment gardening.

Good day everyone. The short holiday proven that I have very little control on my appetite. I know it's all excuse, I'm just saying I allowed myself to give way, rest too much and work too little to burn my calories off.
The good thing being, I'm actually feeling a lot better these days after stopped running for couple of months now. I haven't really push my limit and started to pickup interval light jogging again, and the timing is not too bad. Well, although it still looks like a power walk, but I'm sure it make me feel so much better.
I'm not a regular runner even before I have problem with my knees, but I do prefer running than power walk. I like the pump, the feeling of sweating until my underpants can squeeze fluid(oh wait, I think I don't wear one when wearing leggings). Due to the knee pain, I was told by doc to go easy and to never run again.
After rested several months, and taken down several pounds, I actually feeling a little easier and try it out with light jog. So far the total 2 days got absolutely no problem. The knees are still clicking a little, but there's no obvious pain except the less trained calves. I'm tempting to push forward and quickly get myself back to 5km run, but my stamina simply isn't here anymore.
I understand the term muscle memory, I must say I don't have that amount of muscle even before I stopped running. So, I don't know what they remembered these days and all I can wished for is quickly get my lungs capacity back up, go out there and have the pump again.
Life is a bitch, but I don't hate it. I let myself down to this shit, I'm the one responsible to pull myself up again. The job still suck, but I need to rearrange my life, suck it up, commit to it and live well. Hopefully you guys will see a lot more of my running journey (and hopefully the knees doesn't complain, or will be back to walking).

We're the car guys. I know for a fact, these stuff doesn't actually run in the blood, but environment a kid exposed to, does blueprint their interest.
Andrew is the kid, where he experienced a lot of different vehicle since he was born, because I was in a transition of changing from different aggressive cars to a more family oriented car. I've been trying different cars, keeping some, selling some, and regret selling, buy back some, and still have some.
Don't doubt, I still have SOME cars somewhere around the corner, may be under the that bulge of tree leaf under the tree has a car in it, and I'm not surprised I left it there and forgotten. I guess that's how I sparked the diesel into this little grease monkey. That is Andrew's story. But that also lead me into thinking, how did I become a petrol head?
I literally stole my dad's car for a quick drive when I was a teen. Knowing back in the days where ABS literally means Absolutely Break Sh!t, I over sped, jammed the brake and knock into a fire hydrant. put a big dent into the front bumper.
Guess what, I also know some trick to UNdent the car despite doing a piss poor tiktok worthy knock job. It's less significant until my dad selling the car, the broker insist that was an accident dent, and my dad fought so hard but still took a -500 discount to let go of that car.
After I got my driving license, and there's a long stretch of spirited driving, spending countless of cash into modifying and making a slow car fast. Met a serious accident that almost land me into jail. Oh I got out of trouble, I told the repair shop to snap in a bigger turbo, I don't mind paying extra to top up from the insurance claim. I was thinking next time if I crash, I choose to die rather than facing the consequences. To an extend spending on the parts to improve performance, are actually more than the car itself. Often girl left me because they found engine oil in the fridge as I'm testing the viscosity.
Anyway, those are not important. What's more important is, I'm an insurance guy now, and have a family. After being exposed to enormous amount of fatal accidents, seeing not only cars snapped into half, I now drive sensually and extremely safe. A car is a car, it's only a mean of transport getting from point A to point B...or could be your hotel room if you're adventurous enough with your girlfriend(s).
And that's exactly why today's post. If you successfully made it this far, which means you're a car guy like me and my son. I would like you to pay attention to this post of Justin, as he's converting his APE into a 3 wheel school bus.
To me, it's a big thing. I can't sit here and NOT contribute to such ambitious work. I'm putting in my HBD to fund the diesel for the school bus job. May not be significant, but I believe if Hive network able to chip in a little bit of effort from each of us, who knows we can continue this project, hire more driver so the kids can all go to school!
One last note. The video was taken in a car that I didn't know I like the most. Sold it. Looking back into this video, thought about how the car drove, and decided I had to buy again. So I have one now and don't think I wanna sell it anytime soon.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/bmacmfvc
I did thought of NOT going to talk about why this could be the last time visiting, but that's the whole idea of this trip. The government is going to "take back" the hill and start collecting fee from hill goers. Here's the video during the hiking trip. We choose not the hiking trail, but the road track so it go easy on me, as you can tell I'm not exactly the fit type of person.
