My aim is to give new leaders a flying start by sharing some of the things I’ve learned in 15 years of actually doing leadership. We talk about what leadership is and how to do it well. Leadership styles and characteristics. How to set priorities and shape your agenda, and tips for communicating powerfully with your team. Throughout, the goal is to stay really practical, focussing on what you actually have to do to get stuff done, get noticed and get your career or your business moving.
It's an age-old debate. Leadership vs management. Whats the difference? Today I'm going to talk about two key things to remember in the leadership vs management game, that are both answers to "what's the difference?"
By the way. I am NOT advocating that you should be a leader NOT a manager. You should be BOTH. Leaders have to do everything that managers do. They have to worry about everything that managers worry about. But if you want to do leadership AS WELL as management, you need to do these two things on top.
