Labour's deputy leader Angela Rayner was confronted during a speech at a Stockport hotel by a man who lost five loved ones in bombing in Gaza.
Palestinian Dalloul al-Neder is seen approaching the stage and shouting during Ms Rayner's speech. The 31-year-old lost his mum, brother, pregnant sister-in-law and two nieces during bombing in December.
After al-Neder is escorted out of the room, another protester questioned Rayner's stance on Gaza and said: “Fifteen thousand women and children have been killed in Gaza! Call yourself a feminist Angela?”

SUSPEND ISRAEL FROM INTERNATIONAL SPORTS
Dr Kat Pijetlovic joins Chris Williamson this week on Resistance TV to appeal to suspend Israel from participation in international sports.
With a few notable exceptions, our governments and elected representatives continue to toe the official line of Israel – even increasing diplomatic, financial and military support to it despite countless violations of international laws, international humanitarian laws, and UN resolutions. The International Olympic Committee, FIFA, UEFA, FIBA, and other sports organisations are complicit as they allow a continuous participation of the occupying apartheid regime in their events. Following a swift response and an instant suspension of Russia, it is now difficult for them to justify turning a blind eye to the Israeli government’s actions.

Joining us on this episode of Resistance TV is former sociology professor David Miller, who was sacked by the University of Bristol because of his opposition to Zionism.
He had been subjected to a vituperative campaign by the usual band of bad faith actors, including the Israeli funded Union of Jewish Students (UJS). He was also targeted by a parliamentary pile-on, which saw Conservative MPs sitting on the Education Select Committee using their position to attack him, and there was even a petition signed by over 100 parliamentarians absurdly alleging that David Miller's comments about the UJS threatened the safety of Jewish students on campus.
This weaponisation of anti-Semitism was dismissed by two QC-led inquiries who both completely exonerated him. But the university's management buckled in the face of Zionist pressure and sacked him anyway.
David Miller then took his case to an employment tribunal, which was eventually heard at the end of last year, and the tribunal's decision is expected later this month.

This week on Resistance TV, Steve Gower Independent Volunteer Advocate for the Homeless. Working in and around Gloucestershire joins Sian Bloor to talk about his Blue Lantern Project, which would see sustainable units placed in local areas to provide temporary accommodation and support services for the homeless.
He has also teamed up with local film makers to tell his story through a new documentary, ‘Black Dog Way’, which aims to shine a light on the “injustices” faced by thousands in England alone every year.
Through the Blue Lantern Project, Steve - who has experience of working in the construction industry - aims to build sustainable, live-in units as temporary accommodation, to eventually be replaced by permanent, eco-friendly homes.
He has setup a Crowdfunder page to raise money for the project, which can be found at www.gofundme.com/f/the-blue-lantern-homeless-pilot-project.

Scouting Association Expels Volunteer for Advocacy Against Zionist Support | A Call to Chief Scout Bear Grylls | Resistance TV

Black Dog Way with Sam Pope and Steve Gower | Resistance TV
In the winter of 2016, Steve found himself homeless aged 49, in the wake of a family tragedy. His story is like many others. 219,000 in England alone, every single year.
Steve was a victim of circumstance and a man suffering from his memories. He became trapped moving through the support system, trying and failing to navigate his way back. Experiencing the system from the inside, he saw it as fundamentally broken. After getting himself back on his feet, he vowed to ensure others wouldn’t go through the same experience. He became a homeless advocate, helping people and asking for nothing in return. In doing so, he became a voice for those in need. He remained determined in the belief that things could and should be better. Steve set out, along with many others in the city of Gloucester, to do just that.

When Palestinians come together to commemorate the Nakba (meaning "the catastrophe") on May 15th, it goes beyond recalling a tragic historical event that occurred 75 years ago. It signifies the enduring impact of the Nakba, which resulted in the displacement of over 750,000 Palestinians from their ancestral land, the destruction of 400 villages and towns, and the loss of thousands of lives.
The commemoration also serves as a reminder that the Nakba did not end in 1948 but persists in various forms to this day. Palestinians refer to this ongoing struggle as the "ongoing Nakba," characterised by ongoing suffering, the destruction of homes, and the loss of Palestinian lives. They witness it through the continuous Israeli annexation of their land and frequent attacks on their homes in Gaza. Furthermore, they experience regular violations of their human rights, both within Israel and in the occupied territories and Gaza Strip. Joining Chris Williamson tonight is Ronnie Barkan as we delve into the ongoing Nakba and shed light on the current realities faced by Palestinians.