I will let the video do the talking and please enjoy the scene.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/ffuuygzw
I'm sorry, the rest of the article has absofuckinglutely nothing to do with the game play. I'm simply having too much stress, unable to blog properly, and need to have some fun to vent it out. Took a short drift, having the volume blast to the max, listening to the roaring engine sound and make myself hide behind the noise, seems like a better way than shouting at the balcony and get myself into trouble. There's a bunch of negativity at the bottom, do skip the rest and smash the upvote button, that's all that matter. But if you care to read some rant, then read on.
Working life has been "back to normal" as the government announced, the traffic is already at it's worst. It's like having nightmare in the morning. Got out of house 6am in the morning, sent both kids to school, and ended up reach office by 8. Work did not get done, and got complaint by client, and worst still, work still didn't get done.
One good thing happened is, had a casual meet with a competitor company big shot. I think she's ok with my introduction and my attitude towards my profession, the only thing left is my resume that hasn't been updated much since I'm stuck with the same company for 8 friggin years. I'm not exactly sure if I will take the risk, but rest assured if I continue to stick around, I'd be stuck forever, probably until the day I retired(or they fire me). So, I guess it's an opportunity that I can't miss. For better or worst, a change is a change.
Just as everything goes extremely smooth during the meet, we're talking about arranging me to meet the board and HR directors, so they can pull me in. The client from the morning complaint called in, and having my phone buzzing by the dining table multiple times, that called off the meeting and sent my future boss home. As I gave a return call, immediately I got a huge grind for the pissed poor job (which is not my fault to begin with).
Once again, I'm thinking the same shit can still happen in the new job(if I decided to change), but if I don't even try to change, I'm going to be facing the same bunch of morons from the same company. At least, if I get a new job, I'd be facing different kind of morons? Hopefully a better ones?
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/shcfelqq
Work has been pretty darn epic lately, especially after the damn flu, where I was awarded with "sick holiday", and then the company decided to give me more crap than I can swallow.
Anyway, fast forward to after working hour, I was still stuck at home doing quotations trying to catch up with what I've lost over the past 2 weeks.
Decided to have some fun with the long lost Mario Bros. Not that I'm bragging, I know way better player than I, but I guess the amount of "training" I had back in the days, literally trained me to have the kind of reflexes when I start hitting the button.
Here you go, enjoy some secrets.

Had an opportunity to get to downtown Kuala Lumpur, as I was adviced by @atyh to visit one of the place he previously visited, Pavillion. I'm sure it's not his most pleasant one since his wife lost a bracelet by snatch theft.
We're about to show you there's just as much good food in Pavillion mall food court. As long you're ok with the amount of people going in and out of this place, as a matter of fact, the pricing is relatively reasonable compare to many other famous restaurant.
Strategically located at the golden triangle of Kuala Lumpur, Pavillion is seated right opposite of some international hotel such as Pullman, Banyan Tree, Traders, just to name a few.
The lower ground floor are almost entirely dedicated for food outlet, if you're looking for eateries, this is the place to go to. You can find burger king, jco donut shop, Tony Roma's, and many more.
Food court is always my preferred place to go, not that I'm being cheap, and I believe fast food price is even cheaper. I'd like to have a huge variety to choose, and best if the whole family choose different dishes so we can share and experience.
Not only they have huge variety of mind blowing tasty food, they're all legitimate Halal stalls. So afraid not if their food is safe for Muslims.
And to many of our local people, if you haven't try a burrito, this is what home minister got us. A taco and a burrito for our dinner. But ofcourse, there's vegetarian shops to accommodate for vegan diet.

Kledang hill was one of the significant and iconic place for people at the west of Ipoh.
This hill has 3 different route to track. Any regular hasher in Ipoh Perak Malaysia will know for its novice track for car, and an intermediate track with staircase, and the hardest would be a jungle track.
If you're not a regular hiker, it is advisable to just stick to the road tracking instead. Don't get too comfortable going in without preparation, as you seen bunch of older people tracking it. Those are well trained regular hiker, if you try to follow their pace and you'll probably end up panting all over the place.
