How do we navigate this season and fully accept the newness that God is bringing us into?

This year let's take back the power that we put in others hands to approve us and become settled in our souls in who we are becoming.
In this episode, I give you 3 things you can start doing now to disrupt the cycle of people pleasing, not being honest with your true feelings, seeking excessive reassurance, and more!

I'm honored God allowed me to share my family with you. ❤️
We hope this video sparks conversation with your family and brings you joy, encouragement, and refreshment! Happy viewing!💚🤍🖤
Hello My Refreshed Sister❤️ If you've been following me for sometime now, you know that my heart is to release episodes that are God-breathed. Lately, I haven't released an episode because God is changing RTS Podcast and the way I show up. He birthed this podcast in me, so I'm eager to share the new direction He is taking it. I pray you leave this episode encouraged the more to follow God's leading and rest in His ways, no matter how scary or different it may look.
We can hold ourselves captive to our past mistakes and shortcomings, and not give ourselves permission to receive the good that God wants to bless us with because we feel unworthy of it. So we sabotage relationships, jobs, opportunities…you name it. We punish ourselves by pushing the good we don’t feel we deserve, and settle for less. My sister, I want to let you know that your past does not qualify your future, only God does. Let yourself go. God has.❤️
I remember the place of feeling angry and frustrated, yet confused if it was ok to show it. The feeling of being scared but afraid to say it. I was torn between the ache of my feelings and how to respond in a way that still pleased God. The question that burned in my heart was, "God how do I be?" God so lovingly heard my heart without a word leaving my lips and sent an older lady to me to say, "God wants you to know, whatever you're doing, keep doing it." What was I doing? I was BEING with God. I invited God to be with me and me with Him in every essence of my life and my heart. With Him is where I'm being set free to be ME. Our being starts with being with God.❤️
I GIVE UP! I give up the weight of how I want things to look and go, for what God wants! There's only so far we can go with so much weight. What do you believe you need to surrender in order to move forward in who God is calling you to become? There is something(s) we have to give up to go forward. Let's talk about it!
When we daily decide to break up with the old version of ourselves, we can accept who we were always designed to be. Check out this week's episode as we continue to breakdown what we need to move forward.
You've been honest. You've addressed the pain. You've allowed yourself to feel. You've allowed God and His Truth into the sacred place of your heart. It's time to move forward. God's best for you is ahead of you.❤️
A Safe Space Form
You have permission to ask questions.
I understand that your past may have taught you to keep your questions to yourself to avoid belittlement, offense, weird looks or an image of weakness…
…but my sister, in order to become what God already knows about us, we must tap into wisdom outside of our own understanding.
While there is an internal work and healing we are accountable for, God did not call us to do the work alone. He has set safe spaces to aid you as you heal and process.❤️🩹
Over the years and in my marriage, these are some vital things I’ve learned to do to create a safe space for honesty, questions and transparency:
👉🏾Ask
👉🏾Listen
👉🏾Validate
Find out in this week’s episode how each of these play a part in creating a safe space.
A Safe Space Form
How are you creating a safe space in your relationships, in your home, your job, or the ministry God has called you to?
Last week we covered some reasons why it's hard to be honest about your feelings, your desires, the need for help, etc...and ways we can begin to move out of that place.
This week we are discussing ways to create a safe space for others to be honest.
One mindset shift we need to establish is that someone's vulnerability and honesty is a gift, not a green light to impose your frustration or opinion of where someone is at or should be on their journey. How do you treat gifts that are given to you?🎁 Let's talk about it!

Are you being honest with yourself, with God, and others?
In this episode, I share reasons why we may find it hard to be honest and ways we can begin to allow God to soften this place in us.
Let’s continue the conversation about creating a safe space!
Also will you share your heart with me about your ideal safe space? Click here: A Safe Space - Questionnaire
Creating A Safe Space - Form A safe space is required to recover and heal.❤️🩹 You must feel safe to share, ask, cry, get it wrong at times, and just be where you are without the guilt, shame or judgment for being there. When our safety is threatened, we are distracted from the rest and healing that God so wants us to experience. I believe God has called me to create a safe space for you to heal, because I so longed for it myself. I understand the importance and beauty of vulnerability that we can have with others.❤️ When we are open in safe community;❤️🩹The lie of feeling alone is shattered❤️🩹We can receive the love of God through others❤️🩹Heaviness is lifted through confession and intercession Will you share your heart with me on this and answer a few questions about your ideal safe space to heal? Are you in the middle of transitioning?
You may be moving locations, switching schools, changing jobs, or you're shifting from an old mindset to a Godly one.
Whatever transition you may be experiencing, it is sure to come with the ebbs and flows of feelings and thoughts that can lead to heaviness in the soul.
We can transition well and lightly!
heck out this week's episode as I share the 3 things that has helped me transition well🤍🖤

