Conjuring Identity is a podcast that explores the crossroads of magic + power / self + other / past + future / sacred + profane. Each episode features living practitioners of a spiritual + magical tradition that has emerged at the crossroads of cultures, alongside academic experts who study those traditions and cultures. Together, we look at how we connect with the past to find power and meaning in the present. We investigate the unique magic, spirituality, and faiths that emerge in diasporas; we explore the rich traditions that are born when diasporas intersect; and we examine the connections between power, identity, tradition, innovation, meaning and culture.
