How do you set boundaries with difficult people? It's a tough question, but in this episode, Tori and Chanel break it down and talk about how to do it! From the recommendation of Chanel's therapist, the girls discuss insights from a chapter in the book: Set Boundaries, Find Peace by Nedra Glover Tawwab. They reflect on what constitutes a difficult person, what a boundary is, and what fair boundaries look like. The girls also answer questions like are all boundaries good boundaries?
From people-pleasing to the importance of open communication and self-reflection in setting and maintaining boundaries, this episode is packed with useful tips and perspectives. Tori and Chanel also share personal experiences and examples of setting boundaries, such as asking a friend to take down an unflattering photo on social media. We remember the early days of Facebook! They also discuss common reasons why people may not respect boundaries, such as not stating needs or expectations clearly. Overall, the conversation emphasizes the importance of setting and maintaining boundaries for personal growth and healthy relationships.

Tori & Chanel are FINALLY back together after Tori's busy few weeks of traveling. And since our favorite duo wasn't spending quality time together, they were able to spend a little more time binging some new shows. First up, the romance drama on Netflix, One Day. We all know how the girls love a good show to cry at and One Day offered just that. !!!SPOILER ALERT!!! This episode recaps the story of Dexter and Emma Morley played by Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod, respectively. This "will-they-won't-they" drama limited series checks all the boxes - it's a friendship story, it's a love story, it's a coming of age story. It's literally everything that you need to sit down and have your heart completely destroyed. And speaking of feeling completely destroyed, Tori & Chanel also recap the docu-series Quiet on Set: the Dark Side of Kids TV which shares the untold story of the toxic and abusive work environment at Nickelodeon Studios. Tori & Chanel reflect on what Nickelodeon meant to them as kids and how this documentary has changed their perspective on Nickelodeon's content during the 90s and early 2000s. From Amanda Bynes to Drake Bell, the girls truly empathize for these child stars and are shocked to learn what was taking place behind the scenes of their favorite TV Channel.
On a lighter note, Chanel asks Tori about her recent solo travels. Tori shares how she's feeling a little run down after all of her travels, but really enjoyed her time alone in Amsterdam. This "solo Bachelorette" as she's calling it, was the perfect way for her to feel a little more independent, test her street smarts, and step outside her comfort zone as an introvert. You can expect some new travel essentials that you must pack on your next trip, solo traveling safety tips, and things to keep in mind if you ever want to try travel to a city alone.

We're not sure about you, but we can definitely feel the affects of this mercury retrograde. Since the last episode, Tori & Chanel experienced a minor earthquake, a solar eclipse, and quite a few other shakeups, but nothing helps get us girls and friends of the podcast back on track like some good old fashioned girl talk.
In this episode, Tori and Chanel debrief each of their earthquake experiences in New Jersey and New York, and reflect on the reality of the situation. In lighter news, Chanel asks Tori what her thoughts are on Beyonce's new album "Cowboy Carter" and they discuss some of their favorite songs.
It wouldn't be an episode of Glad We Talked if there weren't a few favorite product recommendations. Tori reviews hair and skincare product recommendations from friends of the podcast and Chanel offers her insights on some of these favorites as well. From dry scalp to the trending K18 Hair Product line, you might have a few new items to add to cart as well!
And back on a darker note, Tori asks Chanel if she's watched the new "Quiet on Set" documentary about the dark side of Nickelodeon television in the late 90s and early 2000s. No spoiler alerts, but a strong recommendation to watch.
FYI - Since Tori will be traveling, no new episode next week!!!