With the US-led aggressive Nato alliance accelerating its drive towards a global war, there is an urgent need to unite the world anti-imperialist movement and mobilise the masses to oppose Nato's war machinery and aggressive moves everywhere.
You can read the Platform's declaration, which set out the founding principles around which it is organising, on its website: wap21.org.
So far, it has held conferences in Paris (October 2022) and Belgrade (December 2022). After Venezuela's PSUV signed the Paris Declaration, it was decided to hold the next conference in Latin America in March. This will be followed by a conference in East Asia (south Korea) in May and one in Africa (tbc) later in the year.
The Platform's reach and activity are growing fast, and the analysis it is bringing to the antiwar movement is vitally necessary, setting out clearly the need to support all the targets of imperialist aggression, from Russia, China and the DPRK to Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Congo, Syria, Afghanistan and too many more.

In May 2022, 9 activists smashed their way into Elbit’s Bristol HQ, commemorating Nakba day and disrupting Elbit for their part in the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. All of the activists were remanded to prison, with 7 held for a week while with two of them were held for over a month. Now, a year later, they return for a three-week trial and will once again say: Elbit is guilty, we are not.

Britain faces its largest ever strike by health workers on Monday as tens of thousands of nurses and ambulance workers walk out in an escalating pay dispute which the health minister said would place further strain on the National Health Service (NHS).
Nurses and ambulance workers have been striking separately on and off since late last year but Monday's walkout involving both, largely in England, will represent the biggest in the 75-year history of the NHS.
England's top doctor, Stephen Powis, said strike action this week, which will also see physiotherapists walk out on Thursday, would most probably be the most disruptive so far.
Health workers are demanding a pay rise that reflects the worst inflation in Britain in four decades, while the government says that would be unaffordable and cause more price rises, and in turn, make interest rates and mortgage payments go up.

The legality of British arms sales to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will once again be challenged in London’s High Court at the end of January.
According to legal submissions filed by UK-based organisation Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT), Whitehall is flouting its own export license rules by permitting British weapons to be sold to Saudi Arabia while it continues its 7-year-long bombing campaign in Yemen.

Phil Bevin and Dave Roberts joins Chris Williamson to take a look at the current state of the left in politics.
There is no reason to believe that any real leadership will come from Peace and Justice. Right now it looks like an entirely captured operation. This explains why it has chosen to focus on largely anodyne green matters, like billionaire funded Just Stop Oil. Given the way things are going, with the exposure of Bernie Sanders as a democrat stooge, Novara Media's tack towards Starmerism, Counterfire's increasing Labourism and Jeremy Corbyn's inability/unwillingness to carve out his space, he is at risk of becoming irrelevant.
The split on the left is between those prioritising Labourism to the point of dumping anti-imperialism. And those able to articulate an alternative view clearly. There is an electoral battleground to pick too. Corbyn risks alienating Muslim voters as a result of siding with Zionists. Meanwhile, he won't be let back into Labour.
So what's his role, strategically speaking? A peace and Justice party Could win Islington but the people around JC wouldn't countenance working with Galloway or Williamson. Nor do they know how to run a campaign that is anything other than an online data grab.

The UK Government forcibly sent 150,000 kids abroad between 1920 and 1967 to 'whiten' Australia and Canada.
Gordon Brown made a formal apology to the British children affected, many of whom faced abuse and a regime of unpaid labour.
Brown only made the formal apology after the Australian government issued their own. He called the programme 'misguided'. It did not stop until 1967.
The vulnerable working class children were cut off from their families or even falsely informed that they were orphans.
No UK government officials were ever charged, let alone convicted, for this crime against humanity.

