Join us this week as we share our exciting 4th of July adventure at Gulf Waters RV Resort in beautiful Port Aransas, Texas. From picturesque pond views at our RV spot to savoring exquisite seafood with a French twist at the YardArm Restaurant in Corpus Christi, our journey was so much fun.
From a distance in Corpus, we saw the amazing USS Lexington and paid homage at the Selena Memorial, surrounded by the vibrant marina. We took in the lively beach scene of Port Aransas, where we also enjoyed the best of coastal dining at The Black Marlin and indulged in a unique sundae at Taiyaki Ice Cream.
We capped off our visit with fireworks at Robert’s Point Park and soaked in the beauty of the Gulf Coast with a morning bike ride. Despite a sudden evacuation due to Hurricane Beryl, our time in Port Aransas left us longing for more. Whether you're a history buff, food enthusiast, or beach lover, Port Aransas offers something special for everyone. When you watch this video, you'll see what I mean!
Join us on a sun-soaked Friday afternoon as we journey to Terry Black's BBQ in Lockhart, the "Barbecue Capital of Texas." The 45-minute drive from New Braunfels was brimming with anticipation for their legendary brisket burnt ends.
Upon arrival, we dodged the lunch rush and indulged in a feast of smoky, melt-in-your-mouth burnt ends, creamy corn, macaroni, a refreshing cola, and a specialty beer brewed just for Terry Black's.
Our adventure didn't end there. We headed to the enchanting Luling Lavender Fields. Despite the fields not being in bloom, we delighted in picking up a CBD Black Cherry Sparkling Water and lovely smelling lavender deodorant.
As we drove back to New Braunfels, our hearts were full from savoring Texas's finest BBQ, my favorite, and discovering lavender treasures.
Join us as we recount our thrilling journey to Nebraska to purchase our new motor home, now our full-time home on wheels. The adventure began with Alan’s extensive research leading us to the perfect RV, even though it was all the way in Nebraska!
We set off early, filled with excitement and anticipation, driving through changing landscapes and dreaming of future travels. In Nebraska, the friendly dealership staff made the process smooth and enjoyable. Seeing our motor home for the first time was surreal and exceeded our expectations.
After the purchase, we stayed the night at the dealership and enjoyed a lovely dinner in Lincoln, Nebraska. The next day, we began our journey back to San Antonio in our new motor home, filled with joy as we explored our new space and started making it our own. The scenic views and excitement of this new chapter made the journey unforgettable.
We can’t wait to share more stories and adventures as we embrace full-time RV living. Stay tuned!

Chris Warner, grew up in New Iberia, Louisiana. He attended LSU in Baton Rouge on an academic scholarship, receiving two degrees from the Ole War Skule. In 2002, he received a doctorate from the University of New Orleans. A former high school teacher and college professor, Chris is a firm believer that education is the key to happiness and success in life. Hey there. Welcome to Ignite Your Passion with me, Bonnie Lang. Happy Valentine's Day, sending you peace, love, happiness, and hugs. You're trying to figure out some ideas. Valentine's Day is one of those days that can be really expensive or not. Here's some ideas to celebrate Valentine's, whether it's with a friend or that special someone.
You could even create IOUs for a less busy time in February. Just make sure you're someone special is okay with.
1. Have a redo of your first date with your someone special volunteer together at your local animal shelter, senior center or wildlife center. There are so many opportunities. Just Google it.
2. Plan a staycation and get room service and have a quiet, romantic evening together.
3. Spend the evening outside looking at the night sky with a glass of wine, cheese, crackers and chocolates.
4. Go camping.
5. You could throw a dinner party.
6. Have a game night.
7. Have a movie night.
8. Try a new place you've never been to.
9. Just spend time together walking outside and shut off your cell phones. Rekindle those memories of when you first met.
10. Take a day trip. We love to do this.
11. Stay at home and make a really nice dinner together.
12. Go to a concert.
13. Take a dance class together.
14. Make a Valentine card for your someone special with a message of some of the things you love most about them.
15. Send a friend a note or give them a call to say your thinking of.
16. Get together for lunch.
How about spreading the love on any day? You can do this anytime.
I hope your days are full of love from friends or that's someone special, and know that you are special. Happy Valentine's Day sweet friend.