I recently asked God to show me my heart in a particular area. What He revealed I did not like.
To be completely honest, I felt a small sense of shame. 😞
I confessed and repented to God...and you know what His response was?
The engulfing of His Loving arms! I felt an extreme wave of love consume me in a place where I felt unworthy.😭
He uncovered something in me so He could heal me with His love.❤️
We will only know the depths of God's love to the extent we are willing to be uncovered. Let's get to heart of the soul and let Him love us deeper in the places we are ashamed of and want to keep hidden.
How do we begin to free the little girl in us?
Somewhere along the way, you were convinced that who you were brought embarrassment, punishment, and rejection.
And so, you rejected who you were and began to hide.
When I took the hand of God to pull me out of hiding, He clearly instructed me, "You must embrace and accept her again."
When we choose to love the little girl in us, we are choosing what God has already chosen.
Let's go deeper and hear more on how we free the little girl in us.
As a little girl you may have experienced being shamed for doing something wrong, punished for voicing your feelings, or feeling unseen unless you performed well.
While you aged, the little girl who learned how to hide herself didn't.
She convinces you that you have to be perfect in order to be loved, to be quiet in order to stay safe, and to perform in order to be validated.
It's time to free the little girl in you...in me...so that we can live freely and authentically.
God did something special in this episode I had to make it 2 parts!
Hey Refreshed Sister! I'm BACK!!!
I can't wait to share all that God has been doing in my soul and how I am being refreshed by Him.
Over the summer break I have been taking "gratitude walks" with my oldest son. While it was meant to be a creative way to get him to see how much he has to be grateful for, it turned into walks of conversations that brought us closer together.
How is your walk with God?
Do you find your prayers and devotion time is mostly spent to receive something from God rather than being with Him?
Yes, God wants to heal you, give you wisdom, and guide you on the path He called you to...AND God wants to walk with you, day by day. He is relational, not situational.
Let's talk more in this episode on how we can walk closer with God...
Have you been singing the same worry song in your soul? God wants you to sing to Him a new song, but it requires you getting rid of the old song you have on repeat in your heart and soul. What if...I can't...I'll never...This is too much...If only... Choose today to sing a new song! God is! God can! God will!
So often we look for peace in places outside of us...the calm of an ocean, a quiet and clean house, check marks off our to do list...but true peace resides in the God within us. In this episode, I have a conversation with Dr. PBJ about the signs we avoid when we are no longer in rest, how disrupt cycles of burnout, and that true peace starts with you!
Anxiety can feel like a giant in our soul. There are things that we have wrestled with for years that cause us to become anxious and to see our lives anxiety-free can seem impossible. But with God, there is no giant too big, no wall too high or gate too protected, for Him to tear down and win the battle for you! Listen to this episode to be encouraged and reminded that God has given you the victory over anxiety!
Instead of normalizing and submitting to the bouts of anxiety, we can began to take control by slowing down and looking at what is triggering our anxiety. There's a root behind the anxiousness and it starts with our thoughts. Let's breathe, pause and ask Holy Spirit to help us pinpoint what areas in our lives we need to shift our perspective! I will also give you 3 simple identifiers to help you move forward from an anxious place!
Do you find yourself battling worries and trying to keep the anxiety in your soul at bay? Sometimes life can seem overwhelming and we can tend to hold it in our souls. Our souls were never meant to carry heavy weights such as anxiety. This week I want to refresh your souls by first coming to an honest place about your worries. Think about it, Write about it, Pray about it! It's time to release it from your soul and get it out! Tell God all the details. He wants to know and He wants to exchange your anxiety for His wonderful peace!
In today's replay episode I want to encourage and remind you what the word already say's about you - you are an Overcomer! Now let's chose to walk out this life with a new mindset that God has created you for more than conquering, He has created and perfectly fashioned you to live free and bring Glory to His name!
In today's replay episode we break down 3 ways to uproot the victim mentality! When we try to change ourselves on our own, we will find ourselves left with more frustration and repeating the same cycles. As I learned to come to Jesus with my insecurities and fears, he began to show me in His Word how to uproot the lies I've longed believe. Sis, I pray that what I've learned motivates you to do the same! God is faithful to do His part, now let's be faithful to do ours!
MY APOLOGIES FOR THE MIC QUALITY! In today's Summer Replay episode, we get to the root of how we see ourselves when we respond from a victim mindset!
There are experiences, environments and words that have shaped the way we see ourselves and in order to break out of the victim mentality, we must discover the root story we've been telling ourselves.
This clarity will bring light to the reason you've been protecting yourself and begin to move you in the direction of believing who God says you are.

