In 2008, at the age of 18, Taylor Swift released her second studio album “Fearless”. This album would go on to become the most awarded country album of all time, securing Taylor Swift her first of three Grammy awards for album of the year, at the time making her the youngest artist to achieve this feat. The album is certified diamond by the RIAA and continues to be one of the most acclaimed albums of all time. Flash forward to 2021, Taylor Swift releases a re-recorded version of Fearless titled “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”. This re-recording features all of the songs on the original as well as the platinum edition album and includes the song; Today Was a Fairytale originally recorded for the Valentines Day movie, as well as 6 additional vault tracks. For chronological purposes and the way I have this podcast set up, in season 2 we will only be covering the songs originally featured on Fearless and Fearless Platinum Edition, don’t worry, we will get to the vault songs after they’re all here!
