Everything – Meet Me In The Middle
It’s a brand-new season and that comes quote-unquote brand-new threads. So, Keeg and I decided to provide only the most useful feedback on the looks that’ll be sported on Premier League pitches in the matches to come. All that today on Coffee with a Kick.
A tale of two matches, but both had goals aplenty. The bronze medal match was a bit one note, while the gold medal match was a thriller. Also, USWNT got back on top.
It was a whale of a Monday and the semis delivered. Now, we just await the medal matches.
It was a rough day for America: North, Central, and South. Now, it’s time to set up the medal matches.
The boys in blue pulled it off and have a challenge in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, a matchup pegged as a final comes up in another QF.
Well, the US didn’t quite make it out as well as they would have hoped considering the first half. Meanwhile, Japan jumps into the conversation for frontrunner.
It’s time for the Olympics! The USA has a long haul to medal in this event, but let’s not put the cart before the horse. First, they have to make it out of their group.
Don’t be fooled by the score lines. One of these finals was not like the other. Come join the boys as the wrap up summer tourney season. Oh wait, Olympics will be up next week.
England manages to make their way to the final only to face a red-hot Spain. Colombia knocks out (somewhat literally) Uruguay to face off Argentina in a battle of unbeaten streaks.
Extra time was more common than not in the quarterfinals of #euro2024 and #copaamerica leaving some favorites left to limp into the semis and others to be bounced disgracefully. Also, does the #usmnt even care about the #olympics?
The Round of 16 is upon us for #euro2024 and the matchups are anything but boring. Also, #copaamerica is down to the last group stage match with a lot of work left for some major players. (We’re looking at you, USMNT & Mexico.)
Matchday 2 brought more stunning strikes and boneheaded blunders, leaving #euro2024 anything but settled going into the final day.
Group stage of #euro2024 is ending with a bang. Some of the heavy hitters are on the bubble and no group is fully settled as of yet.
Not to be left out, America’s in on the tourney action. It’s #copaamerica time! The summer soccer season abounds in the hot hot hot environs of the US.
Well, the gremlins still abound, but that won’t stop us. Matchday 1 of #euro2024 did not disappoint the casual fan, but some of the headliners may be biting their nails a bit.
A tech issue precluded our lovely faces from gracing the screen today, but we are here nonetheless for Matchday 2 of #euro2024.
It’s tourney time in Europe! Lock in for a summer of competitive and critical international matches. The Americas will pick it up shortly, but until then, it’s the #euro2024 show.
It’s been a wild ride this year, but you know what? We’ve basically ended where we started. City on top. The same three that came up went down. But there was plenty that we learned. Zander and Kegan recap some of the highlights and lowlights of the season.
While there were some good matches, there wasn’t a lot of tension. Man City took care of business to make it 4 in a row.
It all comes down to this: one final match to decide the title. Who will come away with the hardware? Manchester City with their record-breaking 4th in a row or Arsenal to break the streak?
Well, as much as we hate to say it in some respects, the picture is much clearer now. It’ll be either City or Arsenal, but City has the edge; and those who came up are all but certain to go right back down.
The UCL Final is set and it’s not an all-German affair. Plus, Matchday 37 is set up to mean everything to some and nothing to most.
It was a long matchday for the Premier League and the hopes are dimming for Burnley, Luton, and Arsenal. Meanwhile, all our picks have been tabulated and the Champions League continues apace.
The Champions League comes through with some thrilling matches and we have an extended matchweek from today through to Monday.
Liverpool puts themselves out of the title race and Sheffield is officially bound for the Championship next season. Arsenal keeps pace, but it may not be enough. Plus, the Champions League semis in the midweek.
Liverpool stumbles again and it seems like curtains on their chances at the crown this season. Meanwhile, Luton, Nottingham, and Burnley cannot decide who is staying up.
City held serve this weekend as all the top teams won, but a bit of daylight is now opening up at the bottom. Also, we’ve got a beefy plate of EPL action in the midweek.
The semi-finals are set and England is missing out. In fact, it may be a German only final. Speaking of semis, the FA Cup final gets decided this weekend alongside some more pivotal relegation matches.
The table is in turmoil. Arsenal and Liverpool choke away their title position, relegation sides tried to better their position, and City are back on top. Plus Champions League in the midweek.
Whew. That Champions League action was something else and we’re set up for thrilling reverse fixtures. For the weekend, the bottom of the table has some consequential clashes on deck.
Neither mic issues nor video problems will keep us from bringing you what you crave. It’s been a busy 7 days and will be an exciting midweek.
It was a rocky weekend for teams with a lead and no one at the top seems to want to beat each other. On top of that, it’s a full slate over the midweek with some intriguing matchups.
We’re back, baby! With international break done and dusted, the final sprint of the EPL season is upon us. And we’re back with a banger City v Arsenal.
We now enter the international break with the table in turmoil. Nottingham loses 4 points, the top has 3 teams within 1, and Coventry beat the Wolves.
The midweek came through. Great matches on both Tuesday and Wednesday. But this weekend has little EPL going on with FA Cup quarterfinals keeping most of the league busy.
Tense, but unresolved. This was the overarching theme for the weekend. The only decisive portion was that Bournemouth is basically safe from relegation. They can make that a for-sure thing on Wednesday with their match with Luton mixed in with some juicy Champions League matches.
The midweek held few surprises as the favorites move on, but there are some tasty matchups this week at the top of the table.
Does Sheffield even care anymore? City to continue to own Manchester. And Liverpool escapes a lackluster draw.
The Manchester Derby is back this weekend and there’s a London Derby to boot. See what the boys think is in store.
With 12 matches remaining, the title race and the escape of 18th are tight, tight, tight. Zander and Kegan recap what just went down.
Liverpool and City take care of their business in the midweek while the Champions League disappoints. A smaller slate is on the docket for the weekend with only 8 matches.
City leaves points on the table in a winnable match while Liverpool and Arsenal handle business. Everton gets out of the relegation zone. And the Champions League continues in the midweek.
The Champions League knockouts got off to a shocking start with some favorites faltering; the Blue Card is coming; and the top and bottom of the table are getting tight.
Tottenham and Sheffield got the job done, while Villa takes another step back. The question remains whether it will be enough. Also, the Champions League action is back!
The title race is ramping up, but if Tottenham want to be part of it, they need full points this week. Sheffield is in a similar, but more dire situation, against Luton. The gates of relegation stand open before them.

Though the slate may not jump off the page, there are some key matches to keep an eye on. Will the Wolves be able to cope without Nunez? (It’s only Sheffield after all). Can Newcastle prove themselves against a top-of-the-table team? How badly will City manhandle Bournemouth?

There was so much football this weekend and the NFL hasn’t even started yet. Hunter and Zander tried their best to drink from the fire hose and run through all of the notable things of the weekend, even some of the juicier NFL cuts, trades, and contracts.