Once again, hashing and tracking without organizer, there's no winning and no competition. Prepare to go for a walk, but don't try to win. There's no opponent there, so don't try to be hero or ended up stranded by the roadside, worst is rumor has it younger fella probably first timer hiker died of heart attack. So once again, don't be hero. Go make a pee before start hashing, as there's only limited public washroom, where they have no water to flush yo.
Timing wise, I would prefer to go in the morning 7am. If you want earlier, it's actually better for you to start 6:30am, but than the road is very dark. Be sure to bring along torch light.
Parking is widely available, so as monkeys. Avoid playing with phone not only in the car, but also hiking. Beware of those rascal little monkeys, they will come and snatch your phone.
This is not exactly related to the post, but saw this beautiful sun rise view on the way back home, can't wait it but to snatch its view

First of all, let me tell you why am I staying in the office until late. Next week is lunar new year, and I have already booked my day off, therefore I need to get my work sorted out. Especially, the payout for flood victim from last month disaster. I'm sure they would also like to have their compensation banked in before the festive season, so they can have a peace of mind.
Whilst I was doing all sorts of admin work, finalizing the flood document, rain kicked in and thunder storm blasting through the grey sky. It's not really a big thing in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya area facing heavy rain. But those who know what does Kuala Lumpur really means, you split the two words and translate it from Malay to English, you'll get something like "two muddy cancel came to a joint at one place".
Rain storm so heavy that the plate glass started shaking. Thunder so strong until the phone camera shocked. My colleague came to my side and said she's worried if flood will poor in. I was going to say it's impossible since our building is at a higher ground.
Before I make further comment, water pouring out from the drain and started filling the basent carpark, turning the front part of the office into a swimming pool. I was still having a conversation with my client regarding her house flood, show her some of these picture. She send me a prayer and hope I will be safe. I told her I will get a fishing rod, to fish my car out from the swimming pool first.

Getting out from the Mid Valley city can be just as painful as getting in. Since we have parked our car, the most logic thinking to go mall hoping will be taking a light rail train.
There's two type of train system connected to this, the commuter is actually the best suit me as the commuter KTM train has a station couple hundred meters from my house. But this time, we choose to use the LRT, which we need to do about 30 minutes of walking.
Crossing from the mega mall towards KL Eco city is this river, it's one of the river that made up of Kuala Lumpur. Two muddy stream gets together, and this is where the muddy flow looks like. Wait until it rain heavily, you'll see mud level raising so high and you'll have no doubt one day the whole Kuala Lumpur will be flooded with mud.
From the KL Eco City, it links to the light rail system. I didn't take much photos of the train and the platform, but I've compiled some of the video clips. Particularly the last few portion of underground shots, suddenly reminds me of this:
I try to take a snap a photo of the Daya Bumi building, unfortunately the lens doesn't work with me. I think I can do some setting to capture a clearer picture, but now it was already couple of days late. The picture looks fine when viewing from my phone screen, hence I did not suspect otherwise until now.
This is the lady that I always feels like wanted to bear hug from behind. At this age, after going through so much together, for the best or the worst, I'm truly grateful to have her with me.
After the short train ride with the home minister and the boy, off we set foot heading to Suria KLCC. My original intention was going to make some photoshot of the twin corn stock, but after seeing the amount of people queuing up at the door for security check, we decided to NOT going out from the mall. Otherwise, we'll have to go through the pain all over again.
Petrosains was once declared closing. Am surprised to see it still surviving.
Christmas decoration is still there. Am fortunate enough to take this photo with very little crowd. It feels like suddenly they are aware of me taking photos and all of them went away.
Those blue color stripes on the wall are actually LED screens.
Trying to grab some food without having to get out of the mall, top floor is slightly less crowded, but there's no food here.
Decided to crash into ISETAN, trying to grab something simple for the kid.
Home minister went and bought a donut for the boy, whilst we're standing by the side and start counting how many people are actually here
for window shopping.
There's absolutely no space for us to sit down, and the boy needs to eat. We decided to head to Avenue-K, yes another mall right opposite of the KLCC, but connected with the train platform.
Ordered a cup of Dalgona chocolate, at least we get to sit down and drink and also let the boy eat his food.
After food, we are done and ready to go back to Mid Valley. Before that, went to the loo and take a leak, so we don't leak IN the train.
That pretty much sum up the new year day. Closing meal is Sushi King, yet another mall nearby our house.

