I am that friend who will send you long rambling voicenotes so why not make it a podcast, where you can have your best nutritionist friend in your pocket
After a hiatus I picked this podcast back up and in this episode I use this as a lesson about viewing things as failures and how on our food freedom journey we may take a pause, we may go back to restriction but that doesn't mean we've failed. It also doesn't mean that at any point we can't pick that back up and continue on our journey.
If you need that reminder today give this episode a listen
In todays episode I talk about why focusing on your health in 2023 has nothing to do with weight loss and what you can actually focus on that we know improves your health (both mental and physical) rather than what new diet you can follow.
I also touch on how although the media would often like us to think otherwise we have very little control over how healthy we are so don't put too much pressure on yourself!
After the frankly disgusting NY Times article this week basically telling us the new fashion for womens bodies, I talk about why thats problematic and why we need to be applying the idea that bodies aren't trends to our own lives.
I remind you that
Smaller isn't better
That we don't have to reject our bodies
Our bodies do not need to look any way other than the way they do
Introduction to this podcast series and what Voicenotes From A Nutritionist is all about and what you can expect from future episodes
In todays episode I talk about one of the key concepts when it comes to ditching the guilt around food and that is understanding the guilt/restrict cycle.
I talk about how it works in real life walking you through a real life example and then how you can start to shift the thoughts so that you don't have to keep feeling the guilt
