The Gospel of John is the fourth Gospel, written by John, who was an apostle of Jesus. John stands apart from the other gospels because the other gospels were full biographies of Jesus’ life - called synoptic gospels - but the gospel of John only included what was necessary for explaining that Jesus Christ is the Son of God made man. Almost 90% of the material in John’s gospel is unique, not part of the other gospels. Today we’re going to learn more about the Gospel of John.