Studies show that a four day vacation can reduce stress and have positive effects on you but taking longer vacations can be even more beneficial.
I always feel stress relief when I’m really out in nature whether it’s near a river or the ocean
Even just taking a staycation, become a tourist and exploring what’s around you can be a lot of fun. Do you ever feel like the closer you get to taking that time off that your stress levels are reduced?
I know for me it helps with my creativity and it makes me so happy.
Even having something planned on the books gives me something to look forward to.

Proud Papa, Songwriter and Touring Artist, Dave Fenley, Spreading Love Like Peanut Butter
Dave Fenley was born and raised in the small town of Lufkin, an East Texas town is deeply rooted with religion, family values, and music. At a young age, Dave showed an aptitude for learning melodies and lyrics. As a child, he sang with the children’s choir in his Southern Baptist church while his father sang bass in the “big choir.” His father Elton would sing in the home all the time and teach Dave harmonies to all the “good” country songs on the radio. Dave also joined the choir in his elementary school and stayed with it till high school.
In high school, his family moved to Canada, so Dave had a whole different set of influences. No longer surrounded by only country music, Dave found that he loved anything with soul. Starting with Boyz II Men, Dave back tracked to artists like Otis Redding, Ray Charles, and Percy Sledge. Thats when Dave really started using his voice. He began writing songs at the age of fifteen and picked up a guitar at 18. There was no stopping him after that. He taught himself how to play songs he loved and would perform them at bars before he was even legal to drink alcohol.
The next decade was just Dave honing his craft, figuring out what type of artist he would be, and learning that he loved every kind of music. He had a “genre-free philosophy” for his shows so the audience would always be surprised by what would come next. Dave’s talent with an audience did not go unnoticed. He has shared the stage with musical royalty like Dwight Yoakam, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley. Dave currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee and writes songs for a living.

Jeff is a Producer, Actor and Stuntman. He has appeared alongside such actors as Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Kurt Russell, Kate Hudson, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Brad Pitt, and many others. He's been in blockbuster films such as "Deepwater Horizon", "The Big Short", "Daddy's Home" and many more. Jeff also had a reoccurring part on "NCIS New Orleans" for two seasons.
He is the Managing Partner and an Executive Producer at Bitter End Media Group in Los Angeles California which develops properties for feature films and documentaries. In 2016 Caperton and his partner Mark Burman produced "Dog Eat Dog", directed by 4 time Oscar winner Paul Schrader and starring fellow Oscar winners Nicolas Cage and Willum Defoe. "Dog" premiered worldwide at the "Cannes International Film Festival" and won the "Directors Fortnight" Award!
In the same year, this great duo also produced the multiple award-winning documentary "South Bureau Homicide" based on the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Precinct. In September Sony Television signed a deal to develop "South Bureau" into a dramatic television series. Jeff and his team are currently developing several projects.

Did you know that exercise can improve your mood and your sex life! I exercise 30 minutes a day and I love its benefits! Take a listen!
Here’s a list of exercises the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends:
- Aerobic activity. Get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. The guidelines suggest that you spread out this exercise during the course of a week. To provide even greater health benefit and to assist with weight loss or maintaining weight loss, at least 300 minutes a week is recommended. But even small amounts of physical activity are helpful. Being active for short periods of time throughout the day can add up to provide health benefit.
- Strength training. Do strength training exercises for all major muscle groups at least two times a week. Aim to do a single set of each exercise using a weight or resistance level heavy enough to tire your muscles after about 12 to 15 repetitions.
Moderate aerobic exercise includes activities such as brisk walking, biking, swimming and mowing the lawn. Vigorous aerobic exercise includes activities such as running, heavy yardwork and aerobic dancing. Strength training can include use of weight machines, your own body weight, heavy bags, resistance tubing or resistance paddles in the water, or activities such as rock climbing.
If you want to lose weight, meet specific fitness goals or get even more benefits, you may need to ramp up your moderate aerobic activity even more.
Remember to check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have any concerns about your fitness, haven't exercised for a long time, have chronic health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes or arthritis.

Gloria Hester is the founder of Yogic Wisdom for Horse & Human, and SEVA (Somatic Education for Vertebrate Animals). She is a Somatic Consultant for both humans and other vertebrate animals, primarily horses and dogs.
