The discussion extends to questioning modern societal trends of prioritizing personal luxury over building households, drawing on teachings from Augustine and Jerome. This episode aims to reshape the listener's understanding of the value of children and the importance of procreation within marriage. It underlines the intrinsic value of human life and the sanctity of family as central to Christian belief, encouraging a departure from the societal norm of willful childlessness among married couples for personal gratification. 00:00 Welcome to the Current Reality Podcast00:21 Diving Into Population Control and Modern Myths00:48 The Echoey Room Explained: Behind the Scenes01:21 Reflecting on Modern Conveniences and Historical Hardships04:07 Darwinism and Its Impact on Humanity's Self-Perception09:37 World Economic Forum: A Deep Dive into Its Controversial Agenda40:46 The Jaffe Memo: A Blueprint for Population Control?48:54 Rethinking Population: A Faith Perspective50:42 The Value of Human Life in Christian Thought51:21 Human Beings: Consumers or Creators?52:25 The Myth of Overpopulation Debunked53:12 Historical Perspectives on Population and Prosperity54:37 Challenging Modern Attitudes Towards Procreation01:01:27 The Biblical Mandate for Fruitfulness01:02:56 Reframing the Value of Children in Society01:11:02 Confronting Personal Convictions on Parenthood01:30:44 The Church's Role in Valuing Life and Future Generations For questions or comments, send us an email at currentrealitypodcast@gmail.com.Our church is Christ the King Church in Cincinnati, OH. Show NotesIn this episode, Michael and Wade delve into the themes of institutional loyalty, conservative resurgence, and the importance of staying engaged in reform efforts within Christian institutions.

They dissect the ethos of leaving versus staying and fighting within flawed organizations, drawing parallels with broader societal and political examples to underline their message. They address the challenges of navigating imperfections within Christian denominations, particularly highlighting the Southern Baptist Convention as a case study for potential reform and resurgence. Reflecting on personal journeys and changes in theological stances, they stress the value of patience, teaching, and learning in the context of faith. Throughout, the discussion is peppered with references to biblical teachings, showcasing how scripture informs their perspective on engagement versus withdrawal from imperfect institutions.

Many Christian husbands live by the mantra, “whatever makes mama happy,” but this isn’t wise or good for a Christian household. Christian husbands should not let the emotions of their wives determine the emotional temperature of their homes, but should lead their homes in self-control and temperance. That’s what Michael and Wade explore in this episode, with practical suggestions and listener questions at the end.

King's Domain Conference: "Clear Speech for a Confused Age"

The first King's Domain conference will be this April 13-15!

King's Domain is a ministry made possible by CTK that seeks to apply God’s Word and Christian theology to issues of our day that are underrepresented in the Christian landscape. This first conference is designed to do two things:

1) Expose the ways in which modern Christians have been complicit in the dulling of our own message through a pre-commitment to “winsomeness."
2) Demonstrate a more faithful form of Christian discourse that is clear, direct, and godly. Each of the conference speakers are known for their bold, precise, and clear speech.

This conference will equip you to speak the truth truthfully and in love in a way that is sorely needed in our day. We would love to see you there!

When: Thursday, April 13th, 6:00 PM - Saturday, April 15th, 12:00 PM
Where: Christ the King (Uptown)
Speakers: Aaron Renn, Michael Foster, Chase Davis, Josh Daws, and Michael Clary

In this episode, we discuss the why God reveals himself in masculine terms in scripture. God relates to His redeemed creation as a husband relates to a bride. God’s masculinity in no way diminishes women or femininity because it is for his bride that Christ gave his life. Also, God's masculinity in no way exalts men to a higher status than women because both men and women comprise the bride of Christ together equally (Gal 3:28). In God’s household, masculine and feminine are both ways God is glorified in men and women who are distinct from one another yet created for union with each other.