🌸 Choose to follow & obey Him

LISTENER FEEDBACK
When our hope dies so does our faith.
I want to encourage all those who have succumb to a life of pain, insecurities, and brokenness. YOU CAN BE HEALED!
I know you have only seen this version of yourself, but there is a healed and whole version of you that God knew before you were a thought! You do not have to walk around the same anymore.
The enemy wants us to doubt that God is a healer and that He is good, because it is our faith that releases His healing!
This week let's discuss:
❤️🩹 What Faith is
❤️🩹 Faith Releases Healing
❤️🩹 Living in His Peace (undisturbed and unbothered)
Desiring the Healer more than the Healing
Listener Feedback
Jesus is the balm your wounded soul needs!
His word says that He heals our broken hearts and binds up our wounds, healing our pain and comforting our sorrows (Psalms 147:3).
In this week’s episode, we journey through the story of the woman with the issue of blood to refresh our souls to know:
You have to let it breathe!
Have you ever had someone tell you that after you scraped or wounded yourself? You want to cover it to keep it from being exposed to more injury or you think that by covering it, you’re making it heal faster.
But oxygen is needed for healing natural and spiritual wounds.
In this week’s episode, we discuss:
❤️🩹What does covering look like
❤️🩹Hiding is our way of protecting ourselves
❤️🩹What does "letting it breathe" look like
❤️🩹What does letting it breathe look like
When we've been wounded, our first inclination is to STOP THE PAIN!🛑 The issue we run into is when we resort to quick fixes to numb the pain, convincing ourselves that no pain = healed. But when life touches the place where you were once wounded, your response will indicate if you have been healed. God wants to heal you AND make you whole, but it requires TIME! In this episode, we discuss how time gives you the space to feel, properly heal, and gain God's wisdom on how to move forward!
In the words of the song, "Joy in the Morning," by Tauren Wells... "If it's not good, then He's not done No, He's not done with it yet There will be joy in the morning" Don't allow the rejection or the loss to be the end of your story. It's one chapter to the many that are yet to unfold in your life. Expect to see God's goodness! He is faithful and true to the pages of your story He wrote long ago about you. As long as He's the Author, you best believe it's going to be GOOD!
Some of us have been deeply rejected and wounded, to which our trust has been destroyed. We don't trust man with our heart, our vulnerability, or our truth. So we show up as our false selves, saying yes when we should say no. Smiling when we're hurting. Protective when we need community. Let's start with trusting God. He's going to lead you from there. Open your heart and give Him a try with the tenderness of your soul.
What would happen when we take off the lens of rejection that we see ourselves through and choose to put on the lens of how God sees us? I see you initiating where you would once ask for permission. I see you keeping your heart open where you would once close up. I see you enduring and trusting God where you would once give up and turn back to what's comfortable. Let's get the eyes of our soul checked and walk in the redemption and love of our wonderful God!💕
We can subconsciously take on the identity of how people and life have treated us. When we have been dismissed, betrayed, or felt something was stolen from us, we can believe that we are not good, not enough, or not loved. I want us to begin by untethering what happened to us from who we are! Some people didn't know how to love you properly because they weren't shown that. God's grace and love is SO much bigger and wider than the trauma you may have faced.
If you constantly struggle with the whispers in your soul that tell you... "You're not enough""You're not wanted""You're not worthy" ....you may have allowed rejection to take root in your soul and change the way you see yourself. Join me this month as we come boldly to the One who overcame rejection and fulfilled everything God called Him to! We're walking out the book of Ruth each week to unlayer rejection, so that we may discover and plant new seeds of who God says we are!🤍 See you next Monday!👋
What are the thoughts you think toward yourself? Are they true, honest, pure and lovely? We can easily pick apart the things we don't like about ourselves and wish we could change, but when we adapt unhealthy thoughts toward ourselves we then move away from loving ourselves the way God loves us. God thinks good thoughts towards you, my sister, and has a great future for you! If you're having trouble loving yourself properly, let's discover in the word together what God's love is and how He sees us❤️
God tends to the garden of our souls with love, patience, and grace. So, in our learning, receiving correction, and renewing our minds, we too can be gracious to our souls.🤍 It's not one or the other. Grace is independent of the work you choose to do or how well you do it. Grace is a free gift from God! Let's receive His gift for our own souls so that we may know how to properly give it to others. WE have permission to be God's work in progress!🤍
You've been doing the work. You've been addressing the places you used to fear in your soul. You've embraced the discomfort in order to grow. You're showing up to God and giving Him the first fruits of your heart. Yet you don't see the change. That ache in your soul is still there. Sister, be patient with your soul. You may not see it yet but you are transforming! You are doing your part...so be patient in letting God do His.❤️ He will complete the work He began in you. He won't let you stay there.
So often we are told to be kind, to love one another, to forgive or to give grace. But how often are we showing up for ourselves in the same manner?
In this episode I share an area in my soul that needs wholeness and how God revealed that this same place also needs kindness, patience, grace and love.🤍
We will forever be transforming into the image of Jesus Christ, so while we are growing let's also grow to love ourselves the way God does--with patience and kindness!🖤
Start the year with me and declare, "I will be kind to my soul!"🤎
How can we experience joy when we're facing trouble or difficulty? The short answer, we have to choose it. 🖤❤️ Our joy is directly connected to Jesus. When we choose Him, we choose joy. In this episode, I share with you the 4 ways Holy Spirit refreshed my soul on how to choose joy in difficulty.**** Need More Refreshing? Follow me on my socials! Sometimes our tears can cloud the truth that the thing you're facing is only for a season, that it doesn't end here, and that God can restore your joy. Let's get to the root of our hope and how God can turn our mourning into joyful dancing!

