In this episode, we talk with Dr. Sylvia Owusu-Ansah, MD, MPH, FAAP, who is the Associate Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine and the EMS Medical Director at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. We cover Dr. Owusu-Ansah's path to emergency medicine, her background and journey through public health, and her new program, CHAMP, which aims to improve public health education and foster mentorship at the middle school level.