I recon I've been ranting a lot about life, and totally missed the point of living it. Since the gifts under the Christmas tree has been distributed, I had an opportunity to help the boy to put together his new project, a solar powered car.
I have always been wondering if solar power works, why do people still go for battery powered car? Don't have to go too far, look at Tesla. Why not solar power? We're going to find out from this project to know exactly why. Don't ask me now, I already have the answer, but let's get to the project. First, open package, it is very important to make sure all the parts is available, all the tools and partlist is supposed to be in the installation manual.
Once opened package.... well he boy totally gutted the user manual and start pulling parts from the holder. I was the one who is busy making sure all the parts are available. I don't want to spent half a day putting together a toy car that missing 1 part and the whole damn project go scrub.
I did thought of documenting every single part of it and make this a giant post, but then when I think of how often do I post in STEM community? Decided, nah! I'd just be the regular ASEAN guy whose trying to have fun all the time. We all need a little bit of science to live in this world, so let this be part of ASEAN stem experiment.
Project going so well, as it took us like less than an hour(probably more than an hour, but it feels like less than that), and all the parts are being put together(but ofcourse there are some extra screws... which we later found out it's supposed to be used to strap the cabin fixture to the chassis. Once again, it's very important to read the manual and follow instruction 🤣
Finally, we turned the power button.... there's absolutely nothing happen. Wait, did we messed up with the wiring? Did we miss the polar? Spend a little longer to check on the wiring and also the power chord that connect the solar panel, everything seems to be in place... except there's a battery compartment. Wait, I thought this is supposed to be a solar powered car? In the name of STEM experiment, we still dump the batteries in and it worked!
Ok now I we just made a point. For power to weight ratio, there's no way a small solar panel can generate enough ampere to power the motor. Besides, it's not like we can drive a solar powered car at night. And let's not forget, the battery itself is a dead weight when it's running out of current. I'm sure Elon Musk already have a equation of how much power to weight ratio can give the amount of distance per charge. And let's not forget the possibilities of having the entire car outer layer skin to be coated as solar power generator material. I hope you haven't watch the video before reading this.

Genting, is a very special place for most Malaysians. It's the only place that has a legal casino(to date 12/15/2021), right on top of the hill. Since the country has majority of Muslims, which gambling is illegal for that religion, Genting group had made a theme park to accommodate non-gambler as well. Therefore, today I'm going to take you for a quick tour with a video show of this place.
The original indoor theme park was closed for renovation(originally planned for 3 years of full renovation), and now has been on it 4th due to delay by the plannedemic. Since home minister got a company sponsored stay due to work required to attend a forum, so we tagged along. Good gracious God, the next day upon our checkout, is the actual soft opening day!
Kids spent no time, immediately dragged us there to queue up for ticket. Like any other extreme rides, minimum height is required so the occupants doesn't fall out from the cradle. I'm not exactly sure if this is a blessing, the hair made up of the balance of the minimum height, so he's actually allowed to go into the riders.
This part of the building is actually an extension. Previously, this is an outdoor amusement park, and now they have extended it. The ticketing counter setup was not efficient, as I can see some people actually jumping queue, but the operator weren't able to tell whether if they're following the queue. Not to mentioned, the first day of reopening, there's so many people at the queue, and probably everyone forgotten we're in the middle of plannedemic yo.
Each of these rides has their minimum height requirement. The big girl actually big enough to go for those extreme rides, but the boy... nah... he'll just have to stick to the milder version, and not many of those rides can fit them both.
I can't remember what was the rider's name, but it's a lifted up musical cup. If you watch the video, the cup that spinning the fastest, is this 2 little rascal. I know I should not be worry, but I'm just being a dad, and start wondering if they will throw up.
Isn't it amazing, for a ride and these kid sparks a conversation. I have no idea what were they talking about, but I know I don't like my dad to ask me everytime when I have a conversation with another person, so I didn't ask.
There are several other rides, which they're too fast to capture, like the glider. The speed is so fast and so violent, I simply fail to follow. Even looking at it makes me feel nausea. One last thing we did was the floating rides that surrounding the entire theme park. The operator told us, it usually 15, but since this is a soft opening, they charge 25. I was like... what the... she said, it make sense because after being closed for couple of years, people are eagerly wanting to spend time here, and especially after the plannedemic. So, this is the best time, even with extra payment, the people wouldn't mind to pay more. I have a question in my mind, which I didn't voice out. Are they going to adjust the price tag back to normal? Will you charge cheaper if you know people willing to pay a higher price?