This journey with God is filled with unknowns and if we don't overcome the fear of what we don't know and what we can't see, we will not experience an abundant life of peace and will sabotage what God wants to give us by faith!

I will never forget the first time I experienced an anxiety attack when my husband was away in Iraq and I had my 3-year-old daughter and 6-month-old son.

This week’s replay comes from the series Refreshing the Anxious Soul!

I know that our lens of how we view love may have been tainted by those who didn't know how to properly love themselves, but we will be able to see clearly that we are fully loved by God when we choose that His love is enough for us! Join me today as we end the Fully Loved series on how we can began to experience the love of Christ❤️
When I finally decided I needed to know for myself that God was real, God revealed Himself to me by showing me "ME." He revealed why I said and felt the things I did in a specific conversation I had weeks ago. It was the most mind blowing and unforgettable experience I had for the first time with God. God just doesn't know about us...He knows us inside and out. He knows the details and complexity of our souls! He knows who He formed and purposed us to be and do. Check out this new episode and let's get to know the God who KNOWS us!
Does God really hear me? Have you ever questioned if God hears you? I believe we all have had moments where we felt the silence of God. When I look back at those silent moments I realized God was always there, but He was teaching me to KNOW He was there without the evidence I wanted to see. God wants us all to spiritually mature to a place where we know we are seen, heard and loved by Him despite what we do or do not see from Him. Let's talk about it in today's episode, "Heard", in the series Fully Loved!
Ok, so we deep-dived IMMEDIATELY in the first episode of the "Fully Loved" series! I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting all of what was said to come out, but I'm not surprised because I give God the mic when that record button turns on. God truly took over and I pray you hear his heart in this message for you! When we are seen, we can be "seen after." Who better to see after our souls than the one who fully knows and loves us the most?! Let's stop seeking to be noticed by others and come into agreement that we are ALREADY SEEN AND LOVED by the one who holds the whole world in His hands!
Have you ever been in a place in your life where you felt too lost, too broken or too far from God to the point you weren't sure if you should even go back? We've all messed up and made choices that we aren't proud of. However, I have learned that God is warm, safe, and forgiving! He's waiting and hoping that you turn your heart back to Him. Sis, if you're breathing you still have purpose, you still have worth and you still have a choice! Let's me encourage you in this episode to step out of hiding and make that u-turn back to the one who loves you most!
Are you in transition? Do you know that God has called you to more but fear has gripped your heart?
You're not alone! There are many of us who have been called to do what we've never seen before. We have God's word alone....and guess what? That's all you need!!!
In order to fully embrace who God intended us to be, we must come out of hiding behind our baggage, fears and excuses and hide in the Word of God!📖
Let's talk about it more in this episode!
Whether you are building trust in a relationship, find it hard to trust others, or constantly depend on yourself, this episode is for you! God wants us to come to a place where we trust Him first above any and everything. It's a walk sis, not a sprint. We will get there as we continue to choose Him daily to be our Hiding place!
To hide is to put or keep out of sight; to conceal from the view or notice of others. In Genesis, we see Adam and Eve tried to hide their nakedness from God because they were afraid. We can hide our true feelings, our vulnerability and our deep struggles from others because we are afraid. We're afraid of being punished or hurt for who we are and how we feel. In this episode, let's refresh the soul and discuss the root of hiding and how when we fully experience God's love, it will cast out your fears.🖤
This month we're peeling back Psalms 32:7 to allow God to refresh our souls where we hide from Him and not in Him! We all want to feel safe, secure, and protected. But once that place of peace has been disturbed we can hide behind anger, relationships, defensiveness, silence and so on. Sis, I wouldn't be able to talk about this if I too did not wrestle with fears and trust issues. So this is a safe place where we get to be real, transparent and honest. Our vulnerability with God is the first step into making Him our Hiding Place! Join me every Monday for a new episode in August!
Don't get so caught up in the process that you lose sight of the promise! Check out this week's episode 🎙"Focus on the Promise!"