This episode is going places Tori & Chanel haven’t gone before… to the parts of our bodies that are often overlooked and infrequently talked about in public… the girls are talking about Forgotten Skincare with the brand's founder and CEO, Alex Pottash.
Alex Pottash founded Forgotten Skincare with a simple idea: to develop solutions for common skin concerns that are often overlooked by mainstream beauty companies. Since starting the company in February 2020, she has helped over 30,000 women feel more confident to go sleeveless and feel like their truest self. WIth their hero product, The Original Underarm Brightening Deodorant leading the way, Forgotten Skincare is on track to break down stigmas in the beauty industry around concerns like dark underarms and inner thighs. When Alex is not working on FS, you can find her on the beach with her Bernedoodle or exploring a National Park.
Tori & Chanel dive deep into how Alex started her brand by using SEO in her previous marketing agency career to identify an underserved market of people who struggle with hyperpigmentation under their arms. And, of course, there’s so much to talk about because the girls want to uncover it all! From laser hair removal to first experiences shaving to bikini lines and the influence of media on hair removal practices, Tori, Chanel and Alex are combing through it all. Of course, it’s hard to talk about hair without talking about beauty standards and confidence around body image and insecurities. The girls spend time to highlight what they do to focus on inward beauty to feel and look their best on the outside.
If you’ve ever wondered what starting your own business is like, Alex also shares her story on how she became a founder and the routines and boundaries she set up to grow her business.

A few nice days in March and we can’t help but feel like spring is on its way. And as our girls are enjoying the warmer weather, longer days, and bought here and there of rain, they’re also thinking about to wear. Much like the millennial clothing crisis episode, Tori and Chanel are yet again puzzled with what they’ll be wearing this spring… especially on their feet. They run through what they typically wear in spring while sharing their thoughts on what’s trending according to Who What Wear, Vogue, and their favorite influencers. From ballet flats to trench coats to athleisure, Tori and Chanel want the friends of the podcast to know what they’ll be adding to cart (or not). Plus, Tori and Chanel touch on Love is Blind (of course) with a few outstanding items. Chanel has an update regarding Sebby’s health and her mental health and Tori laughs about a walk with Mitch.

Love is Blind is back with an all new season, so you know Tori & Chanel HAVE to talk about it. This episode of Glad We Talked is dedicated to the first 9 episodes of Love is Blind Season 6 and the girls are going through the line up of contestants couple by couple. First up, everyone’s favorite Love is Blind celebrity (and no we do not mean Nick and Vanessa Lachey), but Love is Blind’s very own Megan Fox lookalike Chelsea and her southern beau Jimmy. Chanel and Tori chat about the fairness of mentioning looks in the pods and Tori shares an interesting alignment with one of the people in this pair. The gals move on to AD and Clay noting the importance of race conversations between contestants. From AD and Matthew to Ken and Brittany, Chanel notes that the show is doing a better job to spotlight race in relationships. Plus, Tori and Chanel discuss how many of the contestants could benefit from therapy and couples counseling (ahem, Jeremy & Laura). And in addition to therapy, it’s apparent that some of the couples, Johnny and Amy, could benefit from sex education classes. It’s all here and we’re so glad to talk about it this week and cannot wait to talk about it when we find out if love is truly blind.

Have you ever been mad at a friend and not sure if you should tell them or not? Or have you ever felt bad for being upset with a friend and unsure whether or not you have the right to be? Maybe you and your friend are both mad at each other and too stubborn to admit what you did wrong… well, this week, Tori & Chanel are answering the question “is it ok to be mad at a friend?” because THEY WERE IN A FIGHT! Hard to believe, we know, that our favorite pod besties could ever be in a fight, but alas, they did warn you that they have very different personalities and sometimes their friendship doesn’t make sense. The girls felt it was only right to address the fight after talking it out and sharing it with you, friends of the podcast, so you too can see that friendship fights are normal and not every fight leads to the end of a friendship! They address how miscommunication can often lead to disagreements and highlight the importance of communication and creating a safe space for each other to express their feelings.
Don’t worry, there are some lighter topics first. Tori expresses her challenges in finding the perfect bridesmaid dress and Chanel shares a personal work experience on how she tackled her fear of public speaking.