Finally! It's the day of submission. I have completed my #22killl #22pushupchallenge for 22 days straight. I'm proud of the community who give me support. Despite knowing the video content are "taxed", I'm still getting full support from various people and community, I'm truly grateful for that. Not forgetting my home community ASEAN HIVE, with the God Father who take cares of all the curation work, Mr.@justinparke who continuously trying to enjoy my boring push up videos. I guess, this year I'm the only idiot does the challenge. And also old time military guy @futuremind that has provide me guidance and also sharing his experience continued to encouraged me on regular basis, to keep me motivated to complete this challenge. I really appreciate all that.
Still remember the borken toilet? Yes, it is exactly what happened. The maintenance guy texted us saying it was don repaired on Friday evening itself. This morning when I arrive office, no water. The bowl is full of disgusting stuff. Once again Don't understand how those fuckers think, to even shit on a broken toilet. There's a total of 12 floor in this building, each floor has at least 3 toilet, why do they has to come here and destroy my toilet. Clearly, the maintenance guy didn't fix it, he probably only turn off the water supply. After some message exchange, he finally come clean saying he's sitll waiting for parts for the replacement. This time around, I didn't even shut the toilet door. I just plonk the cover on top of the bowl, and whoever trying anythign funny, they'll have to lift that cover, open the toilet seat and see what is inside first before they start doing their business on top of other people business. Fuck the rest of the world. I will go to other floors and shit on their toilet bowl from now on. Oh wait... may be I can...
KFC is just opposite of my office. So, I had a good time, taking in and letting out there. That's about all for the day. Let's go back to #22kill. I've dong some research on my local military, to found that they don't need donation. There's no official support group for retired soldiers here. I try to do some research online regarding army and donation, and there's a bunch of INCORPORATED CHARITY organization popped up, where probably a big portion of the donations goes to the employee and the directors, and only like 5% of the actual fund goes to the destination. Best part of it is, when Google suggested these Ads to me right on top of the search list, the top 5 are PAID advertisement, promoted!!! That makes perfect sense. So your charity organization just spent a 5 million dollar budget on a promotion AD, in order to boost ~~sales~~ donation? You don't need me to tell you which legalized scamming organization they are. I'm still searching for an actual charity to donate my earnings in order to help. I'll make an inform post when I get it done. November is coming to an end in a week. if I don't get to find anything to donate, I'll probably spend all these fund on a shopping spree, and load up my car with household goods and send them to the local orphanage.

It's the last 2nd day of the 22 push up challenge, and things has changed, especially perception. It was originally meant for challenging on my strength. At this point of time, I took it as a will challenge. I know exactly what will power is, and we don't get the power until we obtained the ultimate control of our own mind to do something we "think" we can do it. Instead of think, we start to do it.
In today's video, I'm give you a hint of my weekend life, how I am properly "tuned" to my weekend routine, chores after chores, and more chores. I'm glad I find time to answer @justinparked and @futuremind, and I talked a little bit about why sometime I look lethargic doing the 22 reps, but sometimes I look very energetic and did more than 22. Since I have talked about it, I'm not going to repeat it here.
I'm also kick starting my interval sprint running routine. Frankly, even for an 800meter sprint could take my life. I did not wear my facemask when I perform the sprint and I know I could kill myself if I had my face covered. There's not enough oxygen to the brain on rapid elevated heartbeat.
Fortunately, the park has almost absolutely no one. I though I came too early, but the sun position suggested otherwise. Looking at the west, scanning through all the way to the east, there's just not much people around. It's a good thing for me not having my mask on since I'm doing the sprint. But, where are those "health conscious" people that popped out of nowhere couple of weeks back? I remember last week there's still so damn many people walked their dog... sorry I mean their boyfriends... I can't really tell apart nowadays. Not forgetting those who wear perfume for a jog at the park. I really thank them for not showing up today. I promise I will continue to run as long as these people doesn't show up.
Anyway, the challenge has to end tomorrow, and I still couldn't decide if I should continue. But I will most probably NOT going to make more video after this. May be I will still make, but definitely not forcing you guys to see me doing push up only.