Are you stressed, heavy or weary? It's not always what we are carrying but it's who or what we are yoked to. That's why Jesus not only tells us to come to Him when we are weary or heavy, but He commands our souls to take on His yoke and to learn from Him.
In today's episode we discuss what we are yoked to that could be causing heaviness and how we can began to find rest for our souls by being yoked to Jesus!

There has been this one area in my life where I have not been hearing clearly from God. I shared my concern with my husband and immediately he said, "I believe you are blocking hearing what God has to say."As much as I did not want to believe it, I was desperate to find out why I wasn't hearing Holy Spirit. God revealed to me my unbelief in what He could do through me was keeping me from hearing. Giving more power to my inadequacy and less to who Jesus is blocked the flow of receiving direction and wisdom.
Are you believing in God to do the miraculous outside of you but not through you? Let's allow God's word to refresh our souls in this place because I believe its time you hear what Holy Spirit has to say to you!
Have you ever felt not wanted? Or felt you didn't belong or fit in? Some of us have allowed this lie to settle in our souls and it has now become apart of our identity. It's the way we see ourselves and how we believe others see us..."not wanted." Well today it's time to REFRESH that place in your soul!! In today's episode we discuss;
** Where the lie of not being wanted came from
** Ways the "not wanted" identity affects our relationships
** How to move forward in the Truth that "You're Wanted"
Sis, I love you and am praying that every hidden lie is exposed, uprooted and your soul is refreshed with the Word of God!
You've been speaking life over others, over your kids, over your marriage, your business, but when it comes to your soul, you're silent or you sound like;
"I can't"
"I'm too old"
"It's too late"
"I'm not loved"
"It is what it is"
BUT the same spirit-breathed words that you pray for others, works for YOU too! I want to encourage you to remember to encourage yourself and to speak only what God has to say about you, even if you don't see it!
Let's journey through Ezekiel 37 and allow God's words to come alive in our hearts so that we may speak life to what we may have allowed lies to bury in our souls!

Do you find your mind being pulled by your to-do list, family, ministry, business or possibly your soul issues?
Last year when I laid before God to show me how to navigate the many tasks on my plate, I thought the instructions he gave me would be enough to keep me from feeling overwhelmed. And it did.
God gave me strategy, strength and stamina to do His will. What I didn't expect was to become busy in my mind.
We can be doing all the things God ordained for us to do while our thoughts are racing from one thing to the next. We're in one place but our mind is in another. Sis, that's not abundant living! I want peace in the mind and rest in my soul. What about you?
Check out this episode as I reveal ways to finding rest for your busy mind.

What is Love?
In the eyes of a teen girl today, love could be defined by the attention and support she receives or doesn't receive from home, the relationships she sees on social media, tv or at school.
So many things have shaped my definition of love and without the true foundation of what love is, I wrestled with a hidden lie that I wasn't loved.
In this episode, Shamari and I tackle the root of the lie of not feeling loved and define what God's love is. Our prayer is for every teen to walk away knowing the truth, they are loved greatly by God!

God has given us visions, dreams and promises that all come with one major factor that we must depend on - His Timing!
When we find ourselves getting frustrated because we don't see the promise or the dream coming to fruition, we can drift to a place where we are not trusting the timing of God!
His timing is perfect and we will only know that when we allow ourselves to give up our time and will in exchange for God's!
Let's talk about it...check out today's episode, "Trusting God, With His Timing!"

Have you ever stepped out on faith and followed God's instructions and then found yourself met with trouble? Sometimes on the journey, while we are trusting God, we will get hurt! While we know God doesn't cause the hurting, we can feel as if our faith should shield us from hurt. In this episode I share candidly my experience of being met with hurt after following through on God's word and God's response to me. I was guilty of reading devotions and the several scriptures it accompanied, but not getting the word rooted deeply in my soul.
I was making room for God but I left Him in that space. His word didn't go with me through life. I didn't see the fruit or the growth from it until one day I was tired of feeling the same and struggling with the same insecure thoughts.
In the wee hours of the morning I choose to write down God's word and take them to heart. I meditated on them, confessed them, believed them. I was desperate for change, I was desperate for God...I began to find delight in His word as it strengthened me.
In this week's episode, we will discuss the importance of rolling God's word around in your spirit daily and the benefits of doing so!
I remember growing up singing this song with my church that went a little something like this....
🎶As I look back over my life, and I think things over, I can truly say that I've been blessed, I have a TESTIMONY🎶
I have to be honest with you, just as I was with God. When I look back and reflect on certain aspects of my life, I could not see a blessing or God in it.
However, as I have been making room and reflecting not just on where I saw God rescue and heal me, but on the areas where I felt most alone and hurt...God gave me a new perspective!
He was ALWAYS there! The only GOOD and new lens I have now is that my Father was with me through it! 🙌🏾
This week let's make room to reflect on the areas in your life you may not have allowed God into to give you a new story, a new perspective. 🤍
In the month of March we are making room for God! I know as women we can have many responsibilities and unintentionally move God to the background.
It starts with shortening your devotion time and then you find yourself saying prayers on the way to work only to check off the box that you talked with God today.
We need quality time with God. Our souls, the people connected to us and the responsibilities we carry count on the intimacy we have with God day in and day out.
Let's start with "Stillness." Training our soul to be still and quiet itself is one way to make room for God. Tune into today episode for the benefits of being still!

