From the key foundation of certainty of imaan to practical steps to implement into our lives, we share some things that really resonated with us. It’s so important to keep growing and learning, but our knowledge of our own religion is too often neglected. We hope that after listening, you too will pick up the book and start changing your life for the better!!!

In this episode Habibah touches upon her experiences living in Palestine, where she talks about the beautiful and the ugly - the generosity and kind hearts of the Palestinian people, the vast beauty of the land, feelings when visiting Jerusalem and masjid Al-Aqsa for the first time, going through checkpoints, staying in a refugee camp and more.
The Palestinians struggle is one close to our hearts and a very important topic that needs to be discussed. Habibah has lived in the West Bank and has seen first hand the struggles Palestinians go through on a daily basis. We discussed the importance of using social media as a tool to raise awareness, resist and fight against the injustices. We also spoke about the parallels and differences between the way the world responded to BLM and the Palestinian struggle.
Another Ramadan Special as we talk about whether or not we successfully implemented our Ramadan goals, the importance of Layla tul Qadar and what it means to us, what we took from this Ramadan and how we’re planning to continue our good Ramadan habits!
EPISODE 8: In this episode, we are joined by a very special guest Ustadah Uzma Jung who shares her wisdom with us. We’re halfway through Ramadan now and this episode can serve as a much needed imaan booster!
TOP TIPS: 1) An act of worship - there’s so many things we can do to worship Allah but pick one to really focus on. Will it be extra prayers? Or reading more Quran? Learning the meaning? Donate to a charity or two?
2) An act of service - be helpful to someone in your life for the sake of Allah. Help your mum in the kitchen, make life easier for your wife or husband, treat your children kindly. Put yourself second this Ramadan and serve those who have obligations on you.
3) A character trait - think deeply about what you need to improve or ask someone close to you what you need to improve in your character. Curb your anger, grow your patience and strive to have the best character.
So, what will you be choosing for your top 3? Make a note to yourself and share with us! May Allah accept all our fasts this month and make this our best Ramadan yet.
In this episode we debate the idea of women having it all - the perfect career and being the perfect mother. We also touch upon our Ramadan preparations.
This week we talk about the Oprah interview with Harry and Meghan, the tragic case of Sarah Everard and female harasssment. We then touch upon self love and how important it is to work on before marriage
In this episode we just have a good old chit chat where we touch upon a few different topics such as parenthood, marriage, how we deal with bad days, the books we are currently reading, our hijab struggles and MORE
In episode 4, we go deep and discuss issues of racism and discrimination in our world today. From the tragedy of George Floyd last summer to experiences right here in the UK, we have the important conversation about the nuances of structural racism.
As a disclaimer, these are just our thoughts and we understand that this topic is way bigger than us. So we will be sharing much more information on how to gain more knowledge in this area from the people who really know what’s it’s all about - including Akala and Reni Eddo-Lodge (who we mention in this episode too!) Look out for our upcoming posts on our Instagram @twice_inspired, enjoy the episode and share your thoughts in the comments when you have!
This episode we have London Girls join our conversation where we talk about the pressures of social media, staying accountable as Muslims and much more! Aaishah also tells us about her new inspiring initiative #NoFilterFebruary
In our second episode, we talk about friendships and how keeping good people around you influences you positively. We reflect on a few gems from Omar Suleiman’s ‘Angels in Your Presence’ YouTube series that came out last Ramadan. We also have a look at Dale Carnegie’s bestseller ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’. Avoiding arguments, ignoring your haters but defending your brothers and sisters in Islam are some of the lessons we learn. Give us a listen and reflect on your own friendships.

Hi there! So - 2020 right?! It was the best worst year we could have ever asked for. From restrictions to lockdowns to breakdowns and an identity crisis (or two), I think it’s fair to say that everyone was affected in some way. Nothing will really be the same again. But we can always keep moving forward, staying positive and simply trying our best.
Welcome to our brand new podcast Twice Inspired with us, best friends, Habibah and Shukri. In our first episode, we talk about the craziness of 2020 and how it led to us creating new habits. Habits are powerful and cultivating the right ones can be super difficult but are definitely worth it in the long run. We discuss Charles Duhigg’s best seller, The Power of Habit and Hal Elrod’s famous Miracle Morning. We dive into our struggles and what kept us going along the way. Give this episode a listen to find out how we tried to change our habits and become better versions of ourselves. And make sure to give us your thoughts once you have. We can’t wait to hear from you!
In our introduction we tell you guys a little bit about who we are and what Twice Inspired is all about. We also include a few sneak peaks of our first episode to give you guys a taste of what we’re all about! Enjoy!
