The idea of ‘choice’ can be paralyzing. On this podcast, Marlon, Kana, Karthik, and Polina consider numerous dichotomous choices with unique perspectives and discussion to answer the age-old question, “Would you rather?”
This week, the group debates if they would rather believe their spouse’s innocence in the event of them being accused of murder, or err on the side of police evidence. Later, harrowing life or death decisions in various self driving car scenarios are discussed, circling back to an age-old question: would you rather kill one person? Or five?
In this episode, Karthik/Marlon and Kana/Polina are partners in crime who have been caught red-handed. Each pair has been posed with the question, “Would you rather cooperate with the police or stay silent?”, their choice determines the length of their partner’s and their own jail sentence to put their bonds of friendship to the test.
