Experience the cheat code to weight loss with a 7-exercise challenge - just bike, swim, dance, jump rope, climb stairs, hike, and walk!
In this episode, I highlighted seven exercises that can be used to burn calories and lose weight: biking, swimming, dancing, jumping rope, climbing stairs, hiking, and walking. Biking can burn between 400 to 600 calories an hour, swimming 600 to 800 calories an hour, dancing 300 to 400 calories an hour, jumping rope 1800 to 1000 calories an hour, climbing stairs 300 to 400 calories an hour and hiking 300 to 500 calories an hour. Walking is the most accessible and can burn around 200 calories an hour. With a 200 calorie deficit per day in addition to one of these exercises, you can lose a pound of fat in a week
"Walk for an hour a day, 200 calorie deficit. On average, you'll be at about a pound of fat loss per week. You didn't even lift weights. You didn't change much. If anything, you helped yourself because now you're getting more exercise."
In this episode, you will learn the following:
Did you know that biking can burn up to 600 calories an hour?
Did you know that swimming can burn up to 800 calories an hour?
Did you know that jumping rope can burn up to 1000 calories an hour?

Struggling to stay motivated on his fat-burning journey, an exhausted Joe Schmo discovers the ironic solution to his dilemma: low-intensity List cardio, a 10,000 step-a-day challenge that offers improved cardiovascular health, increased endurance, less joint impact, and improved fat loss.
I learned about Low-Intensity Steady State Cardio (LISS) from research on walking for fat loss. It is a low-impact form of cardio with benefits such as improved cardiovascular health, increased endurance, low impact on joints, and fat loss. It involves walking 10,000 steps a day or more, which is approximately 5 miles. It is a simpler and more functional form of exercise than High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
"Walk more than you normally do and you burn fat - it's literally that simple!"
In this episode, you will learn the following:
What is the secret to burning fat without high-intensity interval training?
What are the four major benefits of low intensity steady state cardio?

When (insert your name here, yes your name) strives to improve his/her health by adding 6 superfoods to his/her diet, s/he discovers an ironic twist - cooking is required to reap the benefits, not just eating fast food. (Now didn't that feel so much more personal?😃)
I recently learned about Superfoods, including Blueberries, Spinach, Salmon, Avocado, Quinoa, and Chia Seeds. Blueberries are high in antioxidants and can be added to smoothies, yogurt, or oatmeal. Spinach is also high in nutrients and low in calories, and can be easily added to salads, omelets, or sandwiches. Salmon is a good source of protein and omega three fatty acids, and avocado is a great source of healthy fats. Quinoa and couscous are grains that are high in protein and fiber, and chia seeds are high in fiber and antioxidants. Adding chia seeds to a smoothie is a great way to stay full for a long time.

"Sloppy success beats perfect mediocrity."
Welcome back to another episode of the Motivate Grind Succeed podcast. This week, we're talking about the destructive effects of perfectionism. As a former perfectionist, I can relate to a lot of these points. Perfectionism can lead to negative self-talk, an inability to accept that things will never be just right, and strained relationships. The most destructive effect of perfectionism, in my opinion, is having an all-or-nothing mentality. This all-or-nothing thinking can lead to missing out on opportunities because you're waiting for everything to be perfect. But the truth is, things will never be perfect. So, it's important to leave room for mistakes and to just go for it.
In this episode, you will learn:
2. The destructive effects of perfectionism on mental health.
3. The destructive effects of perfectionism on productivity.

"It's better to try and fail than to not try at all."
I'm always trying new things to see what works for me. I've tried YouTube, drop shipping, and now I'm onto podcasting. With each new venture, I've learned something new. And even though some of them may have been "failures," I'm grateful for the experience. I wouldn't have known what I enjoyed or what fulfilled me if I hadn't tried anything at all. So, I encourage you to try new things and not be afraid to fail. You never know what you'll discover about yourself.
In this episode, you will learn the following:
The less you say, the more your words will matter.
What you focus on becomes the focus.
Better to try and fail than to not try at all.
If you enjoy the show and get a ton of value, I would love it if you could leave a rating/review and sharing the episode with just 1 person.

