Janis Irwin was elected to represent Edmonton-Highlands-Norwood in 2019. Janis is currently the Official Opposition Deputy Whip and the Critic for Women and LGBTQ2S+ Issues. She joined Madeline to talk about careers, government and cats.
The Honourable Yonah Martin is a Conservative Senator from British Columbia. She is the first Canadian of Korean descent to serve in the Senate of Canada and the first Korean-Canadian parliamentarian in Canadian history. Senator Martin is currently the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and joined Madeline for a chat about her outstanding career and current work.
For our next guest, Emma-Jane and Madeline are talking to Nicola Spurling about their journey through politics, plus their love of art. Nicola previously ran as a BC Green candidate and is a strong LGBTQ2+ advocate.
