This episode muses on the usual yet significant events of everyday life through comics. The Filipino-made Ang Hari ng Komyut is a lighthearted commentary on the joys and woes of public transport, while Vietnamese Blooming and Oxytocin seeks to normalize romance in its different forms.
Miss Philippines and Miss Indonesia – the two winged goddesses in Miss Universe. The Philippine flag-inspired costume of Miss Philippines 2020, Rabiya Mateo and resemblance of Garuda depiction of Miss Indonesia 2016, Kezia Warouw showcased their countries’ aesthetics through the National Costume competition.
Animated films, Trese and Kimi No Nawa, are showcasing their own culture on screen. Trese is a supernatural horror story revealing different facets of Filipino society with tales of the monsters. Kimi no Nawa is a romantic fantasy film focusing on how the red string of fate functions together with some traditional Japanese mythology.
The City of Vigan in Ilocos Sur is perhaps one of the few surviving Philippine historic cities that still retains is old, 16th century charm. Known for its architecture that fuses native Philippine, Oriental, and European colonial design and construction, Vigan also became the cradle of Philippine history's most prominent personalities
Escolta was once hailed as the Philippines' most important district and premier business center of Manila. That is, until the rise of bigger commercial districts made Escolta a thing of the past. But now, a group of artists and preservationists are gradually reviving the Queen of Manila Streets to its former glory.
Constructed between 1996 and 2003, the LRT 2 also known as the Blue Line, formerly the Purple Line, runs from east to west along Recto Avenue in Manila City, passing along Legarda, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard and Aurora Boulevard, before turning onto Marcos Highway in Marikina City to terminate at Santolan where the LRT Line 2 depot is likewise located
First operating in 1984, the LRT Line 1, otherwise known as the Green Line, is one of the Philippines' earliest train systems and the second one in Southeast Asia. It runs through the City of Manila in several stops, with terminals in Quezon City in the north and Pasay City in the south.
Named after the 17th century hermitage of a Mexican religious, Ermita is now a compact commercial district in the City of Manila and the location of significant centers of the country such as in finance, education, culture, and commerce.