"So they'll start something and then they'll do it for like two months and then they'll quit and say it didn't work."
In this episode of the Motivate Grind Succeed podcast, I reveal the three important life lessons that you're not going to learn in school.
In this episode you will learn:
The truth about money and happiness
The importance of detachment
The necessity of taking your time to achieve great things
I'm always hearing people say that money is the root of all evil, but I don't believe that. I think it's the love of money that is the root of all evil. Money is just a tool that can be used to provide us with experiences and things that make us happy. It's not happiness itself. I also think it's important to not let our emotions override our intelligence. We should always make decisions in a place of logical reasoning, not from a place of anger or happiness. Finally, I think it's important to realize that great things take time. There is no such thing as overnight success. It takes years of hard work and dedication to achieve greatness

[00:00:41] - This week's episode is going to be about why you might be exhausted. This week we're going to talk about the five reasons why number one is not getting good quality REM sleep. Number two is stress. Number three is too much caffeine. Number four is imbalances in diet. Dietary imbalances can be caused by too much protein, too many carbs, too many fats, or too much sodium. Too much of anything that is giving an imbalance to your diet will prevent you from sleeping. Too much caffeine can also be a reason why you are not getting enough sleep.
[00:08:00] - The reason why you might be exhausted is because of a sedentary lifestyle. When I don't do my workouts, I usually have a lot of excess energy, and cannot go to bed and fall asleep easily. I have to make sure I depletes my physical and mental energy reserves.
[00:09:38] - This week's episode is coming to an end. Before the episode ends, he reminds people to subscribe to the show and follow him on social media. Chris is an average guy who had a white-collar job in the corporate world and followed the only thing he knew for decades, conventional wisdom and conventional investments.
This worked relatively well until 2009 when he experienced an illiquidity event where he lost 55% of his assets and thousands of dollars per month in cash flow. Then, Chris read Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad, and his mind was opened to a different type of investing, investing in real assets and private deals mostly insulated from the volatility, risk, and taxation of the stock market (alternative investments).
In just nine years, Chris recouped the 55% he had lost and multiplied it many times over and now shares his experience and knowledge with you through this alternative investment blog at TheProlificInvestor.net.

Christa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000. She was immediately drawn to Emergency Medicine and was a trauma nurse for 8 years. She was able to experience working in this field in hospitals around the country including New York City and Norfolk, Virginia. Christa earned her Masters Degree in Nursing from Texas State University in 2018 and is a board-certified nurse practitioner in Family Practice Medicine. She was the sole practitioner in a clinic specializing in weight loss, hormone balance, and aesthetics.
During this time she realized the toolbox of what she could offer for health solutions was too limited for how she wanted to serve her patients. She wanted a better way to help women achieve lasting health results. With that vision in mind, Christa began her journey with the School of Applied Functional Medicine, learning the root cause approach to personalized healthcare. In August of 2020, Christa launched her virtual health practice, Elive Health, and is now able to provide help to women around the country via webcam.
As a functional-medicine expert, she specializes in clinically investigating underlying factors of fatigue, hormone balance, thyroid issues, digestive issues, and more. Christa uses breakthrough diagnostic testing that’s rarely done in conventional settings to uncover the hidden causes of why women feel the way they feel.

David R. Edwards worked his way through school eventually achieving a BA in Business and MBA in Healthcare Administration. He served mostly lower-income people on 3 continents over the last 35 years and is familiar with the challenges and unfairness of life. In 2018 while working with doctors, dentists, counselors, and community health workers he had an epiphany. The core challenge most people have is to generate the personal drive to direct their own life, enduring principles to guide, and the most current science-based tools to assist them through a bumpy and messy life.
His first book “New You! Who Knew?” is an attempt to put in writing an easy-to-digest and implement guide that builds confidence, esteem, and self-compassion in balance.

Why don’t people lean into or fall into their purpose? Why is it that so many times a great opportunity will present itself, only for an individual to let it go by the wayside? If we break down what the root cause is, chances are that it has to do with fear and anxiety. These are extremely crippling and not only undermine our daily performance but also prevent us from doing what we were called to do. So, today, we are talking about fear and anxiety and what you can do to prevent it from having a hold on your life.

If you ever watched the movie ‘Up’, you’ll probably recognize the line “I’m tired….my feet hurt….I need to go to the bathroom”. One of the funniest lines in the movie, arguably speaking, but I bring this up to pose the question of how many times do we say that we are tired or are low on energy? Is it because you’re busy or because you are performing actions (or not performing actions) that you should be. Today, we are going through 4 ways that you can have more natural energy.

If you want to grow in anything, it involves getting uncomfortable. Remember back when you were younger, like puberty age, and you hit a growth spurt and your body probably hurt a little? That is a biological example of actual growth needing discomfort. So that begs the question, why do we want growth in the comfort zone?

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you’ll miss it. Wise words from Ferris Bueller, and true too. If you are always work, work, work, work, work, work like that 2016 Rihanna, you won’t truly enjoy life. In fact, you may find yourself even despising it because of everything that you have to do. If that is the case, then are you truly grateful?
