Hey everyone it’s your girl Mya Dasia and I’m back with season 6 of me and the Lord’s podcast “cultivate women with Christ”. In this episode I discuss holines, fruitfullnes and conviction.

Pleasure make sure you don’t take anything I say out of context. I do have a nose piercing however that was BEFORE CHRIST. If the Lord tells me to remove it (conviction) I’ll gladly do that. Now that I’m WITH Christ I know better and so I do better. Once you have knowledge of a thing and you still indulge in it that’s when it can too become sin. (James 4:17). Conviction is the work of the Holy Spirit I explain the definition briefly in the episode.

It’s not religious to be SET APART ( HOLY) for the LORD!

The sole message of this episode is that as Christian’s we should never be trying to get as close to sin to make excuses for sin and/or see how much we can get away it. Also, It’s not a matter of if it’s sin or not. It’s a matter of does it please God and is it fruitful?

In John 15:2-6 Jesus says that as Christian’s we must bear fruit and any branch that don’t bear fruit he prunes and removes the bad fruit. One can’t produce good fruit if there are pleasing their fleshly desires instead of walking the ways of the spirit. 1 Corinthians 10:23 says, "All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial or advantageous"

For example, compromising to please the flesh by indulging in secular/worldly things. If your mind is filled with the world then how can fruits be produced? You may say what fruit am I referring to, I am referring to the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Now we all have personal convictions but many times the people will say things like “oh that’s your personal conviction” to excuse their indulgence in the flesh/world.

Other Christian’s personal convictions shouldn’t be another Christian license to validate their close proximity to sin.

It’s not about whether an action will send someone to hell or not but it’s about being far from that line of sin to be able to walk in the spirit to please our Heavenly Father.

Paul warns Christians in Galatia not to waste their freedom in Christ by serving their flesh,

What will you choose the flesh or the spirit? Don’t be a carnal minded Christian but be spiritual minded being sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Pray and ask God for that sensitivity and for you to walk in the ways that please and honor Him.

Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things".

Romans 8:5-8
This verse states that people who are controlled by the flesh's desires pursue things that gratify the flesh, and that those people cannot please God. The mind of the flesh is characterized by reason and sense without the Holy Spirit, and is hostile to God because it doesn't submit to God's Law.

Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭21‬ ‭CSB‬‬
I say, then, walk by the Spirit and you will certainly not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you don’t do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the work