By the Holy Spirit
Choose to Believe the Truth
Allow Yourself to Be Uncomfortable
We can't change ourselves on our own, believe me, I tried and was left with more frustration and repeating the same cycles.
As I learned to come to Jesus with my insecurities and fears, he began to show me in the word how to uproot the lies I've longed believe.
Sis, I pray that what I've learned helps you and motivates you to do the same! God is faithful to do His part, now let's be faithful to do ours!

So, let me be honest! Jealousy has been one of those things that comes in waves over the years. It’s not something I’ve taken the time to seriously address because I seldomly feel jealous.
However, this year the Lord has impressed on me to peel back the layers of the emotions I feel and get to the root of how I see myself. Jealousy is a weight in the soul and we have a responsibility to lay aside EVERY weight.
Jealousy is attached to the false lens you see yourself through. But before we can deal with the root of your identity, we first have to come to an honest place and admit, “I’m jealous.”

I cringe when I hear people say bluntly, "You need to let it go." Letting go of a person, a hurt, a way of thinking or something that has plagued your soul for a long time is not a simple dust of your hands and saying "I'm done".
Letting go is a continual process of allowing God to un-layer the false identity and protective habits that was built because of someone else's faults.
In this episode, I hope to refresh your souls in seeing that while letting go is a process, it is also freedom and gain.
We get to embrace so much more that God has for us when we decide again and again to let go!

One of the emotions we may feel when we are holding unforgiveness in our soul is anger. Sister, I want you to know that you are not wrong to feel angry.
God gave us a soul that comes with emotions. So we have to ask, "what is the usefulness of anger?" or "what is this anger saying about what I want?"
I wrestled with "letting go" because I was still angry. I learned that Forgiveness is not the absence of anger. Forgiveness is the choice to let go of the fault and the person who did it, not to let go of anger.
We have to deal with anger at the root and allow God's truth and love to heal us from the inside out.
In today’s episode we discuss coming to an honest place with unforgiveness. We may think we have let go, but the thoughts that toil us and our responses say otherwise.
So to help you come to an honest place, I ask a few questions for you to think about, write down and lay before God.

This month on RTS Podcast, we will be discussing forgiveness. When you look up the word forgiveness there are many definitions, but one that stuck out most is from an article, "What Is Forgiveness," from the Greater Good Magazine.
"Psychologists generally define forgiveness as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness."
Forgiveness is a choice of letting go but sometimes wounds can have a tight grip on our souls where it may feel impossible.
My prayer for you this month is that God's word and my own story of forgiveness will help refresh and loosen the place in your soul that needs to let go.