No one promise us life is going to be easy. Having a weekend doesn't mean one can really take a good rest, especially when you have a family with kids, living urban lifestyle.
Fortunately, there's nothing too serious a glass of lemonade couldn't settle. In the warm afternoon, after fetching kids from tuition, went to Uncle Don's for a "not so quick" lunch.
Restaurant located at the business hub, very near to my house. Probably 3km away. If there's no traffic jam, I think we can reach there in less than 5 minutes. But, this is Kuala Lumpur. So, we can all forget about the km and the minutes is going to be like at least half an hour in the traffic and another half an hour looking for parking spot.
Girl got a plate of luncheon meat fried rice, and I got myself a plate of chicken chop . In a country that eat a lot of spicy stuff, even the chips are seasoned with chili pepper powder.
Boy got a plate of fish and chips. It's funny, despite the chips is seasoned with chili pepper powder, but the boy said it's not spicy, whilst finishing his glass of lemon tea. I thought his spicy tolerance level is up to capsicums, but apparently he just choose which spiciness he likes. Next time, I'm gonna order spicy fried chicken and see if that can get him start training to eat spicy.
Home minister also got herself a plate of fried noodle. I tried some of it. It's spicy, but at the same time the herb they used made it very fragrant and savory.
Since it's a fairly heavy lunch, dinner were decidedly a bowl of porridge, so to keep it light. I know this is not going to work if I'm trying ot lose weight, but this is the kind of comfort food we Asian used to.
Home minister got a bowl of spicy sour rice noodle. It's a traditional dish we enjoyed, with various kind of spices into the already spicy soup. With the fermented shrimp paste, this bowl of noodle smells just like a fishing boat.
Since the porridge is already a light dinner, so I must have bent my mind a little and got myself some fish ball to go with my dinner.
Last but not least, I had to spoil my diet program with a bowl of caramel custard we packed from last week, during my home town visit. It's been a week, and I'm just afraid if it go spoil and I had to ditch it(probably spoiled now, but I couldn't tell the difference from the taste just yet, so let's assume it's safe to eat).
22pushupchallenge almost came to an end. And this is the most dangerous point of time when I start to get confused, tiredness sets in and kill my shoulders. At times, I will think I already uploaded my video proof of work. Today(yesterday), is the exact kinda situation. I suddenly remember I still haven't do my workout and had to jump off from bed to get it record, edit, upload and finally to create this post.

Usually Friday morning, I need to meet up with an insurance agent who particularly does hospitalization and medical insurance. He's the guy who initially forced me to breakfast together with him at least once a week, same place, same time. For the past 4 years, we've been practicing the same. Except last year, since pandemic we had to follow strict government deployed procedure and also observe travel ban.
We do roast pork every friday, and particularly ordering pork collar. It's a very special request to order the piggy neck as there's so much of fat there, and these fat is not like pork belly kind of fat, these need to chew. As if it's a very tough gummy bear(apologize for spoiling your appetite). Until last this August, everything came to a halt. My agent had unfortunately killed by the pandemic.
Time had passed, the person who's gone is now in a better place. We, still need to eat. My bunch of client whom inherited from the deceased make calls and we make it happen again. Every Friday, same place, same time, we will continue the legacy of roasted pork collar. So crunchy, so chewy, so tasty, so.... high cholesterol. Wait! I thought I'm supposed to go on diet...
That said, having too much fun is a sin. After the breakfast, added with the traffic, stomach is buzzing and ammoshaft is eagerly pushing the limit behind the door. It's gonna blow anytime soon. I rushed back to my office, getting ready for some serious business. Soon as I rumble down the toilet door, to found out the entire toilet looks like a swimming pool. You see, this is a corporate building, and my floor had a renovated toilet, clean tiles and new partition. Even the next door fuckers come to my building, and out of so many floor, they must use our toilet, you know how comfortable our toilet is. The float does not work with the stopper, and therefore the water tank overflow. I took the trouble to verify and assess the damage, and totally forgotten about my own shit.
After several attempt, it is confirmed that the floating device is stuck due to rust. The anchor is broken and there's nothing to stop the water inlet keep pumping. I had to turn off the damn tab, lock the toilet door, stick a bloody piece of paper on the door to stop someone from further abusing the toilet. By the time I settle all these, I don't feel like going to use the next door toilet anymore. I still can't brain how can those people be so selfish? They break the damn thing, and still use it, and leave the running water flood the entire toilet, no one report to the management office, nobody take the initiative to shut the tab and put a sign.