The National Rail Maritime Transport union are striking on the 21st, 23rd and 25th June. They have tried to negotiate with the private companies that own our rail services, including foreign governments, but it's reached the point where talks have stalled and there's no option but strike. As passengers we need to show our support for these workers. We are told lies by media who use the salaries of highly skilled drivers to mask the poverty wages paid to other staff in the rail system . They have a long record of understating the harms of their medicines, and exaggerating their benefits. This week we are talking to the Insulate Britain activists, Tracey Mallaghan and Steve Gower, who are calling on the Government to prepare our housing stock for the climate issues we are facing.
Too many people are facing fuel poverty, because of the poor quality of our housing stock. Just insulating our houses properly would lift most people out of that poverty, stopping immediately their having to choose between heating and eating.
Steve is in court on the 14th December expecting to be imprisoned along with 8 more fellow activists. He says "At least I will be warm and fed for Christmas"

Ronnie Barkan is an Israeli dissident and BDS activist.
As a serial disrupter to apartheid representatives, he recently stood trial in Berlin along with fellow activists for speaking up against representative Aliza Lavie and her direct responsibility for Israeli crimes against humanity.
Ronnie Barkan negates the patently false liberal-Zionist discourse whose sole purpose is the legitimising of apartheid and ethnic domination in the eyes of the world. Instead, he offers a narrative that challenges the very foundation of the Zionist race-state in Palestine as a supremacist endeavour which practices colonialism and apartheid since the day of its inception. Any attempt to speak of less than the 20 million stakeholders, like any attempt to focus on the occupation of 1967, are in fact attempts at legitimising the crime.
Ronnie's Barkan's statement in a Berlin court:
"The report concludes that all 12 million Palestinians are directly affected by Israeli practices of apartheid. This also includes the millions of Palestinian refugees, some of them are residents of this city and should receive the protection as persecuted people.
But why are they still refugees 70 years later?
For one and only one reason - so that I may be a privileged Israeli-Jew at their expense - they are being punished for the crime of wrong ethnicity."

It is well known that Britain supported General Pinochet, after he came to power in Chile in a military coup in 1973, but British covert action in Chile prior to the coup is not.
Recently declassified documents demonstrate how, between 1960 and 1973, a secretive propaganda unit within the British Foreign Office sought to prevent, and later weaken, Salvador Allende's socialist presidency.

We are in a housing emergency, with Will McMahon
This week we are talking to Will McMahon, director of action on empty homes about their day of action on 9 October.
1) Over 100,000 families are living in Temporary Accommodation while over half a million homes have no permanent resident.
2) The wrong kind of housing is being built across the country - they are unaffordable to anyone on an average income to either rent or buy. These new builds are also being sold off-plan and ending up as Airbnb short lets, second homes or buy to leave empty wealth investments with no permanent residents.
3) Communities are being broken up as council estates that could be refurbished are being left to decline, to be replaced by yet more unaffordable new build.
4) The Climate emergency demands refurbishment, not demolition. Retrofitting 270,000 long term empty homes and council estates can help solve the climate crisis.
On October 9th there are street actions highlighting all of these issues and a national rally calling for empty homes to be used by those living in temporary and overcrowded accommodation and to meet the climate emergency.

This week on Resistance TVChris Williamson talks with Simon Harris aka Man Behaving Dadly we talk about his fundraising and trolling of the hard right. He runs more blogs and Facebook pages than he cares to mention but Southend News Network and Man Behaving dadly are just two to note.
One of his latest fundraisers "Help Are Own First" and its description “I have started this fundraiser because at the moment too many people seem to have forgotten that WE SHOULD BE HELPING ARE OWN FIRST!! “All money will be used to help ARE OWN.” has helped raise over £32,000 up to now.
It certainly appears to be from the Ukip line of thinking. But all was not as it seemed.When visitors scrolled down a little further to the note section they discovered what the fundraiser was truly all about. “For the purposes of this appeal ‘ARE OWN’ refers explicitly to Afghan families who are currently being resettled in the United Kingdom, This is because a lot of them risked their lives to help our armed forces and government officials with translation, interpreting and other tasks during the last twenty years, and to be honest if they didn’t, the United Kingdom may have had the teeniest, tiniest, weeniest role to play in this whole s***show.”
Simon has previously trolled Farage by fundraising for the RLNI to name a hovercraft after him, following Farage's claims about the charity.

Following the financial crisis that began in 2007, it became clear that banks were engaged in a huge range of criminal and unethical activities – mis-selling, rigging markets, money laundering, tax evasion, sub-prime mortgages, ripping off customers, and fraud on a massive scale. These crimes have not gone away, and the activities of the banks are as fraudulent as ever. The financial system is a clear example of an industry that is rotten to the core, and is no longer fit for purpose.