In September we are refreshing the "impatient" soul! Is there an area in your life you need to develop your patience in?
Whether it's patience with your kids, a spouse, or God's promise, this month is dedicated in helping you learn how to activate this fruit of the Spirit in any area and season in your life.
Check out today's episode as I get you prepped for what is to come in September!
Have you ever been hurt by someone and just wanted someone to pray for you?
I believe God hears the cries of the offended soul and wants me to intercede for you this week.
If you're needing prayer in the place of your hurt, this episode is for you!
My prayer is that you :
From God's heart to your ears, here's a prayer just for YOU!
In this episode, I discuss how to take offenses to our soul captive! If we allow offense to remain in our soul, it will hold our identity hostage to the words or insults of others!
Our identity must be firmly in who God say's we are. So when we are offended, what can we do to arrest offense?
*Know you have authority!
*Know and use God's Word as a weapon!
*Know your identity in God and be consistent!
Don't forget to rate, subscribe and review this podcast! Let me know your thoughts and what you do to arrest offense!
In this episode, we get to the root of why we are offended. It may have been an insult from the past that you allowed to identify you or the mentality of your environment could have shaped how you see yourself.
In order to stop the cycle of being easily offended, we must get to the WHY we are offended.
There are three questions that helped me get to the root of why I'm so easily offended in a certain area of my life:
Remember, to be offended is to feel resentful by a perceived insult. Let's find out how we are perceiving ourselves through our offenses so we can break the cycle and begin to perceive ourselves through the grace lens of God!
"They say" sticks and stones may break our bones but words will never hurt us.
But this word did...it stings...and it won't let you go. It repeatedly comes up in your soul and in your thoughts. You want to move on and get over the hurt...but it's hard.
I feel you and so does God! He wants to refresh us in the place we were offended and give us His perspective.
In this episode I give you 3 ways to combat that repeated offense in your soul:
👉Don't Dwell!
👉 Think Pure!
👉 Give Grace!
In this last episode of this series, we come to head with a common fear among many. The unknown!
This journey with God is filled with unknowns and if we don't overcome the fear of what we don't know and learn to trust in who we know, we will fall short of everything God has for us.
I don't know about you, but I want EVERYTHING God has for me. I believe the more we grip God's hand and choose to trust Him where we are blind, God will open our eyes more to who He is and who we are! There's more to you than you think, so let's overcome the fear of the unknown together to discover it!
Do you find yourself not showing up as your full self because you fear what people say or think of you? Or maybe there are opportunities you didn't take because you feared what you would look like to people. No matter what fear looks like in your world, this episode is for YOU!
In this episode, I break down what's really behind the fear of people and give you 3 things that God has given me to overcome this fear in our souls.
Listen to the end of the episode for Confessions for the "Fearful" Soul!
To trust is to be vulnerable, intimate, open and if we have experienced hurt in our openness we may have closed the place to trusting again.
To not trust is to hold everything on your shoulders. Fear is a heavy yoke to carry and Jesus doesn't want you to carry it anymore.
If that's you and you're ready to take off this yoke and pick up Jesus way of living, I have 3 words for you in this episode that God has given me to overcome this fearful place.
Take some notes, pause and pray, be still in this place and hear what God has to say to refresh the fear in your soul!
Fear is a weapon the enemy uses to distract, deter and delay us from having all that God has for us. When we fear rejection, we will find ourselves compromising ourselves and the very expression of who God called us to be!
It's time to combat the fear that has been weighing in your soul and preventing you from being the best version of yourself! Tune into this weeks' episode to find out how these 3 words will help you overcome the fear of rejection:
*Peace
*Control
*Walk
There's a better, bolder, courageous you on the other side of your fears!!!
In this last episode in this series, we are highlighting Psalms 23:5-6 where David acknowledges that even in valley places where life can feel against us, God is preparing something great just for us!
Let's center our hearts and minds around the fact that God can still be safety, comfort and strength to us in the midst of dark moments. God doesn't want you to experience darkness, but He wants you to experience Him in it!
You have a home in Him. Live there. Don't visit or vacation there, but let's choose to live there!
In this episode we discuss Psalms 23:4 and how God is our protector in the face of fear and evil. His rod and staff, his guidance and protection is what gives us strength. When we realize and settle in our souls that we are the sheep and He is the shepherd, we can then allow ourselves to be guided and protected fully.
Don't let what you think is best for you guide you. Only the good good shepherd knows what's best. Tune in for your soul to be refreshed!
In this week's episode, we break down Psalms 23:2-3 and discover why we have to be made to lie down just as sheep. The rest our soul longs for can only be found in the One who created rest. This rest He gives restores our soul!
What needs to be restored in you?
Joy? Peace? A desire to love again? When we find rest in God, the seat of our emotions and appetites find rest too!
Lean in close, open your heart and receive the words of our God, who is our Rest!
One of the definitions of shepherd that sticks out to me is a feeder. The Lord is my feeder, I shall not want. The Lord is the feeder of our souls. Yes, He feeds us with food and clothes, but He also feeds us with strength, peace, love and direction!
What or who is feeding you? That is your Shepherd. God wants to be so much more than the "fixer" of our problems, but the feeder of our lives.
This episode will encourage you to look to God as your provider of everything. Because you have him, you have everything you need and you do not have to want.
In this episode, we discuss the triggers to anxiety! Instead of normalizing and submitting to the bouts of anxiety, we can began to take control by slowing down and looking at what is triggering our anxiety.
There's a root behind the anxiousness and it starts in our thoughts. Let's come to an honest place to pinpoint what areas in our lives we need to shift our perspective!
I will also give you 3 simple identifiers to help you move forward from an anxious place!
Do you find yourself battling worries and trying to keep the anxiety in your soul at bay? Sometimes life can seem overwhelming and we hold it in our souls.
Have you ever been ashamed of being you? I have! I did not love who I was because I didn't think others did. Rejection, being misunderstood, talked about, and a slew of other things created this perception that I was not loveable.
We can't wait for others to tell us or show us that we are worthy to be loved. We have to get a hold of the One who is the very essence of what we long for...to be loved. That One is God! God is Love!
Shame will tell us we are not worthy to be loved because of our imperfections or who we really are. But when we learn that we are already loved by God, we can start to embrace His perfect love to love ourselves even with our imperfections.
Stop striving to achieve the perfect you in order to be accepted and love the you that you are NOW!
Do you find yourself beating yourself up over the mistakes or wrongs you have made? Sometimes we can be so harsh and critical of ourselves that we don't leave room for imperfections, growth and grace. In this episode, I encourage you to be kind to your soul. Kindness is not just meant for others, it's meant for you too! It's time to put down the boxing gloves and speak to ourselves with tenderness, grace and kindness!
Do you find yourself not being truly who you are in fear of what people may think?
When we suppress who we are to keep others around us comfortable and to remain connection people, we are operating out of Shame.
One of the ways God has been teaching me to overcome shame, is by letting myself be seen. We like to hide the not so good parts of us and only allow people to see the good. But when we can begin to be vulnerable with our true selves, we can then walk in true connection with others.
Let's dig into why you may fear showing up as the full you so we can begin to change that narrative!
Do you constantly deal with the negative inner dialogue that you are not enough or you will fail or you are stupid? Shame will keep us believing the lies of the enemy and hidden in a place where who we are is not enough.
In this episode, Rachel has come to let us know that we MUST affirm ourselves from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed!

