In the mid 50s, Anjette’s was a popular business in the town of Macon, Georgia. A southern dinner whose customers ranged from judges, attorneys, businessmen, and civic leaders. The owner, Anjette Lyles, was well known among the community. Her warm, charming and inviting personality made her business a favourite among the locals, and her good looks had her white-collar male patrons coming back for more. Anjette always welcomed her customers with hugs, warm conversations, and good food. However, the glamourous platinum-haired beauty would soon be known for serving up more than southern comfort kitchen food, as those around her were mysteriously dying. Murder was on the menu.

How well do you know your neighbours? Do you ever stop and take a moment to talk to them or simply nod your head hello when passing by? Do you really know who lives in the apartment across the hall from you or wonder what the quiet neighbour that always keeps to themselves is really like. In February 1983, tenants of a multi-unit apartment building started noticing problems with the buildings plumbing. After discovering that they were all experiencing similar issues, one concerned tenant decided that it was time to contact a drain specialist to come investigate and determine the reason for the blocked drainpipes. After entering a manhole by the side of the building, the drain inspector discovered the cause of the blockage…there appeared to be human remains inside. The tenants realized that they were living with a killer.