A little bit about Jenna before we get into the episode, Jenna prides herself on being genuine and relatable. If you've ever wondered how to grow your social media following, Jenna is sharing all the details in this episode. She shares her personal social media journey, how she built her following, and how she "niched" down authentically. Plus, Tori & Chanel dive into questions with Jenna about what dating is like in California, what the dating app scene is, and how dating has changed post-COVID. Jenna gets into the dating advice and relationship lessons she has learned, and stresses the importance of honesty and communication. As the gals chat, Jenna shares her experiences in the Newport Beach area which leads into a candid convo about body image and societal standards. Jenna also talks about her recent diagnosis of PCOS — she highlights the emotional impact of weight gain and the difficulty in finding the right solutions for her body as well as issues she has faced in finding effective treatment. The job market is tough and unfortunately, we’re seeing companies laying off employees left and right. Just this week, we’ve seen massive layoffs across tech, media, finance, and retail industries. While it’s a difficult topic to talk about, Chanel & Tori are diving right into the conversation about what it’s like to get let-go from a job. Approximately 2 years ago, Chanel was part of a mass layoff, one that eliminated her position during a brand acquisition. In this episode, Chanel shares her experience of what the first 24-hours were like and what she did as immediate next steps to secure a role during her severance period. From dusting off her resume to networking during downtime to applying to endless job openings on LinkedIn, Chanel recaps how she went from fun-employed to back in the full-time grind.
In the upfront of the episode, Tori reviews outstanding items from last week and introduces new items like Spotify Daylist Playlist!

It’s been a minute, but Tori & Chanel are glad to be back on the podcast and now on Thursdays! The hump-day episode release made sense for a while, but now they’re making it their goal to prioritize the podcast (while maintaining work, personal lives, you know the drill). To achieve this goal, they felt shifting the day the podcast went live to Thursday made the most sense.

Whether you’re looking to establish new habits in 2024 or finally achieve a New Year’s resolution, Tori & Chanel are talking about some goals they’ve set and achieved or are hoping to continue working on. They talk about the SMART strategy and the 90-90-1 method to give you some structure and thought starters.
Plus, Tori & Chanel quickly recap what they were up to on their breaks (hello side hustle for extra cash and fitness gains).
And what would be a glad we talked episode without a real review?! Tori brings Summer Fridays and Dior Lip Oil to the real review segment for Chanel’s expert input.

Quick question: do you think that you’re able to develop skills and talents through hard work and learning or do you think that you’re born with certain skills and talents? If you believe you can grow, then you likely have a growth mindset. But what does that mean? Tori recently enrolled in a professional development course where she learned about growth versus fixed mindsets and she’s sharing this with Chanel and the Glad We Talked community of friends. Whether it’s in the workplace, in a relationship, or with hobbies, understanding which kind of mindset you have when it comes to your potential can really help you achieve your goals in life. Tori & Chanel share personal examples of their mindsets and times where they’ve seen both growth and fixed mindsets at play. The sources for this week’s episode include What Having a “Growth Mindset” Actually Means by Carol Dweck and Fixed Vs. Growth: The Two Basic Mindsets That Shape Our Lives by Maria Popova.

But before the girls get to how Mitch popped the question, Tori & Chanel hop on the latest TikTok trend and ask Mitch this burning question: how often do you think about the Roman Empire?? But what will we wear?! Yes, the girls are excited for fall; however, the change in seasons is bringing on some real feelings about their current fall wardrobe. Maybe it’s a result of the pandemic, maybe it’s the fact that she’s a Millennial, but Tori is super confused about what she should be wearing this fall and Chanel is ready to talk her out of this clothing crisis. Perhaps the answer is a capsule wardrobe… but before they tackle the topic of outdated fashion trends, they recap some outstanding items (and straight up false information) from last weeks’ episode. In this episode, Tori & Chanel attempt to answer the questions: what do you wear out? what are the latest fashion trends? and what the heck is happening with skinny jeans and low-rise jeans? But in all sincerity, the purpose of this episode isn’t to sh*t talk our ex-bffs (some friends are for seasons and some are for reasons), but to help listeners and those struggling through a friendship breakup get some guidance and know they’re not alone. Where are you?? Are you ready for it? This episode, the girls are recapping their experiences at their favorite musicians' concerts. Of course Chanel went out in style for the Taylor Swift concert, but she tells all about her era’s tour outfit and more. Plus, Tori & Chanel share one of their friendship core memories of a concert they went to in Atlantic City in 2018. They can laugh about it now, but it wasn’t so funny at the time.
FYI - This is episode 24, not 25 like Chanel will try to tell you at the beginning of this episode, but we're losing track with all those busy episodes anyways.