We may only see and know in part, but we are to trust His complete plan! The proof of trusting God is in our obedience!!
In the last episode of Refreshing The 'Controlling' Soul series, we recap what we've learned over the last few weeks and discuss slow obedience, forgiving ourselves and more!
You are more than the things you have dominion and authority over! Just like Jesus, not only is he a healer, but he is God's son first. You are God's daughter or son!
We have a Father that we can go to and we go to Him in prayer. Prayer softens the heart toward God and keeps us sensitive to His will for our lives.
Jesus is our perfect display of how we must often include prayer time in our everyday lives to remain submitted to the God who is in control!
Who's on the other end of your heart strings? The old version of you can pull on your heart and cause you to think, say and do things like you used to. It takes surrendering every room in our hearts to Jesus to break the strings tied to what used to control us. Jesus wants to be more than our savior. He wants to be Lord over our emotions, our life and our hearts!
It's heavy and hard being the God of your own life! In this episode, we discover where the need to be in control comes from and what control really is! Let's peel back the layers together to find the root of the "controlling" soul!
Do you have to have it all figured out before you do anything? Do you become frustrated when you are in an uncomfortable or unknown place in your life? You may not be too quick to admit you're controlling but there may be some areas in your life your hand is too tight on. In this episode I help you to come to an honest place of what you may be controlling. Let's loosen the "let me" grip so we can fully experience God's peace!
Did you know there is NOTHING you can do to ever separate you from the love of God? God is LOVE! HE is our true love! He doesn't require your performance or your worth to dictate how much He LOVES the mess out of you...literally! Check out this episode as I take you through one of my devotions from my book, Rest For The Soul!
Thoughts of not feeling enough doesn't come from who we believe we are, it comes from who we believe we are not! This is the place we have to come face to face with and make the CHOICE to believe who God say's we are or who we believe we are not!
Why do we constantly battle with not feeling enough? This invisible bar we have created to measure our worth by, it's time to identify what that is and who you really are!
Let's discover the REAL you!
Do you ever feel you are not enough?
I know I have! 🙋🏾♀️The weight of this feeling can either keep you from moving forward or push you into performing until your soul is exhausted.
In this episode I will show you what God showed me to help me trust His sufficiency more than my own!
In this last stage we will discuss the 3 WAYS to UPROOT false truths you've convinced yourself of! Uprooting isn't easy, but with consistency and God's powerful Word, you will be transformed and refreshed in the place you were once wounded!
We don't uproot PRIDE, JEALOUSY, INSECURITIES...whatever fruit of the wound you may have, there lies beneath it a root! This episode will give you God's word and questions to help you discover why you do what you do!
Have you been wounded? If you are breathing, then the answer is YES! We all have been wounded, some wounds more deep than others. When our souls have experienced a deep hurt from others we can experience soul trauma. Trauma changes the mindset! Here in this episode I will guide you in the first stage of refreshing this wounded place - BE HONEST! Let's journey through Esau & Jacob story to help you come to an honest place in your soul!
Here's an intro into my podcast and what you can expect! Continue to tune in for more!!!