MMT: Fiat Socialism for the 21st Century

‘Fiat socialism’ would enable an open and prosperous society governed by the principles of modern monetary theory (MMT). A society without unemployment or poverty, in which everybody had a decent job (either in the private sector, or in the public sector) allowing people to fulfil all their basic needs and coordinate their working and private life because of reasonable time schedules. A society in where public services, education and health access were of the highest quality, and in which the level of prices remain stable. This isn't just a socialist pipedream. By using MMT as a lens to understand the monetary system, it's a realistic possibility, but it requires the political will to jettison neoliberalism.

Most people in Britain and the US believe that they live in a democracy. However, it is now so easy for rich and powerful people to manipulate politics that ordinary people have little influence over political decisions. On the most important issues, such as war or corporate power, there is little difference between the two major parties. Much decision-making takes place behind-the-scenes. Power is too centralised, there is too much secrecy and almost no accountability.

How governments and the media help corporations get away with their crimes
The mainstream media give the impression that corporate crime is rare. In fact, we are surrounded by big companies committing crime on a daily basis. We have created a system that gives rich rewards to companies, executives and shareholders when companies commit serious crimes. Mostly, they are never caught or prosecuted. If an individual commits a crime, they can be locked up for many years. When a company is caught committing the same crimes, the usual penalty is a fine.

Natalie served as a Human Rights Monitor in Hebron, Palestine in 2018 during the period the infamous Golani Brigade were stationed in the Palestinian city.

Resistance TV | Extinction Rebellion "The Shell 7"
The XR activists who took on oil giant Shell – and won
Six Extinction Rebellion activists were acquitted in a landmark verdict at Southwark Crown Court on the 24/4/21
The jury delivered its not guilty verdict for each defendant, despite Judge Perrins ruling that five of the six had no defence under the law.
The trial, for criminal damage to the Shell HQ building in London’s Waterloo in April 2019, which could have led to a maximum five year prison sentence and / or a £10k fine each, is XR’s second only case to be heard before a jury.
The verdict is being hailed as a major victory for climate campaigners everywhere facing increasing criminalisation. Simon Bramwell, 49, cofounder of Extinction Rebellion, said: “It is a significant victory for the truth of these times, when despite the letter of the law, jurors can clearly see that a broken window is a just response to a breaking world.”
“How fitting that this comes after Earth Day and the two year anniversary of the death of environmental lawyer Polly Higgins, founder of the Stop Ecocide campaign, to whom we dedicated our non violent direct action against Shell. With today’s verdict, it is clear who the real climate criminals are in the climate and ecological emergency.

The scourge of racism is still an issue in the 21st century and one of the worst manifestations of racism is in the apartheid state of Israel. Solidarity with the Palestinian cause is therefore intrinsic to the fight against racism. In 2015 the Supreme Court determined that the law of joint enterprise had been wrongly interpreted for 30 years, yet people convicted under that discredited law are still languishing in prison. It was used to convict marginalised and vulnerable defendants predominately from BAME and working-class communities resulting in numerous miscarriages of justice. With little or no actual evidence of involvement against them, many of these defendants were given mandatory life sentences for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

NHS: A Privateers' Treasure Trove with Dr Bob Gill
Britain's health service is increasingly being used to generate profits for the private sector. Last month the insidious privatisation of our NHS saw 'Operose Health', which is the UK subsidiary of US health insurance giant, 'Centene', acquire 'AT Medics', a primary care provider responsible for 49 GP surgeries and over 370,000 patients in the Greater London area. Operose Health has been taking over GP surgeries and practices across the country for a number of years and this latest acquisition means it with have a total of 70 GP surgeries and practices in its portfolio.
Labour Places ex-Israeli Spy in Keir Starmer's Office
Keir Starmer’s Labour Party has hired a former Israeli spy to work in the leader’s office helping manage Labour’s social media output. The ex-spy is Assaf Kaplan, who worked in Israeli military intelligence for nearly five years as an officer in the cyber-warfare branch of Unit 8200. According to his LinkedIn profile, Kaplan was in the Israeli army’s military intelligence division from May 2009 to November 2013.
Unit 8200 specialises in spying, hacking and encryption. It carries out blackmail, mass surveillance and systematic discrimination against Palestinians. In 2014, a group of whistleblowers detailed how the unit spies on Palestinian civilians living under Israeli military occupation.
Many people are asking why Sir Keir Starmer wants an ex-Israeli spy running Labour’s social media output, and what signal this sends to the Palestinian people, whose land is occupied by a brutal apartheid regime.