Let's talk about eating healthy. I've done some study on eating eggs. There's some controversy about how cholesterol causing chronicle disease and middle age man like myself should avoid egg yolk. But, none of the study I found online relate those diseases. No doubt, egg yolk is high fat, but it's also very high in nutrition.
Do you know there's thi urban saying amongst the Asian guys? Eating more egg whites helps to produce more semens. LOL. I also did some study on that. Technically, the major ingredient of semen is water, iron and protein. So, if there's anything a Chinese guy thinking to eat and generate more sperm, it's supposed to be the yolk, which contain more selenium, good for reproduction. Below is an unrelated Korean movie, parental guide yo. Start from 13:25 and please try to watch it until 16:20.
May be I did thought of this movie whilst having my breakfast, eggs. Decided to meet my client for lunch at Seoul Station. I had some Kimchi, a hug bowl of Korean fried chicken rice, absolutely tasty! And totally forgotten I want to lose weight.
Meeting continued at the Brussels, since this is not a restaurant review, I'm just going to quickly grind through some of these healthy daily routine. Roast pork and a glass of Mocha. Client had a beer.
Dinner is fried noodle soaked in egg broth. Once again, more eggs. If food is really what the Chinese traditional thinking, I think I'll grow more than 2 balls now. I think I need a bigger crotch pants so I can fit all my eggs under.
Push up of 18 days, there's only 4 days left. Looking back, I did improved a lot. Feels alot easier nowadays. Despite I'm not doing full form, but I can now easily achieve the numbers. Will I continue to do it? I don't know, may be? May be not? But I think I wanted to make this a long term workout experience, set a fixed routine for me to keep working. In the end, sustainability is the key, to maintain a slightly healthier lifestyle.(Don't laugh)
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/vptkldee
I'm sorry guys, I will have to do a shorter version today. I had an appointment with the client by 2pm, but the rain prevent me to go on time. Not to mention, by the time we meet up at the rendezvous point, rain down pour until we could not get back into the car.
We hide out at one of the roadside hawker stall, enjoying the half rain wet fried noodle and call that lunch. Apologize, no photos due to the rain, and still need to conserve energy for the survey.
By the time we manage to make a move, we're already more than an hour behind schedule, and worst is the factory were "not ready" for survey. Well then, as an insurance officer for more than a decade, I totally understand the lingo. Which means there is non-compliance and the manufacturer is probably doing some "exercise" to clear things up so I can take photo of the best.
Spending a little bit more time here and there and in the end, not much achieve. I don't think the business can be sealed, by the look of the factory, I wouldn't even wanna recommend to deal business with. By the look of the factory, and the horrible housekeeping, it seriously looks like disaster is around the corner.
Home minister bought a takeout Chinese food for me, spicy sour squid. I know I'm not supposed to, but can't help it. I really need to start preparing my own food if I were to slim down.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/dirlvjra
We're back to school for 2nd day now, everything seems to be "normal". I'm sure there's a set of rules in the school, but I haven't attended the teacher parents meeting, so I'm not too sure what are the measurement they took. But I'm sure steps needed are being taken care. Now what left is kids to take care of their personal hygiene.
As we went to school before 7am, there's still very little at the street. I'm not too sure if it's too little people dare to go to school? Or was it some other arrangement. So far, I only know only half should turn up to school. The kids will be taking turn to attend class. Sometimes I've been thinking, what's the point? Does it mean this half of the student not in school, have only 50% chance contracting that virus?
Today breakfast, protein base shake. Well, it's absolutely not reasonable in terms of pricing, but that's the price we pay if we're too lazy to prepare our own food. I'm not going to do marketing for this company, I'm just going to start doing it all over again as if I did 8 years ago.
When one have less time to workout, the next best thing to take care of is diet. I read an article the other day, a guy at the age of 50's decided to ditch takeout food and chocolate, brought down his body fat to 9%. I mean, if he's in his 50s can do it, why cant me in the 40s do the same?
Lunch was a little late as I was stuck in the office to rush off some report. Appointment with the client is located at the far south of Kuala Lumpur, so I had to literally take the trouble go through the traffic in the raining afternoon.
I have ordered a set of bread, half boiled eggs, and a cup of coffee. I know I'm not supposed to take that coffee, but there's just no other non-caffeine beverage there. Once again, if we can't prepare our own food, restaurant will prepare fat food for us.
I think I shared with you the traditional thinking of why 2 eggs. I put a spoon in the middle and that probably give you a hint.
To some people, half boiled egg can be very disgusting. I had the same thinking when I was a small boy. Anytime if the egg is not cooked, I will vomit. But for some reason, don't remember since when my dad told me to dip the toast bread into the semi cooked egg, I started to like the taste and since then it never stop. I've got a weak stomach, but still can't resist of half boiled eggs.
See, restaurant nowadays doesn't even spread for you anymore. They made this a as a eat out lifestyle now. I still can't brain why should I pay them and I still have to do half the job. It's a piece of bread yo. I can pay the same price and have a loaf of bread at home and spread as much butter as I can and eat the whole damn loaf all 3 meal a day.
Today's workout, I just decided to hit a few more reps and not surprise I can still do it. Perhaps, I should restart my full workout after this? Frankly, I don't really want to record my workout. It's super boring to watch someone repeatedly doing the same movement on screen(but ofcourse with the exception of porn). 6 more days to go. Please bear with me for the time being.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=davidke20/dspclsgf
Excuse me for bringing up the van, which was a Chinese medicine transport, by the brand name of Tongji. It's nothing crazy, but somehow the brand name reminds me of my uncle in China, where he stays in Tongji Road. He was a reformer that decided to go "back" to China and help the country back in the 60s. But ofcourse, as every hero of that era, there's just too much of imagination used and bunch of craziness sets in and got every foot step on the wrong mine.
He live a faithful life in the country of the PRC, and I was happy to have visited him once 10 years ago. That was exactly November of 2011. And now he's no longer here, and still left me thinking how much hardship he had to go through to set up his own family there.
I'm feeling exhausting after 15 days of push up. 1 more week left. Physically, I don't really feel that much of a pain anymore. I think I can do more, but I just doesn't seem to feel happy doing it anymore. I know myself very well, if I don't have a camera and a commitment on the blockchain, I will just quit and pretend I haven't started anything.
As I'm getting older, my testosterone level is probably having their steep dive. I tried to sleep in, but I couldn't really get that much of a deep sleep. Especially after a week off from work last week, today I was like half the time in the office my mind is out of my body.
I don't know what to do. I'm not always like this, if you know me I'm more of an entertainer. I am not only entertain others, sometimes I talk to myself and entertain myself. How many idiot would write down a sentence on a piece of paper, and read them backward to make fun? I'm that asshole. But sometimes, like today, things just got so emotional and I don't even feel like wanna make this post. I'm sorry if this post brings you any negativity, but I'd appreciate if you send me a prayer and keep my spirit up.
Amen?

School is starting tomorrow, so I gotta make this very last day count. I mean, after school starts, I'm gonna be spending more time on the road than usual, with my busy schedule now, I need to restructure the time I spent on games and blogging, and also take time to reply posts as I was fall behind after several days visit my parents at my home town.
Went to the park for a morning walk, but I haven't really pull out my phone and shoot photo as I'm busy dodging incoming humans(or zombies). If you remember the car park above, this outdoor car park usually vacant, as people preferred to park in door, is also now occupied. You can imagine it's so many people nowadays at the park. I'm seriously considering NOT going back to that place, or may be choose even earlier time to do my workout, like 6am in the morning?
We had lunch at that Japanese restaurant again. Not exactly the affordable one, but due to home minister had an appointment with her college mate from many years ago, finally have time to catch up, we decided to meet at this restaurant. It's clean and not too crowded, good for friends get together. My meal, as usual a bowl of fried rice and a salmon head. I have a photo of AFTER the meal, but rather not post it. If any of you request, I'll reply under your comment, how do I eat the salmon head.
As I also notice, towards year end, sunset has changed to half an hour earlier. We used to "shut off" the sun by 8pm, it's now dimmed by 7:30pm. Not exactly sure how, may be that's where the earth tilting angle causes it? Kids had their KFC dinner, and I got myself 2 pieces of fried chicken from A&W. Yes, you heard that right. I took the trouble drove all the way to get fried chicken from A&W. That pretty much sum up the day and I need to get some rest so I can get up early tomorrow and send the kids to school.
